There is no reason he would lie about this, he has a history of injuries and sub-optimal training sessions before lifting competitions but during competition he always opened with a ridiculous weight and destroyed the competition. I think Shi did give permission- but it was on the car ride Seb gave him, rather than in a formal environment. Shi probably didn't expect what will be on the T-Shirt, and Seb didn't exactly have an idea about it back then either. If you ask me I'd say it's more of a misunderstanding rather than intentional infringement. Still like to see them sort this out though.
