- Information: hello everyone! Welcome to the 2nd video of the 95th season! Edison and Torch did a outstanding job of running there normal trains on public opening day. Edison was the first one to be pulled in at 3:45. Edison will be out for 2 weeks. Nothing bad but the staff wants to use torch for this month. i got a new tripod and fixed my frame rate now. So more better videos to come out this year! 7 is almost ready to be out and running again! Most likely Motor Muster it will be out but i will be attending this year. More exciting news, Double steam days are more to come throughout 2024! No updates with Huckleberry 152 at the moment. I hope you guys enjoyed such a wonderful weekend of trains! Information about Edison & Torch Lake:
Edison is based on an 0-4-0 switcher locomotive built about 1870 by Manchester Locomotive Works. Henry Ford purchased the switcher from Edison Portland Cement Company in 1932. Mr. Ford had the locomotive rebuilt into a 4-4-0 wheel arrangement by staff at Ford Motor Company's Rouge locomotive shop. Edison later went into regular service on Greenfield Village's railroad.
Torch Lake, built by Mason Machine Works in 1873, hauled ore for the Calumet and Hecla Mining Company on Michigan's Keweenaw Peninsula. The engine is an articulated design. The driving wheels pivot under the boiler, allowing the locomotive to handle sharp curves. Torch Lake joined The Henry Ford's collection in 1969.

It got a fresh coat of paint awhile ago but I can’t remember when it got a paint job on it
