What free software or web app do you use to edit your images? Thanks for watching :)
I use a combination of photoscapex, gimp, irfanview, and paint 3D. depends on what I'm doing.
I use GIMP and Paint.
GIMP ftw 😊
honorable mentions: Photoline, Xara photo and graphic designer, and just for laughs Picasa. After Google made Picasa into graveware it improved. No more intrusive photo syncing.
I use snapseed and GIMP. Android phone and Linux Computer. I have a Canon M6II camera and a Motorola One 5g UW phone with a decent camera on it.
Yup it's time to put Photoshop in the bin. Did enjoy the fact an Adobe ad played half way through the video.
Photopea and Krita are the best alternatives to Photoshop. And that's because they take a lot of functionalities and inspiration from Photoshop. I am planning to switch to Linux alternatives so as to escape from Windows. It is a hard and long journey.
Thanks for looking out for us poor folks.
I like Corel's Paint Shop Pro.
Thank you!
Well presented, thank you!
I’m a photoshop professional and I loaded it up this week to find it flickering and lagging like hell. I’m really pissed off. I’ve been a subscriber for many years. I’ve done all the tutorials to fix the problem but to no avail. It’s a dreadful, dreadful program and needs to be put to bed.
Anyway, the only way I was able to fix it was by switching everything off. I have a superfast Computer all solid state. What’s the point if it can’t run the programmes? I don’t think they think these things through very well they really don’t care about the user.
Especially when you have deadlines to meet you spend most of the day trying to solve their crap that wasn’t there before!
Thanks as always.
Well done - I’m a GIMP fan and always will be.
Agreed. Gimp comes closest to Photoshop in feel and ease, and I have yet to find anything that I could do in PS that I can't do in GIMP
@@jdwalz generative ai
@@bhabhutiji1169I just create a new adobe firefly account every time I do that💀
yeh gimp rocks, the interface isn´t randomly scattered accros the screen like the early versions.
Best video on UA-cam! 👍
PhotoFiltre 6.5.3
Darktable and Rawtherapee would be in the list
I think its more like Adobe Lightroom
GIMP is the best of all
Who is better?
Pixlr or Krita
Bugger photoshop. I'm still using Paintshop pro 7
Me too!
@@occamsrayzor that makes 2 of us haha. such a great program and still works under windows 10. only downside is the newer formats but thats when i see what Brettintech has to offer for free up to date alternatives.
I always preferred PSP to Photoshop. PS is a lot more complicated to use. Sure, it has great things it can do, but most of it is hard to figure out, and that's IF you know the features even exist.
@@ooklathemok Well, I still use Windows 7, which in my opinion is the last decent OS Microsoft produced. As a retired IT guy, I saw too many good PCs turned into sluggish piles of crap by Windows 10, and I can't afford to upgrade my hardware, anyway. I do actually also have Photoshop CS6 - once again, not requiring a subscription, because I own it it. I know I'm old, but I'm not stupid, and I refuse to shell out good money for something I can never own.
Just found this video and will have to watch again soon but I’m just making some Yugioh videos for fun on my channel and looking for free software to make thumbnails. Of these programs, which is the easiest to use? I don’t really have an interest in making anything too flashy atm but definitely need something better than copy paste google images. Sorry if you answered in the video as I haven’t watched just yet!
at least for me, Photopea
I use Krita.
paint 2:44 ,krita 3:50
Photoshop is a unique beast in this world. One of a kind and there is nothing like it. There are many programs that can do some of what it does though.
Rentware will end personal computer usage.
The world is moving towards rental and subscriptions for everything that anyone is selling. Every company is looking to get that easy money with no additional work with a subscription. It's a lot more scary than just what's happening with personal computer usage and software.
The SaaS model does have the benefit of enabling better quality software. Though I question if the amount they put back into the software vs what's withdrawn as profits and dividends justifies the higher cost. Also SaaS drives more interest toward the development of open source projects.
@@bsmithril The notion that the SaaS model enables better quality software is just speculation. It also ignores what we know about human nature. If payment comes before service, then there is less incentive to deliver quality service. Ironically, I just posted a bug related to Photoshop. And I made a comment that in recent years I spend sooo much time posting about bugs. In the decades I've used Adobe software I was practically never able to find a bug. But now, I find bugs within seconds of installing a new Adobe update. Photoshop, Illustrator, Bridge. There are so many bugs now that I only bother report the ones that are really troubling to my workflows. The ones I can live with, I don't spend time reporting. In the case of Adobe, much poorer quality software coincided with the subscription model and that aligns perfectly with human nature.
I've used Photopea b4 and was able to change the color of my text but now it's only available in Black ? HELP
Brett, Photoscape X crashes every time I load a folder with large number of Photos. But works for few photos. Not useful for me though.
Adobe Photoshop is loaded with nag screens and bloatware it's insanely overpriced.
I wish it wasn’t, but o can’t think of anything that works like I want photoshop to work, and it just works.
Any suggestions for a good product replacement?
First
as some1 who used photoshop for long time, Gimp is way to damn complicated!!! cant even find out simple tools!!! bruh
I tried following a couple of GIMP (for Windows) tutorials on how to remove the background from an image….and the results were utter failure. I don’t know if it’s because I should’ve enabled some setting, option or tool beforehand, but the background was never removed no matter the method used….which is further (unneeded) proof of the factual truth **GIMP a Photoshop alternative…my butt.**
have you tried paint net , krita , photopea
😢
