G load test is not at 1.7 times the max weight of the aircraft!! It is at 1.7 x the maximum load factor. So for example if the weight is 5000N, and the max load factor is 6, 5000N x 6 x 1,7 = 51000N

at 4:54 they just have a young boy lift in the entire powerplant complete with propeller. Leave it to Germans. It's probably a 97 HP Maybech or something. Looks like the engine pack is 60 lbs tops. Amazing.

Die Bruchsaaler entwickeln schon lange keine Segelflugzeuge mehr, die letzte "Innovation" war eine jährliche Gebühr für DG und LS Eigner. Flugzeuge entwickeln andere, DG kassiert nur. Ersatzteilpreise sind, wenn überhaupt verfügbar, eine Frechheit.
Das kann DG sehr wohl. Die Frage ist doch, was will der Kunde. Mit einer DG erhält er ein sehr hochwertiges alltagstaugliches Produkt. Es ist so, wie wenn man sich für ein Premium Auto entscheidet. Der eine tendiert zu BMW der andere zu Audi Mercedes oder Porsche. Da geht es nicht ums Mithalten sondern um die individuellen Anforderungen die man an sein Segelflugzeug stellt. Da gibt es auch keine gravierenden Qualitätsunterschiede zwischen den deutschen Herstellern. Und nicht alle Segelflieger brauchen eine auf Wettbewerb getrimmte Maschine.
