I made this for our Yule Solstice celebration yesterday. Everyone (most were non vegan) loved it, its so rich in flavour but not heavy. I couldn't find any truffle oil (which surprised me here in France) so I made a substitute using olive oil and dried forest mushrooms, it seemed to work well. So we are off to hunt our newly opened local delicatessen today. Thank you for all your hard work and research In making these recipes, it really is appreciated 😊
So great to see that you make your traditional French recipes in a vegan way, which recognizes the special place that they have in your heart. Giving people an alternative surely must help them decide to go vegan. Great idea.
I am a meat eater, but I strongly believe that animals used for consumption should be treated humanely during their lives and killed quickly, and above all not tortured. Actual foie gras production is hideous (kudos to the late actor Roger Moore and others for exposing it to the public), and I greatly applaud these delicious vegetarian alternatives.
Looks amazing but would be great if you had all ingredients listed in the descriptions. I ended up rewatching with pencil and paper to note down 😂I am going to try that for Xmas! Thanks :)

50 grammes of plant-based butter ( margarin), a pinch of salt, a tablespoon of lemon juice, half a teaspoon of Dijon mustard, a teaspoon of nutritional yeast :)

I just made this - with a few small changes to fit what I had in my kitcen. It was WONDERFUL! Will definetely make this for New Years Eve :-)

So its nothing like Foie Gras....got it. I am sure it tastes good, but just call it mushroom pate' lol
