I LOVE these videos. Keep them coming good sir. Shows flexibility and creativity and dismantles all the “do’s and don’t” if it works, it works lol. I love it! Gave me a greater outlook on DIY painting my 88 ranger, keeping it in budget while yet looking great. That’s a win win
I’m not a big fan of red but if you’re going for a shifting metal flake look for that color then yes. As for the black it looks awesome and definitely a must use. I have to give it a 5 for both colors. I’d like to know what it would do on a white or cream color. I bet that would be an interesting combination too
Do this same pigment over the ink blue pls i would love that since im painting my truck that color im just looking fir a bad ass pigment thanks in advance!!
@WHITLEYAUTOWORKS i used what you use speedokote with medium reducer i did a test spray first i did the front door the hood like i said half the bed and wham i love watching your video so far all 5 Bud
Thank you for all you do, I am learning a lot. I just finished watching your discussion video of Rustoleum vs Auto which I found very informative. As I am researching to paint a motorcycle I am curious if you have tried using clear base such as Speedokote SMR3500 and using pigment to create the base color such as offered by eyecandy example eye candy Yoru Black. My thinking is a cost effective method primer>clear base w/pigment added>clear base with metal flake/pearl pigments>2k clear finish. Your thoughts?
Yes that's a topic I'm gonna get more into but Yes it's best to use a mid coat for the pearls to get a more consistent lay out but as I'm just doing these just for test spray outs I'm trying to keep cost down a little lol thanks for watching!
Hey Bro do me one favor and buy 1 can of 1968 Corvette Bronze. Then spray an orange type pearl over it. I'm really considering painting my c10 this way. Though it would be an outside job and ill have to rent a air compressor.
I painted my truck today with rust oleum gloss black i started to clear it and half the bed and few other places it alligator 🐊 like can you help me thank you in advance
Just curious which clear did you use over the Rustoleum? If it started to wrinkle then more than likely there was something contaminating the surface that you painted over but I would wait and let it cure out good wet sand it with 600 grit clean it really good and dust coat it first coat check for reactions then continue to redo those areas then reclear it let me know how it turns out Thanks for watching

The black is very vibrant.
Perfect for a drift car.
The red is kind of subtle and what I'm looking for for my tool box restoration.
Keep it coming!!
Black always looks good with the color shift.
Definitely a 5 Jonathon. Especially on the black. In the sunlight the red looks good too.
Probably my favorite pairing yet.

Everything over black is a 5, lol, but true! The blues in the pearl really shined on the orange side . It's not for me, so maybe a 4?
Colors turned out real good 5 on both of them another good job

4/5 Great job!
The bkack is a hit! 🔥 the red isn't bad at all, it just muffles the shift a bit. Overall, nice spray out! 🔥

Very cool, can you do a green metal flake over black ???
4. I like the black base. I wonder what this would look like on a dark blue or dark green base
