I'm a Dj and do Mostly Quinceañeras events and i can tell you guys that 80% of the times the Mothers want what they would had wanted for their own Quinceañera, I'm proud of this young lady for sticking to her gut feeling after all is a one time life event and i think is more special when you get to have what you actually want.
How is she being picky? It's her quinceñeara . A day she will remember forever. Your supposed to get the dress you fall in love with ... But I do get that the changes are a struggle they should've looked for the dress before choosing the decor color and everything set

YOu can also have those days when you go shopping. Some days you ove everything and want to try on everything. Other days you're like "nothing fits and it all looks terrible, why bother"

Everyone is saying that she's so picky, and I was going to say the same until I realized I was just like that, if not worse. 😂 I was set on my dress being pink, I didn't want the top to have big jewels/stones at all, I didn't want it to be covered in jewels, the top needed to be embroidery, I didn't want the top to be too busy, I didn't want a train, I didn't want ruffles, I wanted it to be tulle, and it could in no way shape or form be two different colors. It couldn't even be two shades of the same color. So we went to about 5 stores until we gave up and just ordered from a catalogue. 😂

I wanted the same exact thing. I had all the same requirements except for the embroidery. I wanted a veey simple dress because to me less is more.

Well that's how it is. It's her choice not her moms. Same thing what happened when I had my quince. My mom wanted me to get what she wanted but no I didn't like that I wanted what I wanted. It's a form of self expression.

Why is everyone saying it's annoying how picky she is? Like obviously she's going to be picky. It's her dress and she should wear something she likes not something that's she ok with. If she's ok with a dress then she doesn't like it. She has to like her dress because it's her day and she should love what she wearing.

I don't get why people are criticizing lol. Even though I'm not Hispanic, if I were to have a Quinceanera I would also be very picky with my dress. I mean, my parents are going to be spending a lot of money on it and I need it to be perfect. You can't just get a dress that you don't like, or your parents would be wasting their money.

before I went to see my dress for my xv I went online to get an idea of how it to be, so that I won't have to struggle on finding the dress, in my opinion I think that's what she should of done so that she won't be stressing her mom because the xv color's don't mache the dress

This happened to me too. At first I wanted my dress to be royal blue but I didn't find a dress that I had fallen in love with. Then I tried on a Burgundy dress and I couldn't bring myself to say I wanted it in Royal blue. So thank God we didn't buy anything for the party in Royal Blue!!
