It's not a "new" route. SIA used to fly out of BRU in days gone by.
Yup. Back in the early 2000s they flew singapore to Manchester via Brussels.
@@frankiechong3819 Indeed. And in the days of multi-stop flights SIA would operate LHR-BRU-BAH-SIN (before the MAN routing noted above started).
Singapore Airlines restarted this Brussels - Singapore flight last week.
Nice video. I initially planned to have a trip to Brussels just to film the flight experience, but plan changed at last minute. Wonderful footages and appreciate your sharing.
Excellent trip report, really enjoy the first video on this route with SQ. Liked and subscribed. I totally agree with you about the headphones. They have done other things so good, but the headphones are just not on par with the service
5:45, The inflight entertainment map TV and seat is similar and identical to my flight that I flew the Airbus A350-900 on the 5th freedom flight for the 1st time last June from Barcelona to Milan and the flight is good and okay.

thank you ! unfortunately not but it was done in terminal 1 of Zaventem.
Problem with BRU is that two major hubs are close by and linked by high speed trains. Also KL feeds its network at Schiphol with multiple daily flights from BRU.
100 % agree, Amsterdam Paris Orly, and CDG are too close to Brussels, which is probably why these kinds of flights are not able to see that many passengers. I was really surprised that even the business class cabin was barely full, whereas, on flights from Paris for example, SQ easily sells it out.
@@inflighttravel5304 Indeed. BRU must have provided 'help' to SIA so that it could restart its service. But air-rail facilities are provided at Brussels Midi ...I believe you can check-in at the station and take Eurostar (formerly Thalys) direct to AMS or CDG.
There are days the business class from BRU is (nearly) fully booked. You cannot judge based on just one experience.
@@lucvandevelde5471Misunderstanding. What I was trying to say that BRU has been unable to develop the greater number of long-haul routes offered out of AMS and CDG. However where BRU does score with its African services.
@@alexmcwhirter6611 Correct, this has several reasons which would lead us too far. But saying that SQ may be not viable from BRU is a bit premature.
Brussels airport, is more an African hub!!
Low demand? I think you are wrong. The route is new and there is demand. SA is good in estimation of the demand between SG and the guest cities
Thank you for your comment ! I agree with you, however I believe that Brussels is too close to way bigger hubs like Paris cdg or Amsterdam, which is why I believe that in a close future, SQ will either decrease its flights or cancel the route.
We are taking this flight in July as part of travel from London to Melbourne. It was cheaper for us to get the Eurostar to Brussels and fly out that way, than leave via Heathrow or Paris etc…. I think it will be a great alternative to the more expensive and busier hubs that service that area of the world.
I think so too cuz its SIA and many people want to fly SIA and are unable cuz they dont fly to the destination they depart from
What's the registration, Is your flight to Singapore 75% full and did you sleep on the plane, if so, how many hours?

Top Airline, propably worlds best! I only doubt theres enough traffic to generate for SQ beside its competitors to ensure profitability for them. Among with SQ theres another two that I call my together Top 3 Airlines. The conflict is that all of them are Asian, offering tremendeous on departures throughout Europe with great service and brandnew aircraft. However, that special Glamour definetely goes with SQ! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🪄⭐
