    Video Description

By default, the app folders on Samsung Galaxy One UI devices look like this.
They take up the entire screen when they're open, and they have a specific layout by default.
But with the help of a Good Lock module called Home Up, I can show you how to customize the look of these application folders.
    #galaxys24 #galaxys23 #galaxys22 #galaxys21 #samsunggalaxy #oneui #oneui6
As we get back to talking about app folders, there are a few features that are already baked into the OneUI firmware.
So we can change the name of the app folder from here.
We can manually add apps or games to the folder by tapping on the + icon here.
And we can change the background of the app folder icon itself with this color dot here.
But what if we wanted to change the grid size of the folder?
Or what if we wanted the folder to be displayed in a pop-up window, rather than take up the full screen?
Thankfully we can do that with the Home Up module.
This require us to have the Good Lock application installed, so grab that from the Galaxy Store if you haven't done so already.
I'll even have an introductory video for Good Lock linked in the video description below for anyone who is not familiar with this module system.
Once Good Lock has been installed, let's use it to install the Home Up module and then tap into it when it's ready.
From here, we have a number of categories to choose from, but we'll be focusing on the Folder customization options here today.
Now, we can change the folder view style to a pop-up look, which is similar to how we see Folders work on Google Pixel devices.
Once enabled, we can see how this looks by tapping on any of our app folders.
And instead of expanding to take over the entire screen, it's just a small pop-up that will change depending on how many apps or games you've put in there.
We can also adjust the grid size of our folders.
Because maybe you want them to be displayed in a 3x3 grid. . .or maybe a 7x7 grid.
We have a lot of options here to choose from.
There's also a Folder Icon Grid section, with a few options in the list.
Then to wrap things up, we have some options regarding the background of these folders.
So we can enable this feature here, which will apply the background color of our folder icon to the entire folder itself.
And we can choose to apply the same background blur settings that we have set with the Home Screen to our folders
There's a Home Screen section within the Home Up module that will let us customize how the background blur feature works.
So we can adjust things here, and they'll be applied to both the Home Screen as well as our Folders.
Personally, I like the pop-up style look for folders, so I'll be keeping that feature enabled.
I also like to have the app icon grids setup in a certain way, too.
If you've configured your folders in a certain way on your Samsung Galaxy smartphone or tablet, share your setup down in the comments section below.

I'm huge on organizing my phone, so I have 8 folders on the first home screen page alone!

I just need One UI to let me change a folder to an icon. And maybe even tap to open an app or swipe to open the folder like Nova Launcher. I would probably stick with One UI then.
