You're much braver than me. Never in a million years would I go swimming in there! Despite it being freezing, this unusual feeling of not knowing what's down there is what gives me the creeps. It's so eerie and murky down there as well, anyone can be fooled to think that there is an ancient monster lurking beneath. I'd die of a heart attack to even tread a toe in that water.
Thank you! 😊 It definitely takes a bit of bravery (or craziness!) to dive into Loch Ness! I get what you mean about the eerie feeling-there’s definitely something mysterious about the depths. I promise it’s not as scary as it seems, but I can understand why it would give you the creeps! Maybe one day you’ll dip a toe in-just think of it as a legendary adventure! Thanks for watching!
For the one who did this without the wetsuit, my experience is after 2 minutes, you'll get use to it. Your body will settle down. I also don't drive under immediately due to my fast respiration. Again, after 2 minutes it gets better. The real buzz comes after you get out. Wrap up good, protect you feet and have a cup of coffee. I do my wild swimming in Michigan. Loch Ness looks like a great lake to swim.
Thank you so much for watching glad you enjoyed it. Please check out some of the other Vlog series which are not as scary as a swimming in Loch Ness. I recently just walk around the Wales Coast Path. 870 miles in 50 days. You may enjoy watching that. There is a little bit of swimming involved as we needed to cross a river. Enjoy
Brrr. Fun. I like a good ice cold plunge, but I prefer an all-at-once entry. Cant when it's shallow and gradual like that. You had to do it the hard and still toughed it out. It's like Leo said " a thousand little knives sticking you."
It really is! Such a beautiful swim - I recently went cold water swimming in Lake Windermere which was awesome -that video will be coming out in a few weeks

@@toughgirlchallenges , Hi Sarah - now that I'm getting into regular Wild Swims - a pair of neoprene gloves have proved to be a God-send, I'd recommend going to a Triathlon shop to try them on for a close but not restrictive fit. Others in my swim group have opted for neoprene booties as well - I'm still in my faithful Crocs! You might like to check out the app 'Meetup', lots of social group listing - you might be lucky and find a local Wild Swim Group you can join!
@@toughgirlchallenges Hi Sarah, well done for keeping going! By the way - I've been taking a close look at rivers and lakes on Google Maps in Norfolk, then exploring likely swim spots directly. Perhaps of interest, everytime a river changes height (natural or man made) the down river plunge pool is scoured out by turbulent water, which makes a great swim spot! Traditional mill ponds have potential, but sometimes (and less obviously) there is a plunge pool just where a road crosses a river, even quite small rivers have possibilities!
I’ve been following you since AT .. and how do i say this in a nice way .. ok here goes, YOU HAVE ONE KICK ASS BODY. I say that in a honest and admiring way.
