Awesome video! Seriously considering this cruise. How much in round numbers should I expect to pay to basically copycat your entire journey as depicted above here?
No better way to start a Saturday than watching a 20 minute video on the Nile River. Another fantastic video that is beautifully shot and edited. Keep up the amazing work!
Beautiful video. I was in Cairo and other places in Egypt in 1991. It is striking how what I saw in your video was so similar after millions of footsteps walked in that area.
Thankyou both so much for another stunning video 🤩 As ever, the quality of your content is superb, and this video effortlessly drew us into Egypt with you. Stunning videography and excellent information - a fantastic watch 😃
Great watching your video. We were there in 2012 I think it was, right at the beginning of the “troubles”. We could hear gun fire at night from the hotel in Cario but, because of the uprising and it being in February, there was no one visiting. At the light show at the pyramids, there were 6 people. That’s it, 6, it holds around 2000. At the pyramids themselves not a soul in our photos. We had 4 couples on our ship, Sunboat IV. We did have armed security with us everywhere and a 50cal machine gun at the back of the boat for the whole cruise, kind of interesting. Overall though, one of the most amazing trips we have ever been on, so thanks for the vid, brought back some fantastic memories.
Did this cruise like 10 years ago - spent a week in Cairo and took the overnight train to Luxor -- (very bumpy ride). Thanks for taking me down memory lane.
Great videos...Brought back a lot of memories from my Azamara cruise in the fall of 2018. At the time I was ale to visit the temple of Karnak and the valley of the kings. I have not cruised since due to the pandemic but I will next February (Hawaii and French Polynesia). Looking forward to your next chapter.
Thanks for watching 😊 Hopefully part two will be out before the end of the year - please make sure you’re subscribed and have notifications on so you see when it’s released 👍 Happy cruising 🛳❤️
Really informative and interesting 🙏. We did a night time pyramid light show which was spectacular. Look forward to watching your cruise experience. OTBC 🫣
Another great video. Very tempted by some very cheap deals for Nile cruises ( with hotel stays) around at moment. Feel there has to be a catch and always worried about getting a stomach bugs.
Hello! Thank you for your helpful video! We are planning a to trip to Egypt his June and would like to do a Nile Cruise. However, the amount of ships and companies is making this daunting! How did you decide on which cruise to take? Do you know if there are any ones that I should stay away from? Thank you in advance for any help you can give me! Ron
We sailed with Uniworld but it will depend on what you want. We enjoyed the land sections of our cruise so that was a deciding factor too. As long as you stick to one of the well known cruise lines and they offer everything you want to do then you should be ok 👍
Wow! Just WOW! Better words of appreciation will come to me later, probably at 2am in the liminal space my soul travels upon desires winds. But in this moment I feel stunned by such handsome, fierce beauty.
Incredible video as always. How did you feel safety wise? I took all this off my bucket list when there were terrorist incidents against tourists in Egypt. I have known people who have gone and they mentioned being accompanied by private security to the sites (armed). What was your experience. I have always wanted to go down the Nile.
Ever since watching the great movie Death on the Nile with Peter Ustinov, David Niven & Maggie Smith (the better movie), I’ve wanted to cruise the Nile (without a murder of course).
😂😂😂 Hope you get to do it one day 🤞 Please make sure you’re subscribed and have notifications turned on - part two I’ll be out soon. Thanks for watching 👍
Really beautiful filming! I will say though, almost all of your information on Hatshepsut was incorrect according to most egyptologists. There are a least a handful more female Pharaohs (one of whom was very likely Nefertiti) and Hatshepsut was not trying to convince anyone she was a man, wearing a false beard was a sign of the position of pharaoh. And while you say peace and prosperity, I know you’re likely saying that in regards to the people of Egypt, but it was a misogynistic view for quite some time that she had never led a military campaign because she was a woman (which is simply not true, she did, quite successfully). Anyways, I loved the video just wanted to let you know!
Thank you for the clarification. There was so much information to digest during this incredible trip, it was always going to be likely that we’d get some of it wrong. Although I will stand my ground a little and say that the Hapshepsut narrative was paraphrased from our excellent and knowledgable guide, and not being an expert, may have got some of the detail wrong ‘lost in translation’ so to speak. 🙂
Mon Dieu, that awful full view of Cairo, no greenery and the pollution, disgusting. I have no yearning to go there. So thank you anyway. We sailed on the River Beatrice by Uniworld and they are indeed a fabulous experience.
Mon dieu indeed. The Nile cruise was wonderful though and visiting the pyramids and the Sphinx was pretty awesome. We love Uniworld too ❤️ Thanks for the watching 👍

@@visitwithus do you think that Obelisk could be done today?
Did this cruise like 10 years ago - spent a week in Cairo and took the overnight train to Luxor -- (very bumpy ride). Thanks for taking me down memory lane.
Sounds great, although I think I'd struggle with a full week in Cairo! 😂
Beautiful! As usual, your photography is breathtaking. This is a must-do trip for me. Thank you for sharing this!
Thank you for your lovely words Amy. Part 2 of this series coming soon which will be completely different to this part. Stay tuned! :D
We recently booked our Egyptian River cruise for next year. The video is fascinating.

Cheers bud. Part two will be worth waiting for, unlike our current performance on the pitch! OTBC!
Such an inspiring country
It's history is utterly inspiring but the current economy, not so much I'm afraid. :(
Omg! We were on the Sphinx, it was amazing! We did Abu Simbel, it was amazing.
Well, you're going to LOVe the next part, which is all about the Sphinx cruise. We hope you subscribe. :)
Another great video. Very tempted by some very cheap deals for Nile cruises ( with hotel stays) around at moment. Feel there has to be a catch and always worried about getting a stomach bugs.
Cheers! Egypt is not the easiest or safest place to visit these days. My advice - plan carefully. :)
I'm planning on going on a Nile cruise with my daughter as a high school graduation
What a great way to celebrate 😊
Thanks for watching 👍

Yes Tim, part 2 is the cruise experience itself, without the excursions. It'll be out in a couple of weeks. :)

Hi Todd. Thanks for your feedback and questions about safety. I’ll be covering all that in the next part. 🙂 Stay tuned!

So none of the excursions are included? Or was Abu Simbel just extra?
All the excursion on this video are included except Abu Simbel. That's what makes this cruise so interesting. :)
