They did the Broadway choreography!!! Very clever little tweaks to accommodate the young cast! The lead young man was wonderful. His movements always full out with such energy. The chorus sounded great all while moving and jumping in this wonderful dance. Is this what high school productions are today? Wow
how on earth are you able to pull off the Broadway dance moves at high school age?

This is 2023 here and I just found this gem of a video...but....I refuse to believe its a High School production..seriously its right up there with the broadway one!! These students are amaaaaazing..I mean the acting, singing and dancing..OMG..just incredible. I hope they all get to work in the entertainment industry cause they sure are talented..special mention of course to the lead..just loved, loved, loved the whole production...the parents must be so damn proud!!!

The lead, Sean McManus, graduated from BOCO, toured with CATS, then was cast in the Broadway Beetlejuice. He is currently in the Beetlejuice tour.
Legitimately, one of the most impressive, professional high school numbers I've seen performed. Great job!
The difference between this high school and other high schools that performed this musical is that this group of performers believed beyond a shadow of a doubt that they were great, and other schools tried to be great. The energy that these performers gave to the audience was beyond measure, and the audience, in turn, gave it right back.

Great job to everyone on stage! The dedication to the performance and the clean vocals while dancing does not sound shaky. Vocal control spot on! When I was in HS, this number would only have about 5 guys on stage. Nice to see young men performing on stage in a HS level and doing well. Congrats!
Amazing heart and energy, talent and professionalism. Watch the faces, these kids are not only singing and dancing, they are acting! And they're just as good at that as at the other two.
Well, that was spectacular! I've read comments on this video stating how great this was "for a high school". I've seen this show done in professional regional theatre. This number takes second place to NO ONE! Well done, Summit HS!

The lead is incredible talent.. 😍😍😍 best singer, best dancer, best energy.
This is not a typical high school production. I just compared this version of the number to the Broadway cast and I have to tell you that this version is JUST as effective. The young man who plays the lead is, I hope, getting ready to star in a production of DEAR EVAN HANSEN. The dancing throughout is totally tight, athletic, and charismatic. The choreographer wisely used some ideas from the original choreography and then added her/his own.

I am impressed these high school performers were able to recreate the choreography that was used in the Revival with Daniel Radcliffe. This was a high school in New Jersey.

I used to compete in National Speech and Debate Honor Society competitions around the state of NJ with the lead, he is extremely talented! Summit is known for extremely talented theatre people (aka Meryl Streep, but she did not attend Summit HS).

I've seen the movie numerous times and clips from the revivals on Broadway. A little of Bob Fosse's choreography is an much from the revival starring Daniel Radcliffe. It's easy to forget that these are high schools. And the young lady who has the solo by Miss Jones holds her own.

I was totally blown away...I have seen just about any Broadway show in the last 40 years...in fact, I thought this was a Broadway show done somewhere.......I am totally awed by this magnificent piece ...obviously I am totally lost for words at the moment.

I looked up the lead and he actually accepted his first gig on Broadway a couple days ago (he'd been doing a regional tour of Cats earlier this year but now he'll be doing Beetlejuice in the ensemble on the Great White Way!)
I was part of this production as the the chairman of the board, and our choreographer was phenomenal. SHS was such an amazing time for me. Im so happy that so many people loved the performance even years after it happened!
I've seen this show live professionally done and I think this is the finest performance of Brotherhood of Man I've ever seen. Bravo!
