Very well done. I love your bass tone. When chuck says, "my dreams, my price, my own" after that the bass does lower notes and doesnt play the same thing. It's kind of a descending progression. Then the riff after that, I guess the chorus, I dont think it's all played off the D. I think the bass follows the root notes of the guitar along with the blaze of notes you are doing. I hope you dont mind my criticism because I'm not hatin on it.
No I dont't. To be honest, I'm purely hobbyist in terms of playing bass, and none of my bass covers are exact playthroughs - mainly because I don't have enough spare time (and patience) to dissect each song to a 'subatomic' level. But nonetheless, I'm glad you like my performance in general.
Also, two weeks prior to this video, while preparing lunch I had accidently sliced off almost half of my right thumb fingertip (you can see a bandage on it in the video) and it was still quite painful to play it :D but it healed well in a month
Thanks! I always played it in humbucker mode. Single coil was kind of thin sounding, low otuput and not so articulated, while power-tap was somehow the worst option there. But I no longer have it - I wasn't satisfied with its balance (it had a considerable neck dive) and neck was very sensitive to bending so I had enough of constant readjusting the truss rod and sold it.
Cool version and tone
I'm glad this video has been helpful to you

@@TomMarello that sucks about your finger. But hey, you still played!
Greatly done! At which mode your pickups was?
As I know, that on SR305 there is a Single coil, Humbucker and "PowerTap" mode.
