Kaito, I've used external tpms sensors for the past 3-4 years WITHOUT using the locking nut and I've never lost one. Just ditch the locking nuts I reckon.
It looks like I missed out on good fun guys. Thanks Richard for the invite to come along with you guys. Due to health reasons I had sorry to say to recline Cheers
How do you prevent corrosion after the salt water crossings? Do you have any underbody protection or do you just wash the vehicle afterwards very thoroughly, inside chassis rails etc? I've heard of relatively new 4wd's being written off after visiting Fraser and some salt water crossings due to chassis rust.
Robin Kalfat yeah all the water we went thru was fresh water.. do that in salt and yes would destroy the vehicle really.. people do it.. but yeah just got to wash very well, best thing to do is like kaito is doing, drive thru fresh water, to flush it out : ) L
Hey guys out of interest, agree with Kaido about the locknuts on the TPMS caps, but I binned mine, and just have the caps. No issues. Never lost one, many km off-road, no dramas.
8 hours Gold Coast to Inskip Point! Did you guys get stuck on the M1 Car Park, the Bruce Hwy Car park , or very very lost? That should have been a 4 hr trip.
So for some reason i decided to go back and re watch this clip and guess what i notice in 2019 luke started testing the drifta Stockton brand with use of the fire pit or at least the grill top at the 34min mark you will see it
Joel Francis ok. u need to connect soft shackles to a suitable receiver. in this case , the steel hitch link has a small sharp hole. no room for a sleeve , and without a sleeve would damage the soft shackle. not everyone has a Factor 55 hitch link or equivalent . so nothing wrong with leaving the D in, and connecting to that . it’s still much easier and quicker to use a soft shackle if u don want to u don have to . you’re not wasting time it’s saving a lot of time actually 👍 L
the D shackles is being used as the recovery point.. zip tied on, so it can't be undone or the pin fall out.. many steel hitch links have sharp edges, so this is a great way of doing it.. D's are a great point to link a soft shackle to.. soft shackles are still easier / quicker / safer to use.. and say you only got one D on the back hitch, that's all you need, where soft shackles you might carry several of them.. so still a lot of weight saving.. L
If you'd have staged a bog at Inskip cutting while camera guy is there, you may have scored advertising views in the tens of thousands. Plan some theatrics next time. Cheers. Was wondering about total fire bans though. Do they cover coals in cooker?
All muddies made a fair bit of noise, nothing u can do about it really, try sound deadner in the wheel arches and firewall on the inside, makes a big difference. dynamat. - kaito
That’s a killer intro! Awesome video, thanks!!
Great trip guys. Wish i was there.👊
Good video , you guys work hard you deserve to play hard. We need Kaito's Hilux here in the States.

Awesome vid🤙
What size tyres does the 10 lux have?
Hey mate, running 285/75/16r on a zero offset rim.
Oi Oi Oi 🇦🇺 Bloody Sweet Vid 🍻 Cheers Guy's 🎣🐟🦀
When preparing for sand duties dropping the car tires is a given but what about trailer or caravan tires? Do you also drop these tires?
Yes we do. :)
the sand looks quite dusty and soft, must have been hot up there
Coool stuff! Yuck on salt water hitting the vehicles. Oh! What happen to safety blankets on the tow lines???
You only need a safety blanket when you're pulling with a winch... A kinetic recovery rope or strap is fine
tymbom60 apparently the safety police want to see safety blankets wen snatching now
Yup safety is a priority!!!😳
Douglas Robbins exactly , and why shouldn’t we wear helmets too ! would be more safe .
Douglas Robbins brah go get some common sense From the supermarket.
About time guys 😎👍🍺
Are you mackay boys?
Richy rich, she sounds on song when you hit the loud pedal
Those 76's are so sexy and yes kaito your little 10 luxx is cute too😜

David Stephens well maybe we had a few stops on the way 👍

Was this campsite at coongul creek?
Tell Jake the accelerator is on the right, not the left. ;-)
Possible to do all this in a stock prado 150 series with only all terrain tyres?
Jazz Singh yep. Just get pressured right and your sweet
Did it in a stock Colorado 7 with road tyres.
🌴☀️
29:00 if ya guna use a good old metal shackle what were you wasting your time for puttin a soft one on as well? Makes no sense

10 LUX is a beast
OFF CLAN that’s what I’m talking bout ! ✌🏻
Looks like use speeding on the beach there mate lol
azza nah mate.
Geez the hilux’s really struggle over there In the sand.
James Dion towing a trailer in very soft sand not easy : )
Drifta Camping & 4WD well aware. I passed you guys towing a 7m riptide back from orchid beach 👍
28:37 i hope its product testing.. bit pointless having soft shackle on D shackle..
not pointless if you have sharp edges that can damage the soft shackles. I also think the recovery hitch was not wide enough...
