“Devi Namaskaraha”- Devi Namana Stotra by Sage Markandeya
It is a profound honor for me to join forces with the maestros, the virtuoso violinist Sri R Kumaresh (Fiddlingmonk) and the esteemed veena exponent Dr. Jayanthi Kumaresh in presenting to you the "Devi Namana Stotram," a segment of Sage Markandeya's "Durga Saptashati."
This collaboration marks a poignant moment of completion for me. Beyond being an ardent admirer of their extraordinary music, I fondly recollect the nerve-wracking and yet exciting moments during my participation in the “Carnatic Music Idol” where Sri Kumaresh played a pivotal role as one of the judges.
Dr. Jayanthi Kumaresh has been and continues to be a monumental wellspring of musical inspiration for me in terms of elegance, composure, and genuine humility. Her grace, both on and off stage, is a testament to her profound artistry. To collaborate with them in such an intimate creative space is nothing short of a dream! Together, they have masterfully composed the evocative background music for this Stotra.
This is a confluence of the verses set in Amritavarshini(A scale) and the melodic soundscape in Vasantha( E scale) expressed through the Veena and the Violin. These verses highlight the omnipresence of the divine mother. While we often attribute qualities like compassion, radiance, and wisdom to the divine, it's crucial to recognize that attributes like power, memory, delusion, anger, and activity, which we experience in our material existence, are also facets of the same divine essence. These verses allude to this profound truth.
These annual Navaratri collaborations wouldn't be possible without the support of our generous patrons and the amazing students and their parents of Tapasya. And of course, a huge shoutout to you, our lovely audience! Show your love by giving us a like, sharing, and hitting that subscribe button on our UA-cam channel! Your support means the world to us!

Combination of instruments
You've beautifully reimagined and co-produced this song that traces its origin to the Rig Veda, and finds its place in scriptures like Devi Mahātmyam. These hymns apparently spontaneously came about from a realized soul, a lady Saint. She artfully encapsulated every facet of human existence and ascribed it to the Mother Goddess, paying homage to the timeless, formless Consciousness that dwells within every manifestation. Your collaboration with the esteemed duo, Violin Maestro Śri Kumaresh and Vainika Smt. Jayanthi, is truly commendable. Om Śri Devyai Namaha!
A novel experience and experiment mingling veeNaa, violin and tavil with a sweet voice to deliver an important part of Devi Mahaathmyam.
Your combined effort is a roaring success!!

Who may be the lucky person owning and living in such a fancy house...a fusion of the old and the modern styles of construction??? 🏠
The sprawling house, the glowing glass room, the intricate staircase leading to this 'seesh mahaal' and the flowery decorations are good enough to distract one's attention from the beautiful rendition. 👍👏🙏
This is surreal!

Sriranjani ji, beautifully performed, and shot! If I may, please pay attention to correct Sanskrit pronunciation. For instance, in Sarvabhūteṣu, (सर्वभूतेषु) it’s षु not शु; In Saṃsthitā (संस्थिता) it’s, thi (थि) and not ti (ति). Though I very much enjoyed the production overall, when in every line these repeated mistakes came about, it was disturbing to listen to. As an extremely talented artist from a legendary musical lineage, it would be great if you could take this feedback positively and learn to correct these typical pronunciation errors in Saṃskṛtam related to, Visargaḥ (विसर्गः) Alpaprāṇa (अल्पप्राण) vs. Mahāprāṇa (महाप्राण) etc. Thank you!
