I really like how RGG took implements from Yakuza 5s chase sequence system with the health bars and the items you can throw at your enemy to really complete the chase sequences in LJ. Really makes them more enjoyable
Thank you, man! I know how much you love the Yakuza and Judgment games so I’m glad that you decided to give my review a chance despite knowing how good the games are already!
I'm not entirely sure where this influx of views are coming from on this video, but thank you all for deciding to stop by the channel! Lost Judgement has one of the best storylines! I’m SUCH a sucker for foreign gang storyline games. This and the Yakuza series are going to have me very busy for quite some time! The amount of game play in the Judgement games …. Definitely worth the money!!!! (Also, my phone keeps auto correcting “judgement” to “justice” so if you see it typed as “Justice” .. please know that I’m not confused. My phone is. Lol. 🥴😬)
It had a very good story but its been overshadowed by the masterpiece story of judgment part 1. Judgment 1 made lost judgment looked very average, i was not completely satisfied due to my expectations sky rocketing after playing the part 1
@@ummehabibaa5880I agree. But to be honest LJ still had a great story. But compare to Judgement, Lost judgement combat is much better. Main problem is the game is too easy especially if you use tiger. Tiger was already extremely strong in Judgement, but for some reason it was made even stronger in LJ. They made crane stronger aswell, which was a good choicd since tiger basically just made crane useless in Judgement. But then for some reason they decided to make tiger even stronger. Amazing game with a great story (cant really compare to Judgement though) ,god tier combat and amazing improvements to annoying parts of Judgement (especially mortal wounds).
The whole Yakuza series from 0 to today, including Lost Judgement is just absurd. The fact it doesn't get more love is an absolute war crime. SO MUCH content - the stories are always good, the combat is fun. It's like Tekken meets GTA, with a lot of Japanese RPG dressing and they put you in this small world that's absurdly packed with dumb stuff to do. Yeah man it doesn't look like RD2 or Witcher - but it's better than both those games. Just is. Way more soul, way more authenticity - it's so dumb we live in this world - these games come out 20 years ago they're past iconic franchises. Now, some eye candy and marketing shoves it off to the side, but this is my favorite franchise in gaming by a long shot. Yakuza 0 is better. This is right up there though.
Bought the last copy of the game they had last year at one of my favorite stores got me into the yakuza series at the beginning of this year 4 5 and 3 need to play the original sometime soon surprised it kept my attention all the way through and a story that's actually relatable at times was great
Absolute banger of a game. I want to give props to the writing team for really knocking it out of the park when fleshing out characters. Got to shout out the main antagonist in particular as he's very well developed. Having played all of the mainline yakuza and judgement games, I've seen afew main antagonists that are just not it. So I'm glad they actually put in enough love in this one. My main issue with the game is really the school stories. Some of the minigames are just terrible and/or too grindy, and too bad they're needed to progress in the story. But all in all, this is a fantastic game and deserves its praise. My goty for sure
Well said on your thoughts, man! I can see where you're coming from with the school stories comment. Some of them felt a little weird like the E-Sports one where you just play VF5 and that's pretty much it haha. I also agree on the antagonist part. I've only played up to Yakuza 3, but I think the antagonist of Lost Judgment was superb. Thank you for your comment and support! I'm glad you enjoyed the game!
This some awesome review! I can’t agree more with everything said in this video, With not many games in 2021 Lost Judgment could’ve really be GOTY. I really hope the Judgments series or even other Yakuza Spin offs still focusing on Beat em up combat never ends.
Thank you for the support! I really hope Judgment continues as well. I genuinely enjoy it more than even the Yakuza games, even more so now that the game is going toward a turn based style which I don't prefer for the Yakuza games. I feel the beat em up fits way better, but I do understand that after decades of the same gameplay format that maybe a change is for the better. All the more reason Judgment should continue so we can have the best of both worlds.
Hey! Awesome review I loved every minute of it. I'm brand new to these types of games! Lost Judgement is the first I'm playing. I've got about 30 hours on the game and I'm upto chapter 5. I really struggle with the combat and that side of the game. Have you got any tips etc for that?
It’s okay to struggle at first so don’t feel bad. When I first play Yakuza 0 I played terribly haha. In the earlier chapters you don’t have access to many upgrades, so at the point you’re at I would recommend utilizing the style switching a lot. Since you can switch styles so quickly it’ll help you get more attacks out this dealing more damage. Focus on getting the three hidden arts for each fighting style upgraded as well since this will make you significantly stronger like I mentioned in the combat section. The other main tip I’ll give you is to know all of your combo options with the styles, and utilize snake’s deflection. What I mean by the combo options is you Square, Square, Triangle / Square, Square, Square, Triangle combos. Once you get comfortable with all of those combo options you can start getting a feel for what can be combined on top of even those. Sorry if this is a little complicated or long, but TLDR, make sure to utilize upgrades, get comfortable with your fighting styles, and have fun!
@@YandereGogeta Thank you for that 😊 I will focus on getting the hidden arts completed, I just purchased any random skill since I had no clue what the all did, I'm starting to get the jist of it. I'm in love with the game atm to be honest. Not usually my cup of tea in game choices but it's super fun.

The robotic club mini-game was so painfully boring for me, but I enjoyed everything else, also the boxing club was so fun, and you forgot to mention the boxing fighting style you win by doing it. Very good video, is nice to see I am not alone in thinking Lost Judgment, at last, deserved a nomination. You deserve more views.
Thanks dude! I’ve heard a lot of people say they didn’t enjoy the robotics club and I completely understand. It can be very grindy and repetitive. Also, If you’re talking about Yagami’s boxing fighting style, that’s a DLC thing that I haven’t purchased yet, but i may do a DLC review considering how much people are liking this video. I hope to see you on future videos!

I haven’t gotten to Yakuza Like a Dragon yet. Perhaps I could make a review of that once I get to it… but nevertheless thank you so much for your comment and support! It means a lot!
From Steam. This game is honestly one of the best with its story, gameplay, music and many other little parts they tried to improve the gameplay experience. The story is great even for a TV drama or movie, digging deep down to real world problems like justice, school bullying, political corruption and more than you could think about human nature. Your video shows all of them. Awesome job man!
This one is a lot easier to get into than the first judgment. If you really wanted to you could skip the first game for now since LJ doesn’t spoil the story of the first iirc, and then go back afterward
I hope they can release the game on PC one way or another. I have a PS5 and I've finished both Judgment remastered and LJ but I don't want the games to stuck on some particular consoles like how MGS4 is locked to PS3 with no other way to play it apart from imperfect emulation.
I keep hearing people say good stuff about amasawa but not quite mentioning what it is. I beat the game like thrice, (only did all school substories twice though) but I still dont get it.
That's a fair criticism! There was actually a lack of long battles compared to the other games in the franchise for sure. At least we got the 100 man conqueror to make it a little less unfortunate
