Just a note that traffic in America would travel on the right hand side. I think your first line from Clark Station to New York is on the left, but Clark Station to Albany is on the right.
That reminds me of the time when I was young, and we visited my grandmother in East Germany. She lived maybe 500m away from a small train station. At that time, they had lot of steam locomotives running. I loved them.
you can actually create maintenance in the train station building.. you can have up to 2 building in the train station ... one is the maintenance depot ..that is one time pay .. no upkeep. the building you build is just reducing the breakdown chance.
Hey Nivarias! Thank you so much for showcasing a custom game. I enjoyed the details highlighted by you and your enthusiasm! I'm an old gamer who remembers and still plays classic games like Railroad Tycoon 2 and Railroad Tycoon 3 which were released by Pop Top Software back in 1998 and 2003. Those games were classic railway business simulation games with a complex economy, stock market, train management, AI competitors and more. After 20 odd years, I feel we have a true successor to those games. The fact that you have AI competitors is fantastic. The graphics are incredible. Looks like you have terrains that change with seasons as we see snow covered lands in winter months. You have regular financial reports and a complex economy that is dynamic as play the game. The only thing missing a complex stock market system, which were present in the old games - Railroad Tycoon 2 and Railroad Tycoon 3. The developer also released a roadmap on features that would be added. So all in all, us Train business management game fans have a next gen game at last!
You should've made the supply line from the wheat/grain field to Albany first to get the demand boost/connection boost. After that then you could've connected New York City to Albany
I love trains! I use to play several games with trains a few years ago. I have this on my wish list atm. Been wanting to see how it looks!! Loving it so far!!🤩
@@Mizfit27 Yes, and it i a good game. The best thing to do is to watch some streams or videos on here about it. That way you would get a good idea of if it is a game for you.
I love 19th century settings for strategy games, starting with the Napoleonic wars and ending at the height of the industrial revolution with the beginning of modern technology like electricity, internal combustion engine, and even the power of early flight (lighter than air craft). So much change and so much adventure from exploration to industrialization. BTW... I'm from a small farm near a small town in the southern part of the United States. The first time I went anywhere was Austria. My university had several programs that allowed students to study abroad. In 1988 I spent a summer session in Graz. It was amazing! Of course our class visited Salzburg one weekend. We visited the famous salt mines. I got to see an opera in Wien. We visited all the Habsburg palaces. I got to climb the highest peak in the Austrian Alps and placed my name in a book on the Cross atop that peak. It's been 35 years since that summer in Austria and the memories are as vivid today as they were then. Your country is the most beautiful place I have ever been!
Decided to buy the game now, was planing to do so anyway but wasn't sure because it would be my first railraod type of game, but you convinced me, thanks for that, whatchting you for two days now and enjoying it a lot
Railway Empire is a piece of my childhood and a game that I really loved. Thank you for bringing this little piece of video game history to your channel. I will more than gladly follow this series if you carry it on. A beautiful beginning. P.S. From what little I remember (childhood memories), you have to do the maintenance stations anyway, because it seems to me that the stations don't provide repairs and additions of sand and oil.
WOW HUUUUUGE difference from Railway Tycoon v.I that I used to play and fail miserably at. Never understood the finance side with stocks and takeovers. Amazing graphics. I remember from the video the need for sand and oil and water and being able to upgrade your town but was really really basic graphics. Just bought Transport Fever2 a couple weeks ago before this sale came on. Loved your Anno vids and your empire building game selling bone bracelets as a Grave robber hahahaha.
Salzburg!!! I love that city! By far my favorite place in Europe :) I have a picture of myself going down the salt mine tour slides as a 5 year old, and I went back when I was 20 so I could take a picture going down the same slide :) Great beer, great people!
I also love trains. :) Thanks for bringing this up to my radar. Game looks stunning. Perhaps in future you can make video about great game Mashinky from one independent developer from my country. It is great, following up on great legacy of Transport Tycoon game that all train lovers know and love :)
Great game yes, better than the first which was good but it will be soon when they rinse us with one dlc after another which should make the game but get cut to turn a 50 quid game into a 100 plus pounds one when all dlc purchased.
I really love how the game looks and plays but I can't lie even playing through the tutorial it's overwhelming with how many different tabs and things to click on. Guess I'm just gonna have to trial and error run it until I get things running smoothly 😂🤙
Hi, brilliant series. thanks. one thing bugs me, probably a noob mistake. When you hover over your money at top of screen a tooltip pops up showing current weekly earnings. on mine it doesnt do this, i am also on p.c, many thanks and keep up the good work.
du kannst am bahnhof direkt eine erweiterung bauen, die ebenfalls die loks repariert. das was du baust, verwendet ma erst später mit mehr einnahmen denk ich
Region concessions increase in cost each time you buy one. But the cost also varies depending on the contents of the region, how many cities and businesses there are in the region. Grade is also very important other than the max speed on the rail. Earlier trains have low tractive effort. Meaning they have trouble pulling weight up inclines. This slows the trains travel from station to station. But if you are looking to make money off passengers and mail it effects how much you get paid. Faster is better and does take into account distance. But with freight it doesn't matter as the game pays a flat rate per car regardless of distance or time taken. Just that the longer it takes the less cartloads you can supply per week to a city's industries.
I’ve started playing a fresh start. For some reason I can’t manage to get passengers or mail being transported only goods. The train will leave empty. Any ideas ??
The game is far too easy, has anyone ever had an auction bid against them when they try to buy a business? I've never had a bid and the businesses are immediately and highly profitable. I had a task where it said 'produce ceramics in one of your cities' and i just built the factory and then demolished it .... task complete despite the fact I did not produce a ceramic or connect any clay or coal to the network. I've played pretty much every railway sim game and as fancy as this one looks, it is definitely the least challenging.
Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Not only are you from Austria but from fucking SALZBURG??? How tiny is this world. Oh no another game that seems way to fun, i need to study :(
Yeah stop what yourvfoing rite now cause at this mommen this Game sucks . No storage warehouses like one has i could go on with thos but that alone is enough .

