Thank you for your helpful video Ed! I have a RAM nail file hand piece that I'd gotten a bit stuck in a while back. Your hand piece is a little bit different than mine, but following your instructions helped me to get mine apart and more importantly, back together again with all parts in the right order! I appreciate your detailed instructions, it was like having my dad here with me showing me how to do it! 😊 Many thanks!!
Thanks Ed for posting this. These handpieces are going down all the time. I am going to order the parts and look up the layout on Google. Thanks again. Glynn
Can you let me know where you ordered the schematic for the ram handpiece and where to order the parts and can you change the bearing without special tools. Thanks in advance for your response.
My handpiece a little bit different but I did put everything together like you do when I turn on , have no noise, not working at all, please tell me why
kim thang there's so many possible things, I can't tell what's wrong. it is a power problem but all I can do is suggest. are the brushes installed correctly? plugged into control box? switch on? speed control turned up? basically, you have power traveling in two wires from control box. this must go through the brushes to the armature and that causes it to turn. all I can say fo sure is the brushes are not applying power to the armature. sorry I cant be more help
The owners manual has a parts list with a diagram of the handpiece: drive.google.com/viewerng/viewer?url=www.ramprodinc.com/skins/skin_4/manuals/RAMPOWER%2520INSTRUCTION%2520MANUAL%25201.pdf
Do a Google for rotary handpiece I don't remember where I found it. No special tools needed just a tiny Phillips screw driver. Magnetic is best. Ram Products 1-877-726-7763 for parts they may be able to supply a diagram. Be sure to lay the parts out in the order of dis-assembly so you can put it back together.
that's great. that was why I made it. I bought all new bearings but while making the video I found that a drop of gun oil saved my bearings. the new ones are still in the bag. Ram said not to oil them?
