The filming is absolutely brilliant, in particular the flight through the keep, which shows off its height and presence. This demands repeated viewings.
TRIVIA ALERT! Also known as 'Corfe Gate' in the alternate history novel Pavane, by Keith Roberts. As such, a semaphore tower would have crowned one of the towers, a signalman at the controls, clanking out a message to the next semaphore in line. This is where the aristocratic niece of Jesse Strange - a steam engine haulier from the first 'measure' - revolted against the Church of Rome. It's very strange reading that novel, being set in an alternate 1968 Dorset (Durnovaria), then discovering an actual annual Steam Fair is held in Swanage and Castle grounds! I'm surprised they don't have a steampunk style convention dedicated to the book. Steam was the most powerful technology, other discoveries being restricted by Papal Bulls.
You first flew under Weymouth Town Bridge, then through the ramparts of Sandsfoot Castle, then yesterday we took a nose dive through Old Harry's Rock cavern, and now you take us through Corfe Castle. I am tempted to close our windows for fear you might push your luck and see what our house looks like from the inside, ha ha. For heavens sake, remember Norway.

amazingly smooth footage , great job!! i shot some footage here a couple of years ago with a phantom 2 , not in this league though, truly stunning mate it does gets windy up there no :) subbed
Wonderful filming. Bet you had to get up early before the National trust wardens were around lol! Actually they should have paid you for this , it’s better than their presentation at the visitor centre .
Great film did same flight this year got read the riot act by somebody in the cafe car park . Isnt it funny that 8 people have been killed by disability scooters and none from drones but every one freaks out about drones . Ruined our hobby . Again brilliant film great piloting 👏👏👏👏
Because disability scooters are necessary, but drones are noisy and annoying, destroyed the ambience and tranquility of the place (well, more than annoying people chattering and screaming). Don't get me wrong, drone shoots are awesome. I like drones, but they need to be used in a considerate way, which most are not.
