I used to hear different group of songs in 1960s in 45 rrpm and 78 rpm records. I don't hear those songs these days. It starts with "Gunam Endraria Kumara" and goes like "Kulir mugam katti en kuraigalai theerthiduvai" and "Venn Thamarai malaral ivall kalvi katral illai" "Senthamarai malaral ivall chelvam petrall illai" etc. Where are those songs?

Murugadas swamy used to come to Ramakrishna mutt every year. I was fortunate to sit in the close quarters and listen to him for hours. Also fortunate to do namaskaram to him, touch his feet, got vibhoothi from him. I had asked for neyar virupam to sing alaipayudhe and he graced me with the song.
