Thanks for posting this. My wife's birthday is this weekend and we will be using a free night certificate to stay at the Waldorf Astoria - Chicago which was just upgraded to a Junior Suite. The true quandary we are facing is which deep dish pizza to choose - Giordano's or Lou Malnati's. As you guys have had both, can you tell me which did you prefer?

This is such a beautiful hotel room. Love how you celebrate your birthday! The pizza looked yummy! Sorry the bed wasn't as comfortable as it should have been for this type of hotel. Have y'all given any more thought to when you might finish your route 66 trip? Great video!

We have never been to LA so can't comment on that, I do think the Waldorf's in general seem to be a step above Conrad's. They had shopping nearby and you really just felt like you weren't in the city even though you were, we really enjoyed it.

That would be something I’d like to experience, at least once. Room service breakfast looked awesome. Sorry the pancakes weren’t much.

@@hammockstocoasters very true, we stayed at the Hilton Bonnet Creek before but had lunch at Waldorf and it was so nice. We ate out by the pool area.

Thank you, it was the start to our Route 66 trip. We have a playlist created for that on UA-cam, we went from Chicago to the mid way point.

I’m debating this location now. I just want to lounge around for a personal getaway. I’m down to either this spot or the Conrad in LA.
