I played in VR, I can definitely see why you would think that Flat mode is better for 2. A lot of the minigames don't work very well, bowling is extremely difficult, the matching game is pretty buggy and doesn't register your inputs and the infirmary one had issues on all editions, I didn't have the problem of the remote disappearing on the Oculus store version but tasks not completing when an ad plays softlocking you, effectively making it near impossible unless you wait for an ad to play before doing a task. Overall the original and its DLC for many reasons was better, bugs being one of them.