What a wonderful game, I can't wait to see how insane the infrastructure and movement will be in the late-game

Finallyt Philly now becomes official city in Railway Empire map. 5:35 last time this city is left off on this map.

Hi nivarias! Because of the series u make i recently bought anno 1800 console and it's amazing! Keep up the good work.
I've bought at least five games because of nivarius streams. Anno was one of them...😂😂😂 he's amazing.
Is Anno like a city building game?!?! I've been curious about it but never looked into it

A new Series. Great! New stuff are always fun… Now I can watch this until next Anno is uploaded 😂
Cool! Excited to see something in the same genre with a different twist :))
Wow, it's technically very impressive, maybe a little hard to read what I'm looking at, but there are tool-tips.
I'm such a train nerd. I know I'm going to love this series
I can't wait to see more of this series, it's great
Mr. Federer definitely needed in the Trains Sphere... 👍

i love watching you play this game :)
I love how wool grows the same as cotton in this game 😂
Special wool plants.. lol
This is great! fantastic video enjoyed every second. Will be giving this a go on the game pass on PC :D

sand is used to climb, they add it on tracks to add more grip :)
this is like anno 1800 but with trains so cool

Yeah, definitely a little overwhelming for me.
Nice game. BTW Maintenance Post is not requred. You can just build a Maintenance Depot on your stations.
The game looks really good so far, but I still find it funny the UI is basically copying 2005 era Tycoon games.
I have installed the game myself. And I learned a lot from the tutorials, you should check!
Very cool so far. Buffalo is my hometown!
You should've started in Chicago- the heart of American railways.
This looks awesome!
I also am enjoying this game very much
27:55 Making money with "fright" -> yes, the railway tycoons were quite frightening people, like a mafia clan ;)

Railway Empire 2 looks so much better than Railway Empire in terms of graphics.
Hello Nivarias, are there more videos planned for Floodland? I would be interested in the future of this adventure.^^
Not at the moment, it was just sponsored. Sorry!
