  • Even though this is a very weird time signature it still feels somewhat doable. I know it can be tricky to figure out but don't be afraid to rewind if you don't make it on the first try, I do that all the time when I listen to weird music. The answer is further down here in the description. Best of luck!

I counted 19 , and thought i got it wrong ..thought it must be a 10/8 or a 9/8 ..crazy timing

Easily your sneakiest one yet! I've definitely performed songs written as 4/4 with larger deviations than this, very neat to hear.

Really cool that you heard it that way! And thank you for your comment! :D

I hear 11/8 but also 8/8, but I don’t get how this additive thing works. Time to learn that.

I'm totally mystified almost every time ... but I still love 'em!

This one really stumped me, very hard to hear it as it just sounds like 4/4 with some micro shifts to the rhythms. Had to listen to it at half speed to get it. Really fun one to listen to and ultra creative!

Cheers mate! It's really cool that you got it!! I have no idea why it's so close to 4/4 but I feel it that way too. Especially the longer signatures in faster tempos (17/16, 13/8 etc.) always ends up approximating some weird 4/4. It's like the brain is giving up and just doing a polyrhytmical 4 over x which makes it easier to comprehend.

@@JakeBorg It makes for a really unique groove! A full song written in a 19/16 quasi 4/4 could have some interesting possiblities

    9/8 ?
    Edit: WHYYY!!!!!! I CANT DO /16 :((((
Edit 2: 9/8 = 18/16 so i'm ALMOST CORRECT and when i count with the eighths, i just realized that that there is like an extra beat which is the last sixteenth

Jag hörde en hackig 4/4 😅 Men fattar att det inte var det. Svårt att räkna 16-delarna.
