- French guitarist Roland Dyens performs "June" (Tchaikovsky) and "Valse, op. 69 # 2" (Chopin) while visiting the Acoustic Guitar office in September 2012.
Rest in peace, Maestro Dyens. It was a pleasure to meet you, once, in person, and accompany you to a performance and masterclass. May your recorded performances, and published music, bring beauty to the world for a long time to come.
May the genius, creative writing, musical theory, and ingenuity, like that of which Dyens possessed-- may it continue to inspire and reach discerning ears, hearts, and minds. He was one of my favorite writers of all time. R.I.P. Mr. Dyens. 1955-2016.
Goodbye Roland. : ( We will not forget you.

Just four years before his untimely passing. What a loss.
Hearing June on guitar makes sense to me! It fits so naturally! The harmonics are a great touch. That being said, even though I went into it thinking I'd prefer the season one, I actually prefer the Chopin one. It feels so happy and relaxing, and is just as beautiful on guitar.

Does anyone know the guitar he's playing - is it a Thomas Humphrey Millennium? I see the reverse neck angle. Excellent projection but fairly traditional tone which is nice.
Please...please...please...invest in some better equipment for posting to UA-cam! There is no reason to continue posting at 360p only! At least get us up to 720p.
Great melodies, very well played. The guitar could have been tuned better though........
