One thing my Daddy told me when I was fresh in recovery was, "Baby, you had no problem being selfish for all the wrong reasons when you were out there doing whatever it was you were doing, so how bout trying to be selfish for all the right reasons now." 😭 He was my best friend, and always loved me no matter what. He even loved me enough to stop enabling me, and allowed me to hit rock freaking bottom. He passed unexpectedly while on vacation a few years back, and there's not a day I don't miss him. ❤
@@itzAurora_Xoxo thank you! It's one of my top 5 favorite things he ever said to me. He was so wise and so loving. He had a way of saying or explaining things in a way that always made me think, or reach & teach me when no one else ever could. Thank you for your kind words. 🩷
I can honestly say you have touched me in ways nobody else has been able to and im a male. Im in current addiction and my life is terrible. But seeing you loving life and knowing you once were in my shoes gives me lots of hope. From the bottom of my heart, thank you and i appreciate you.
i was on opiates of one kind or another from 6 till 36. (my dad was addicted to pain pills and started drugging me very young). 30 years of straight addiction. I never thought i’d ever find recovery. I now have 4 yrs. I promise you that there’s hope for even the most difficult or complex situations! And i personally believe although some basic principles of recovery have to be done for success, i also believe every single person will find the best solution/treatment for them. It’s not a one size fits all. Addiction itself isn’t one size fits all so why would recovery options. Whatever it takes to save ur life do it and do not listen to anyone who knocks your path if it’s working for you! Hang in there man! i know all to well how hard it is. ❤️🩹
Give sobriety a chance. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Life is so much better on the other side. Also once you do you will be surprised how different your life can look in just 6 months. You can do it!
i feel a strong sense of comfort watching your videos. you're not like most youtubers. you are so genuine and so sweet and knowledgable. you make my day just by uploading. i am so glad i came across your videos. you are such an inspiration!
I have never had problems with drug addiction myself, but I saw it in my parents. I wanted to touch on your "reaching out to people" idea. I've been having very serious, intrusive thoughts lately. I've finally started opening up when I'm really struggling, and it helps. We don't need to go at this alone. You are so strong, your videos are wonderful. Thank you for coming on and sharing your story.
I’m with you. It’s so hard to open up and swallow your pride when feeling that way. But I’m trying little by little. Wishing you the best, internet stranger. 💜
Your videos are such a comfort to me. It sounds silly, but they really feel like hearing from a friend and that’s hard to pull off. You’re the real deal in a sea of fake and that kind of authenticity is hard to find on social media!
Hi Tina! I just wanted to thank you for continuing to make these videos. I know you get a lot of these comments, but I hope you pin this one. I used to have a serious drinking problem and I started to not necessarily go sober, but practice moderation about the same time when you decided to get clean. Sometimes, I just wanna go home and binge drink and get completely messed up, but when I watch your videos, it’s a very clear reminder that I can do it. I can have a drink in moderation, I can get a little tipsy and buzzed without absolutely destroying myself. I can recover, I am in recovery, and I don’t need alcohol. My family has had a history of alcohol abuse, alcoholism, so it’s very hard for me to drink in moderation. Thank you for making these videos #WeDoRecover
I love your energy. I am in recovery. Started my recovery January 1st,2024. Thank you so much for making these. It really does make a difference. You are a wonderful influence and role model Tina🩷 Thank you!
You're such an inspiration Tina! I'm currently 6 years clean from opioids and over a year from alcohol and you really just have to take it one day at a time. I love watching your videos because they are so relatable. All the best ❤

My brother passed away 1/10/22.. he was 21 years old.. I was 24. Everyone kept telling me I had to get out of the house, or do this, or that.. but I was so afraid to relapse bc of my depression I felt like staying home was just what I had to do.. I stayed clean, by the grace of whatever higher power is out there.. I miss that boy everyday, & sometimes I still cry every day, but at least I'm not getting high
You should be extremely PROUD of yourself. Although, you appear to be very humble so I doubt you’d express pride. But, I’m proud of you 👏 & so is the community you’ve built 👊

