Was wondering where you were, and it turns out you’re leaving the YT life. I just wanted to say I enjoyed your content for the last few years and I’d like to thank you! I thought something happened to you with this pause. I’m glad that’s not the case. Enjoy doing whatever you’re moving into! You deserve it 1000x.
Well Brian, for your Trash Can build, might I suggest using the Steam OS for it? ETA Prime has plenty of videos on where to get it and how to install it. It works well with AMD hardware without issues, and performs pretty good using lower end hardware. Plus there is the ability to run emulators as well. You could go for the 7800(X or non-X), and run it in Eco-mode, making it easier to cool. Now I'm not sure exactly how much room you have in there for a cooling solution, but if you're not going to use an AMD box cooler, Gamers Nexus just reviewed an interesting low-pro, dual 120mm fan cooler that just might fir in there, and keep things nice and cool, as well as quiet. Like you, I'm not really in to the SFF cases either. That's more Optimum Tech's forte! I prefer absurdly large cases myself! My main rig is in the Thermaltake Core X-9, and my shop rig is the Corsair Air 540. Really want to get my hands on the Thermaltake Core WP200. Hope you have a great day, Sir! And God Bless! o7
I think both are great, I've wanted to play around with 3d printing a case and making something unique. I think the POC is more accessible and easier entry. I'm not a big fan of the aesthetic of the trash can case, but that's purely subjective, I'm sure a lot of things I like look terrible to other people and that's completely ok. Looking forward to the next one.
Back from DC, and catching up with the content. I guess I am not alone with being more interested in the trash can-seque case. I do like exotic builds: rims, shoes, cars, trash cans…
Why not both? If possible. You can use it as a comparison. Would we choose a custom build and sacrifice performance or sacrifice individuality for performance.
I built a PC that looks like the trashcan MacPro using the magic Pi Mini ITC case. I was able to fit a SFF power supply and a single slot GPU. I used the ARC A310 and a i7 12700K. My thermals are good. I used 2 noctua 120mm fans top and bottom with a thermal grizzly contact plate and noctua L91-17 to keep the processor cool. I can’t game on it the ARC A310 is loud when it gets above 70c.
The POC looks fun. Really glad In Win experiments with new and different approaches like this, including shipping with a flat pack design. Teenage Engineering has a similar case but it wasn't in stock last time I checked (Edit: Oh, it's back in stock 🤔 is a more expensive case at $195-$250, though, and has more limited GPU support size) I like that 3D printed trashcan Mac-style case, though I don't think the shape/size lends itself to efficiently fitting and cooling PC components (even compared to other SFF - there's a reason Apple didn't stick with that case design). But I'd prefer to see you build with that since it looks more challenging and since there likely will be other channels covering the POC.
I mean, I would watch both videos. But if I were going to choose... I would choose the trashcan. It is a more interesting build and the weakness Apple had with that design was thermals. Even with all the low-powered parts you are using it would be interesting to see if you could make it work without horrific thermals. Having said that, your original InWin visit at CES was definitely interesting and although the POC will result in a more conventional PC, I would like to see it built in.
I really want to see a unique build rather than a powerful one, we get those all the time. I feel like you may even be able to shove something like a 6500xt lp in there or one of those quadro a2000 cards.
It's an interesting concept, but looks real flimsy. What happens if you bend a piece the wrong way and then try to bend it back, will it just snap off? I like the trash can idea, will it fit an RTX A2000?
I’m not familiar but I’m not surprised there’s content on it already. It’s pretty cool. I credited the designer in the vid description, not trying to pretend like I modeled the whole thing myself
@@BPSCustoms I was not accusing you☺. In fact, I watched his video a few days ago and thought that it missed a graphic card and some options... I'm glad you'll (hopefully) put your twist on his design
That Hyte hoodie looking fly my guy - really love that 3d printed case, I always kind of wanted one of those Mac Pros because of how cool they looked so it's really interesting to see that someone modeled one that literally anyone can make with a 3dprinter
InWin POC Vs DIY Trash Can Case or something more descriptive/revealing included in the title might make it more clickable ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Why I’m offering this unsolicited title advice is because if it would’ve been clearer what I could expect from it I would’ve clicked not for the InWin name but for the content in and of itself. As the diy content part turned out was what I found more interesting..however on second thought..I just realized that my preference for something very likely is shitty frickin’ gauge of what other humans like, think, feel about that particular something 🤔. Sorry m8 🥴. Cool case idea with the trash can..case, in..hmm😳..any case 😆. Pun unintended. Good lawd I’m dumb sometimes. ✌️🙏🖖
While I love the look of the POC (Piece of Crap😅😂🤣) ….. I’m saying build in the Mac Trashcan 🗑 as it’s different …… we’ve all seen an overpowered build before……. Boring🥱🥱🥱😵💫😵

Definitely want to see the InWin build. But the trash can has so much customizing potential!
I'm more interested in the Trash can. It's so much more Custom
3D printing cases. What a time to be alive.

I've never cared for itx, because there are usually too many compromises. However I love that PC Builders have so many options.

Definitely want to see a build in the trash can!
As someone who got into 3D printing a few years ago and have really been enjoying it, I have to go with the trash can build.
I mean, I would watch both videos. But if I were going to choose... I would choose the trashcan. It is a more interesting build and the weakness Apple had with that design was thermals. Blursed trash can. I actually dig it.
Trash Can design is more appealing to me. Yes, the POC is unique, but not as much compared to other ITX cases.
The trash can is the way to go, because at the end of the day the Inwin is just a regular case

OK the trash can was ONLY 10 years ago? Holy crap!
I prefer Trash Can. But I would do up-sizing, make it bigger, so regular components can be used.
All I can think while watching this video is how much I want to go play with my 1/10 RC Crawler.... ;)

@@BPSCustoms I do have a camera strapped to my crawler, lol
3:33 this songs intro reminds me of bloons td battles
Why not both???
Why not both, but if I had to chose I would like to see how the trash can turns out.
Trash can, for sure! Good luck 👍🏻
Why not both?
That's the model from the guy at Crosslink! He did 2 streams on youtube about it. 😀

i prefer the trash can... it's so unique
The trash can is cool I’m down for custom builds and the uniqueness . The poc is very cool as well but I’m not a huge inwin
I would like to see the Oscar the Grouch case

Let’s test your theory.
Trash can build 🙏
um...can you do both please? 😅
neat
#YesWeTrashCan Love the trash can, needs a2000
Definitely trash can!
The POC looks pretty cool. The trash can looks better.
Trash can for me too please
Hear me out.
Customisable P0C case that can have aftermarket parts made by 3d printing and CNC machining
Check out Circle Studio's "Space Case". It's an open design, so you could do just that.
The POC is UGLY. I vote for the BPS MacPro
I'd go for the POC. Apple trash can stuff belongs there - in a trash can.
Obviously, the trash can is cooler. But, to be fair, that Inwin case is ugly.
