Hi, It's will work perfect on your bike, no worries. Since the time I installed it I have had no issues. Just make sure if you cold start kick start the bike especially in the mornings. That wouldn't put much pressure on the battery. There won't be any electrical issues thought it's not the 14amps. Go for it🙌

But there is 14ah dry battery available in the market now. Install that which has same specs but the dry version. You are sorted. For best advice you can definitely talk to your mechanic.

My question is if I want to install chrome retro looks halogen fog lights...Will the battery support? Please reply... Fog lights are important and I don't like led ones.
Bro my advice is talk to your mechanic on the mods that you wanna do. You have already made a couple of mods that wld anyway consume some juice on your battery. And the halogen fog lamps are definitely more power consuming than the leds. If you are doing it make sure you take direct power from the battery or from the ignition out so that your wiring doesn't get busted.

With consultation with my mechanic, you can replace with a dry battery but the battery carrier needs to be replaced as the dry battery's size is different from the stock liquid acid battery. You either need to alter the existing carrier or replace with a new one.
Firstly thank you for watching🙂.Exide Xplore XLTZ9 is 8ah capacity battery. A 8ah in place of a 14ah would not hamper the performance and functionality of the bike. Just that a 14ah battery can crank the bike on a cold start more number of times than a 8ah. I usually use the kick to cold start the bike so it is not a major concern on my bike. And I went in for this upgrade after consulting my mechanic who does all the maintenance on my bike from past 4 n half yrs. Also, the newer models of Royal Enfields come with Amaron ap-btz9r from the factory which is 8ah.
Oh you asked about Charge and not time taken to change. Sry about my oversight. Please check with a battery shop nearby. Should take an overnight charge.
Well you just need to disconnect the terminals buddy, doesn't matter if it's negative first or positive first. Either ways the circuit is broken. Secondly, even dry batteries will have electrolytes inside, placing it side ways will not be ideal as the terminals might get dry inside and cause damage to the battery. Batteries need to be placed the way they are designed to be placed, physics matters.

Bro the dimension is different from the old stock battery. Because this is dry battery. I did this upgrade with consultation of my mechanic who is one of the very experienced bullet mechanic in South Bangalore. Also, this is the same specs battery that comes with new Royal Enfield bikes.
It wasn't available in the market back then. Now it is but it is and the same size of the old liquid battery, but it costs more than the 9ah battery plus the cover.

Buddy, you can find this cover in RE service centres, it is the bs6 classic's cover.

This battery bursted for me after usage of 3yrs, still 1yr left in warranty but explosion is not covered in warranty

Sir ,the side box would cost u arnd 700 rs ,then y u dont go for 14 ah battery ,it will cost u arnd rs 2600.
The box costed me 500. And I did not want to go for the liquid battery which is 14ah mainly because of leakage n rusting issues.