Tina you are such a genuine person inside and out and I just want you to know your videos are so very touching and inspiring. PS you look so beautiful and glowy here!!! ❤
Thank you so much girl. You’re such an inspiration to me! I was thinking, If it helps, look up adhd symptoms. Adhd is basically a dopamine deficiency and I look for it everywhere and when I find it, I get obsessed. I found out I had it when stimulants relaxed me. Everyone else would be bouncing off the wall but I was chill and sleepy lol! It finally gave my brain the stimulation it craved but now I just stick to caffeine. But learning about ADHD may help give yourself grace if you need it. I struggle with time management and delayed sleep phase syndrome and addiction and Hyperfixation and have trouble regulating my emotions, turns out it was all adhd and I could give myself grace about it. It does suck a lot lol but I do feel like I have almost a super human need to create and produce fun ideas and do things on social media and I notice a lot of people with adhd tend to thrive as artists and on social media. It’s great outlet to channel the dopamine we do desperately need and we can go on and on because we love it so much and feel fulfilled♥️.
My husband's been in recovery for 30 yrs. We have no illusions. It could fall apart anytime if he's not working the program and using the tools. It sounds clichéd but this is the reality.

I'm not sure why I never seen this video before but thank you so much for making this video even though I'm 48 years old I feel very lonely and you doing these kind of videos makes me not feel so lonely keep up the great videos and all that you do for people ❤
Your videos have been so interesting. Very few people in my country go into a lock up/jail/prison situation so it's fascinating to see. Also very sad how poorly they treated you.
Thanks for the great q&a Tina!! You mentioned weeks ago that you and Mom were wanting to get into walking or working out. I would love to see a video of y'all taking a walk!! You are so positive, I think you would be so thrilled by the coming spring.
I found your channel a few months ago, and you are such an incredible inspiration! I watch you on all platforms. But I just feel like I CANNOT get to where you are. First, I cannot get off certain things, without HELLISH withdrawals!!! And I am talking about meds, been taking for 15+ years. I have tried literally EVERYTHING to get off some meds, detox,.. many times, even using other things I shouldn't,... and so I want to know HOW do you get through the withdrawals, when you can't even function??!! Also, second important question; when you are choosing not to use,buy,.. get clean, change your life,... but you owe people money,... that you now can't pay,... WHAT do you do?? I can barely pay my bills, and eat!!! And you know, the plugs,.. many literally threaten you, AND your families lives!!! WHAT do you do???!!! PLEASE reply, and ANY tips will be appreciated! TY for your channel. God bless....P.S...I am actually really scared. And so this just makes me want to say, screw it,..then use! HELP!🙏💙

Tina, you could talk for an hour and people would listen! ❤❤❤ My husband is 25 years off of cocaine! ❤❤❤ I'm sure proud of him. Although we lost our oldest son to heroine addiction 3 years ago. He'd been clean for a year. He relapsed and it killed him. 😢😢😢

Your hair looks super thick and healthy! Keep need to do scalp care. I know you’ve been trying to thicken it up though it was thick before lol straightening my hair thinned it out so much. Chopped it off for growth.
The hourglass ambient pallet is to die for! Check it out if you haven’t already. Also, thank you for this channel it’s very inspiring for those of us going through hard times.
Love your videos Tina!! Your story is very inspiring; I've loved following you TikTok and YT and hearing about your story. Keep doing what you're doing 💕
Girl I love you so much! 🩷 I try to watch as much as possible but can’t see everything so I’m not sure if you’ve said this before but I’m not sure if you realize how much you’re helping people with anxiety and depression as well!! 🥺🩷 You show me how life can be when you’re not depressed and getting up everyday and being productive 🩷
My grandson just got out of prison right before Thanksgiving. He was in a halfway house which is terrible, well the one he is in. His problem now trying to find a job but it's hard to get a job as a felon. I know I can trust him, I've tested. I do make sure he gets his parole fee paid and I do send 20 bucks ever so often for pocket money. He gets so depressed and talks to me. I am trying to help him reminding him I'm proud of him and love him so much. I know he is trying. Any ideas how else I can help him. He said prison took his emotions. How can I help that? Would me writing a letter and attach it to his resumes. His PO has written a letter but no help. I'm so lost because it almost killed me. I'm almost 70 and I can't handle that again. Can you help me help him.
Loveeee the long videos ❤️ your videos are very comforting for me , it kind of helps me cope with me losing my mom to active addiction, it warms my heart seeing people make it out I love your videos so much ❤️

I'm sure proud of him.

Enjoyed this Q&A also it’s not too dark at all. Video and audio quality are great!

Tina you are so inspirational much love from Cali❤ love ya!
