Guitar tutorial for Memories Maroon 5! Mannn, I totally dig the vibe of Memories! First of all, I just love a Pop song that is guitar driven, we don't have enough of those these days! But also, HOW COOL IS IT that this follows the melody to Forever Young?! :D All you will need to play Memories are 5 guitar chords (C, G, D, Bm, and Em; I'll have chord charts in the pinned comment!), a capo on 4th fret, and a couple of picking patterns! practice songs that has a Bm chord and some F chord. It may be hard at first but you'll get used to it. When I was starting to learn playing those chords, I just put my fingers on the strings though it's not perfect, then eventually it's become easy now. :) Try and try, You can do it.

There is an easier way for b minor :- 1st finger on low e 2nd fret, 2nd finger on b 3rd fret, 3rd finger on d 4th fret and 4 finger on g 4th fret

@Jennie Kim You can do it,1st get to the chord u want to learn finger shape,then strum from 1st fret upwards to the point u cant.This is to get your muscles used to the shape.To get it stronger,get to the shape u want to learn,then starting from 1st fret moving upwards,pluck the string,do not strum.Stop when ur hand gets cramp.

Bro, this is the first time I ever try finger-picking after 5 years of playing guitar for my church choir... and I now know how to finger-pick. Not even kidding, in 10 minutes I was playing the picking parts pretty well since I can fully focus on my right hand (years of muscle memory for chords on my left hand) and in 20 minutes, I have learned the whole thing 😳 Thank you so much my dude!! Heyy !! I love your videos. Can you tell me how I should ring out the strings if I am using an open chord version of B minor. The one that I use is with the first finger on the second fret first sting-third fret second string-fourth fret 3rd string.

Heba I Great question!! Depends on the style of playing and type of music, but in most situations playing with your fingertips is best :)
Pissed me when i actually can play canon in d, c u when u get there,out of my head and that camila cabelo ft MGK together with the singing but i cant blend my singing with this guitar picking styles argghhh i dont want to sing this with someone playing the guitar for me!

Instead of playing bm itself what u can do is
After playing em chord play the BN of bm which is 2nd fret of 5th string (which is already pressed by em)
Then switch chord and press 4th fret of G string and 3rd fret of 2nd string

I had this problem when I first started out, I used to avoid anything with Bm but try to get into the habit of playing an open Am by not using your index but using your other three fingers. When you begin doing this without thinking about it you can simply move the chord shape anywhere up and down the neck and use you index finger to barre. Voila, a whole new world of chord voicings as well as Bm.
