not bad some time it eats up all my spall, so i guess its ight it more just inconveniences them slightly
I think in theory it makes a lot of sense and is a good change. HOWEVER, they made it really janky on a lot of tanks as of right now. The PUMA, Namer 30, a couple of Chinese things, ect. Basically a good idea but executed by Gaijin, so needs a lot of work.

@@DOLLARplays it's a good idea, just needs work. The fact that the PUMAs turret ring is entirely filled is not a good change, it breaks far too easily to internal fragments now. Aside from that, I'd say this is a good change

@@jlouw8212it's been the 2nd most fun br for me so far and I'm playing Germany, 1st place goes to 6.7 just because of the tiger 2 and jagdtiger but I'm more consistent in getting kills at 8.0-9.3

I remember when the PUMA was first added I had just unlocked the US M48A1and then had to fight PUMAs. M82 Shot really humbled many a PUMA rush player
The day that Dollar decides to switch to a Tiger, KV-1, Or a Jumbo is the day War Thunder learns what angling can do
The problem with historical maps is the size, they are either very small or very large.
In my opinion Gaijin should invent his own maps with a good size and above all BALANCED.
But I imagine that everything will remain the same if the community does not really show its discomfort or I really don't know, I don't know this company much but through communication everything can be achieved (I hope)
it will never happen the devs are only worried about making money and 99% of the player base is fucking so brain dead that the only strategy they know is hold w adding new maps wont change anything the game needed a competency based progression system so that you could only progress to higher tier vehicles based on how well you do forcing players to learn or be stuck at reserve tier forever

I can understand on some vehicles but these vehicles kind of rely on their pseudo tankinis in order to survive, they're not small enough nor in some cases fast enough to actually deal with enemies viably. Especially with the puma and it's lack of atgm

You always have banger intros, but this one.....DAMN this one slaps, espcially the choice of music.
My understanding of why the AA round is so inconsistent is it sets the fuse to explodecat the distance the plane is when its fired. If the planes flying twors you the shell will explode behind them. If theyre flying away from you itll explode... well also behind them. But tword you. And only when they fly perpandicular to you will it actually fuzlse decently close.

I wish America would make a test bed version of near-peer armored vehicles. To not just gather data but collect the best aspects which work.

Atleast the PUMA is still pretty usable. The French IFV with almost the same gun at 9.7 has slightly worse pen, only 50 cal proof armor, worse thermals and no AHEAD round. Only thing it has going for it is the mobility, but that doesn't mean much when the maps are so small and enemies are usually so attentive that most surprises attacks just get foiled, especially, because the vehicle is even bigger than the PUMA. I unlocked it from a christmas GE box and as a French main, I was happy at first, but soon got dissappointed. I can't wait to unlock the VEXTRA instead, so that I get a main cannon instead for a light vehicle.

You should play the Chinese PGZ09, it also gets Ahead rounds now with a much higher firerate than the Puma (duh).
That thing was already OP before the last update with its gen 3 Thermals and IRST Radar, now its just a Nuke printer at 8.3 tbh :>.

appreciate the video and your relievingly sane takes/notes as usual.
same maps for years and always been too small for mid tier and up, now getting smaller and gaijin still seems to want to choke matches as quickly as possible (assuming to keep strict management of rewards and incentives).
ratty vehicles would be less annoying with more distance (but also more usable with more flanks and options for being scouts (speaking as a m18, fox and vbc lover) and tons of vehicles could fill more purposes with larger and more dynamic maps (and with less planes or none at all).
armor would mean more and so would long range ballistics of our weapons.
