Thanks for your awesome insight into San Diego!! Really enjoy your videos and learning all about SD- my wife went to UCSD and I’m completely new to the area.. looking forward to one day showing around my family from Europe, so your videos showcasing neighborhoods, restaurants and experiences is very helpful.. keep the great content coming :)
That's awesome! Glad you find the videos useful! What part of Europe is your family from? I might do a UCSD video sometime this year as well! Thanks for the support.
@@Jaycation Thanks so much for your answer! I'm originally from France and I studied and work in Canada for a couple of years. We've been following Will D. and Erwan Heussaff youtube channels for a couple of years now and it's really cool to watch you guys on youtube! My wife is filipino american and I feel like I have a strong bond with the Philippines, real Pinoy!! A video on UCSD sounds awesome, I am sure this campus as many secrets ehehe
Yo this video was amazing, I actually live in the University Heights area and Ive been living in this area for almost 13 years, and it's really cool to see someone show the highlights of this neighborhood
I never realized San Diego was so big! I’ve been to the down town area a few times, but your videos are giving me some ideas on what to see and do next time I go there... also I love the maps on the screen!
It's smaller compared to LA and SF but if you slow down and recognize the smaller neighborhoods and areas, it feels so much bigger. Thanks, I'm still playing around with the Maps settings to make it even better. Thought its a nice touch!
great video! that part of town sure has changed over the years. we used to think University Heights as being more towards the east end of University avenue, extending east to around 54th street. for more area history, checkout 'The Tower' bar (closed now I think due to Covid) it is on the south side of University avenue just east of Euclid. Also, closeby there, just off of Euclid south of University and just south of the Big City Liquor is a building that used to be the old 'Egyptian garage'. May still have some of the old 'Egyptian' architecture high on the side of the building. (At least it looks like it is still there on google maps) . Both the 'Tower' and the Egyptian garage were build sometime around the 1930's if my memory is correct.
So much unique history in that part of town. Thanks for sharing! I plan to cover all the other spots in the surrounding area such as Normal Heights, Hillcrest, North Park and more. That Egyptian Garage sounds really unique, I have to see it!
Thanks for taking me back HOME SWEET HOME "SD" Iove watchin ur vids, brings a feeling to be home.. Currently on deployment, 5th Fleet Persian Gulf, Jebel Ali 🇺🇸👊🏼
Canada is way better off than we are right now! We'll at least i hope it is.... As for Old Town, I plan to go there within the next couple weeks. Stay tuned! I think places are only open for Take out though unfortunately...

Small Bar is indeed closed. They closed just a week before Thanksgiving. :(
That's really sad to hear... a local i was talking to at the park was really upset that it closed.
Best Thai place is called Plumeria in UH.
