I mean rhythm heaven is fairly easy for a rhythm game series. If you took someone from a much harder rhythm game they could probably do this with ease.

@@jakalder likely not until they practice with the core game mechanics first. Rhythm heaven is way different from games like osu or ddr(or games like it).

this ones a LITTLE too heavy on the inputs to fully enjoy the rhythm, but the vision is there

@@onyxpectedmarching orders has a pretty funny thing you can do if you add a offbeat force marching block inbetween marching
This feels playable except for the overlap with the "ok its on" and the regular cues that occur sometimes which would make it literally impossible lol.
It is possible if you time your B inputs slightly after your A inputs.
The cheer-reader you play as is just like " What the fuck is happening, this wasn’t in the recital "

Ive thought about something like this for years. The top left reader must have the hardest time of anyone in the squad
this kind of kicks ass actually? i've always held the assumption that rhythm heaven just inherently doesn't synergise with deranged near-impossible custom charts the way other rhythm games do, but this is pulled off so well that it's making me wonder how else the engine could be pushed. a couple of the okay it's on cues seem impossible because of how they overlap with other inputs but for the most part this sticks incredibly well to the brutal-but-fair kind of design seen in rhythm heaven proper which is pretty cool. i dunno if you have any plans to make something similar with a different minigame but whether it's from you or someone else i'd love to see more fucked up and evil rhythm heaven custom remixes like this one
yea looking back at this i should have removed those unfair okay it's on inputs. it is technically possible by staggering the a and b button but it renders the chart impossible to perfect since one of them will be an okay input
I think we'll see more stuff as the rh community grows and with studio getting a full release. I think due to the nature of rhythm heaven, fast inputs aren't going to really be the focus in the long-term (and by fast I mean clone hero or etterna fast, like 13 inputs per second kinda stuff), moreso gimmicks like in this that are designed to throw you off and make it hard to read.

Really interesting to see how the Rhythm Heaven “you’re the last in the line” setup that’s used to set up the player to pick up cues is really turned on its head here by virtue of having twice the cues to follow (both from the rows and columns). You’re made into the cornerstone of the rhythm rather than just another member and it’s super cool!!
It's actually 3 different rhythms: columns, rows and diagonals.
@@Thenonymous1 Is diagonal its own unique line? It seemed to me like that was just horizontals and verticals interacting strangely, but also I’ve never played Rhythm Heaven so I don’t know what it normally looks like lol
In both the base game and this iteration, you can see a pattern start from the top left and move to your character in the bottom right in a wave. Not a perfect diagonal since it's a 3x4, but still

1,2,3 = top to bottom
It's up to you = left to right
Ra ra sis boom ba boom = slow diagonal wave
Let's go read a bunch of books = fast diagonal wave
OK it's on = opening the books
And that's the only ways the books can move although the overlap in this does make that a bit confusing
Still I think it's an entertaining and chaotic mix up
The kitties fish cue confused me at first, because in this game you're usually the last to do something, or do it in sync with the others. But there you actually have to grab it first.
Idk why but the idea of ‘kaizo’ rhythm heaven games is absolutely hysterical to me.

As a random passerby who's never played a rhythm heaven game, I am confused as to why this was so strongly pushed in my recommendations, and mildly charmed by the visual style
I've played so much Cheer Readers that I can follow along just fine, but I'm not proud of that.
When the Cheer Readers go so hard they scare everyone out of the freaking library.

ive seen a few comments talking about how the "OK its on" cues overlapping with other cues makes it impossible but i just imagined it as a "fake cue" trying to throw you off because theyre on the same beat and it would make sense that holding A and B would also count as a press for the overlapping cue (i haven't actually played fever though i might be wrong about how the cues work)
This genuinely bangs, like rhythm game aside, this is just a killer track. I’m mesmerized

@@imstupid880Yeah, it's pretty catchy. The song is Cheer Readers 2 from Rhythm Heaven Fever, though for some reason, the VISUALS are of Cheer Readers (as in the one that ISN'T a sequel).

i thought 1:01 was a mistake, but after watching it for like the 4th time it's actually what you're supposed to do.
I'm not sure if I should be proud that I can actually follow this and be mesmerized by it. It's well done.

I love this. I need to downlaod this right now. Oh my god. You are like "this is terrible, dont play" but its because its this kind of diffiIculty that i WANT to play it. Other people make "hard" levels by making the BPM ridiculously high, but this is the kind of challange i like, overlapping cues, keeping time with multiple things at once. Please make more!😊
