This first video in the series sees us walk 3 days across the West Highlands from Eileen Donan Castle to the Caledonian Canal. There will be 2 more videos to come that see us walk to Aviemore, Braemar and finish on the east coast at Montrose.

      Thanks for watching Nige, the TGO had been on my list for years. 2 weeks of Highland fun was pure bliss, periods of no connection with the outside world was one of the things that appealed to me the most.

Your videos are always great to watch and I look forward to the next installments. Is this you hooked on the Challenge? It can be a bit addictive 🙂

    Great video Dean, do you wear waterproof socks? If so do they work for you?

    • @DeanRead
      @DeanRead  2 роки тому

      Thanks for watching. I never bother with waterproof socks, I find that they make my feet sweat which defeats the object. I prefer to have a lightweight trail shoe that will dry quickly rather than have anything that will hold moisture. It's all personal preference though I guess but I don't know many trail or fell runners that use waterproof socks even in winter.
