Awesome video and I love that 2017 Ford F-150 at 10:32! Thank you guys so much for keeping us safe. My dad is a volunteer at my towns fire department and I'm 15 so maybe when I'm 17 or something I'll probably be joining my self.
I always like these POV dispatch videos... The viewer gets an idea on just how large a particular fire district can actually be, and how far they have to travel to answer an emergency call!
seriously, does ANYONE pull to the shoulder and stop for fire or police anymore? cause as i was taught, wether you are on the same side of the road as the emergency vehicles or the opposite side of t he road, you still need to pull to the side of the road cause you dont know where the vehicles are going to go or where they are going to turn when running code
Just started on the job a few months ago, caught a call 25 minutes away with light traffic. It was nerve wracking to think that (while we were just back-up) someone could have been waiting for 25 minutes before we showed up. Cheers to all fellow firefighters!
Yeah my guess is that this was a different department who just wasn't on 1st call till they needed the back up. The town I live in had a huge fire sometime last year and around 35 different departments ended up coming. The farest was like from 30 miles away...
Like going along for the ride--pretty countryside and courteous drivers. Really hope no animals or people were hurt but things didn't look very good once on arrival. Thanks!
here we cover approx 3500 square km a huge area for a fire brigade of 8 active FFs , and when other fire departments out side our area are busy we can be called to back them up too. some areas we respond to a very remote . but again we can be anywhere between 10min and 2.5hrs away from an incident unfortunately
It was a huge emergency just like when in my neighbor hood someone had a fire and firefighters from different county's has to come a chief car and truck was their too
Nitrogentrihydrid the main siren goes at a constant pace. however, the long drawn out tone is controlled by the firefighter in the front passenger seat
Phillip Stewart I totally Agree, as a former firefighter...we're definitely a different kind of people, I mean not everyone can do it, shoot it's not just for anyone...Gotta have guts to do this...it takes guts, caring for others, and putting ourselves in danger, making sure they are safe. My thoughts and prayers fire fighters, both active and inactive. I say both, we all active/inactive. Inactive because i/we have nightmares due to some of things I have seen, like remembering my first firefight...it was a 3 alarm dispatch / we were the first to respond, and I remember and will never forget the smell of flesh. That's something you'll never forget. Anyways...cheers to ALL firefighters
You can tell when emergency vehicles are on either coast. Because coastal areas have developed liberal entitlements. That say our personal right and entitlement to the highway is far more important that emergency vehicles right to save lives and property of others. And we have just as much right to the road as emergency vehicles.
Siren and horn were waaaay overused. Blaring the Q at only cars coming the other direction and thru an intersection with a green light is just so over the top and unnecessary.
Code red is horrible cause all the units the firefighters the police the ambulances code 3 is kinda horrible cause don't you see it causes the damages if there was a fire huge
Kinda useless of more men/equipment "IF" the existing men/equipment can't get to the fire because of fire equipment traffic jam!!!! Always felt sorry for country folk because their fire departments are voluntary and usually the fire is a complete loss. :(
man power and water support a barn fire is hell to put out trust me I been a volunteer fire fighter for 23 yrs

I'm just amazed at the good looking painted lines on the rd and no real pot holes

Anytime I see flashing lights, I move over. No telling who they could be responding to, a brother, sister, other family or a friend
was that cement mixer backwards?
Mr. Ghillie1 good!!!!
I thought the same lol
no it is not
Mr. Ghillie1 it looked like it

YotaLizard yes but they needed more man power
Donavan Glasser I'm scrolling through the comments and I keep seeing your same comment over and over 😂

YotaLizard there not going to have a station next to a farm. And this was another department responding .
Nice video, must be nice to not get stuck in traffic, very few cars on the roads.
Is this a volunteer department?
dnovids yes
Dankie
if there is wun just call me 😆😑
When I first started watching this video I was like these roads look a lot like PA. Then I read the description. It all makes sense now.
MrChecky I thought the same thing. When I saw signs on the turnpike then seeing the tolls around Norristown...
MrChecky what does PA mean
Pennsylvania

How far was this truck from the scene. Department's in our area usually don't have to travel very far to the scene.
where i live we can travel 2hrs one way just to get to a scene
jefffirefighter12106 this truck was called in for Man power so all the closer fd's were on scene

Mecchanicsburg companies and upper allen were on the scene already.
It was a huge emergency just like when in my neighbor hood someone had a fire and firefighters from different county's has to come a chief car and truck was their too
Glad is wasn't a house fire with persons trapped - How close is the fire station?
George Edwards they were responding as additional units to the fire. they weren't first due to the scene
I always thought that the siren is connected to the motor, but it doesn't seem so. Does it have its own pedal?
Nitrogentrihydrid the main siren goes at a constant pace. however, the long drawn out tone is controlled by the firefighter in the front passenger seat
how far did rescue 12 had to travel to the fure?
ALBERTO MADEIRA JR based on me traveling this route for years, about 13-14 minutes code 3
ALBERTO MADEIRA JR about 15 minutes and it's code red or code 3
Hard work of being a firefighter
I'm a marine and think u for your service
around 4:06 looks like a chiefs car runs blocker. is that common in PA?
Sometimes. It's very helpful tho.
TJ L yes most departments in PA will send chiefs or firefighters out to run blocker, especially for the ladder trucks
I turned the volume up and my dog started howling lmfao lol
I got in trouble lol now the dog has to go back out side
so bad♡♥
Keon Jones I don't believe that bullshit

Noah Curless o

If I had a farm way out there would be water storage and a high pressure pump plus generator on stand by.
What does 3 alarm fire mean? I always see it said 2 alarm, 3 alarm, 5 alarm etc, what does it mean?
I have been told it means how many fire houses are set to a fire, I could be wrong.
The number of alarms are based on staffing...if more staffing is necessary, the next alarm is sounded and Ideally more crews are on the way.
y do I see people not pulling off day side of da road smh some people did but alot of dem didn't
Robert Kelley I'm very sure he can give 2 fucks less about his spelling.....
Go back to school my sis is in headstart and she know how to spell much better than you. You can't even spell them
TheRedCreeper I think it is on the dash.
Some folks have some serious distance between them and the nearest emergency services.
Fire at 10:45

alex sabat yes. Not sure if the farmer wants it disclosed.
Oh okay thanks
