Your First point is incorrect, Scrooge first shows the first sign of change before Fezzwig's party in his school: 'There was a boy singing a Christmas Carol at my door last night. I should liked to have given him something: that's all'
could you also argue that dickens really highlights the importance of fatherhood becasue his own father abandoned him in his childhood becasue he was sent to a debtors prison? this led charles and the rest if his family to have to go to the workhouse so could you argue it is ultimately his father fault that he experienced poverty at a young age ?
This video is great and the ideas are brilliant, however I feel like the person reviewing my essay will not understand or care about how long Bob had to walk or may see it as irrelevant showing how Scrooge wasn’t a miserly boss? Am I being a bit of a silly guy and they will take this into account and possibly research it to see if I’m just waffling or will they save their time and ignore the point? Thank you for the good videos tho I have been watching a lot!
I find it odd that the English education system neglects writers such as Jules Vern who is arguably a more intelligent writer than those included in the current GCSE curriculum, given he heavily influenced the construction of the design and propulsion of submersibles, and calculated the trajectory required for one to get to the moon with minimal mistakes considering the information available at the time.
follow what your name says and revise themes, and of course within themes there are quotes you should know and be able to analyse in detail while providing more than one point of view. Mr Salles did say out of the 2 questions you're given in the exam, choose the theme one as it's easier to be exploratory and critical
Definitely revise themes - make sure you've got a good selection of quotes too - I'd say those are the most important factors to prioritise. Good luck and try not to panic, you'll do fine.
Hi PLEASE can you do a video about Love and Relationships Poetry and how to structure the essay because that is my weakest part and I'm panicking there's nothing online to help revise!
I'm not really sure what you meant about ignorance being the most dangerous? You kinda put the idea in there, but I'm not sure I picked up on the point - especially as the context you mentioned was after the book was released?
It says, "But most of all beware this boy, for on his brow, I see that written which is doom." remember the boy represents ignorance so ignorance of the working class = doom(revolution)
