I think one of the reasons why the USA is so dominant is because of the ammount of active players they got. for example they have almost 2000 players in the top 10000 thats a fifth of the players that are 4 digit!

Ed's explanation on why USA changed their roster is the same reason why Whitecat stepped down as #1 in Ranking.
Being at the top is the greatest thing you can achieve, but having no challenges is the most boring thing in the world.
It has nothing to do,being the best country doesn't = best player, know why? Cause players play tens of other tournaments that aren't nation vs nation.
It's the same reason vaxei stopped playing ranked Maps as well.

Fun fact - the most viewed match on Twitch from OWC 2019 was none of US games, but Germany vs Romania QF, only because it was competative match at all - with TB, chokes and really well perfomance from both teams

I think the most OP year for the USA team was when they had both idke and Vaxei in 2019. That shit was straight up unfair, idke in his tournament prime and being one of the greatest tournament players of all time and Vaxei being Vaxei. Pretty ridiculous showing.
They really do need to make the OWC cash prize way bigger if they want the tourney to grow

@@ominoussage you cant compare you (3k pp) and mrekk. But you can compare mrekk to utami for example. Mrekk lost to him, he also lost to Ekoro (i am not sure). As you could hear, Utami is a beast at every skillset, thats the thing, he is probably a better tournament player. Mrekk can read AR 11, he is good at jumps and HDDT, thats the reason he is #1 global, because his ability to farm pp is the best in the game. I am not saying that he is bad, but i personally think that there are better players than mrekk. Pp system shows how much pp you can farm.
@@xamzzy you're 100% right but I'm only saying that the pp ranking system does rank a player's skill to some degree. Sure it's not perfect if you start comparing players more thoroughly, but it still does its job well to some degree (like with me and mrekk)
@@ominoussage Of course, you need to compare two people with atleast same digit ranking i would say. In overall, pp system does measure your skills, but i would say this does not work in the top 10. Also i would love to mention Ekoro, who is 3 digit? He has the best fingercontrol and he is able to aim and tap weird patterns like nothing.

Merami is a pure speed player and he himself has said that he doesn't want to join any tournaments
Merami would be useful for NM5 and DT2 like haha bruh, it's like Aricin but worst, legit Trevrashor'd be a better pick
That would be sick, but Merami is EXCEPTIONAL at one skillset which isn't really seen often in OWC.
He also has godlike overall aim but since he isn't really an aim player so he hasn't necessarily practiced aim so it's very inconsistent.
