Just purchased this car GT line, Wolf Grey, premium edition, black interior vs red. Love it! Paid MSRP $29, 9xx. It's amazing what they put in this car for the money. Lane keeping, driving assist, adaptive cruise, stylish, excellent lights, excellent gas mileage. I do about 150 miles a day (reason I wanted a good MPG car and cheap) and seeing easy 37 to 40 MPG on the highway (which is about 75% of what I drive). It's like you can't empty the gas tank at times. Seeing 450 to 480 miles per tank (15.8 gallon gas tank). Super impressed with the new KIA all around.
Congrats Jeff on the new ride! I agree with you 100% Kia really did a amazing job with this car! This is my second Kia and I’m really happy with what they are making nowadays!
How have you found Kia’s to be in terms of reliability? I’m leaning towards the Honda Civic si just because of the reliability factor but this car is also making a strong case.
I JUST RECENTLY purchased my 2021 K5 GT LINE AWD with the added premium package (I needed my sunroof, heated seats, && heated steering wheel). This wolf grey && red seat combo was SOOOOO hard to find. I live in MD and had to get my car from NC every dealer told me I would have to pre-order it! So happy to have gotten my car. I absolutely love it!!!! Worth everyyyyyyyyyyyyyy penny!!
Same! I’ve had mine for 3 days now. Funny enough I told the dealership that I did not want the red interior but they just sold the one with the black interior. I’m so glad they did because the red interior has grown on me. It’s super sexy! I work from home so I just need somewhere to go lol. Looking forward to a night drive with sunroof down 😊
I just bought a 22' K5 GT Line in Wolf Grey, Absolutely love it, however Kia is taking advantage of the Chip Shortage with American Cars. They take MSRP and add between 1500-3000$ to the tag. So I had to put more down, I have 100 miles on it LOL but I love it ! Coming from someone who previously had the new Gen Manual Hondas (Accord/Civic). I'm not going back!
I freakin love this car. I ended up deciding to buy it even tho the chip shortage and mark ups I got a sweet deal instead of paying 33k, I paid 29,999. So happy with it.
@@westcoastkidd17 i just got lucky I told the sales man that I could only do 30K and he told his manager about my situation. The manager just decided to give me the reduced price.
I bought a new K5 GT LINE with premium package in passion red last May. I paid sticker, they would not negotiate. While I was there, they sold 3 k5s! . They had added some dealer options, which I did get them to remove the price on those, and of course did not, could not, remove. No mark up, I would never pay that. I like the car fine, I've got about 3500 miles on it. I'm satisfied with the power it has, it isn't slow, it has good acceleration, faster than alot of cars on the road, but, agree its not super quick by any standard. I'm in Southern California and have driven it to Las Vegas twice and doing 80 85 mph with the AC on, I got 36 mpg, fillup, doing the math. Very good. And I agree, it a great looking car!

Also the two front door handles light up when you approach the car. Also the back split seat folds down for more cargo space. There are extremely fine filaments imbedded in the front windscreen that heat up to melt ice and snow accumulation instead of scraping it off. Heated front seats. It took about 3 sessions for me to figure everything out. You need to turn on many of the safety features and some of the convenience features. Once they are on, they will always stay on so no need to set up every time you start the engine. I did have a bit of trouble figuring out the radio. The only issue I have is grabbing the drivers seat belt. It sets a little too far back on its anchor, so I have to turn my body around a bit to grab it. You can tell that I love this car! Oh yes I forgot, my wife said it’s the easiest car to drive then any we have owned.
Appreciate the comment and yes I didn’t mention all of the details this car comes with because if I kept going this would be a 40 min video because the car like you said has a lot of options! I’m at 12k miles already and made a few videos on it after this one and I agree with what your wife said “ great car and easy to drive “
Just ordered this exact vehicle today, fwd GT line, wolf gray with premium package and red interior, as well as carpeted floor mats. Paying MSRP of $29,615 as Van Griffith Kia in Granbury, TX does NOT have market adjustments on their KIAs. They also tint the windows for free and give the first 5 oil changes for free (I live 3 hours away so not important for me but still a nice free extra). Paid the $1,000 refundable deposit but the only issue is I am being told it could take up to 4 months. We will see how long it takes but literally the only dealership in Texas that doesn’t have a market adjustment and I contacted everyone in Houston, Austin and Dallas. Interested to see if anyone has ordered one recently and how long it took to get yours?
Congrats on the new ride. In my opinion if that’s the only dealerships near you that gives you the car for MSRP and no mark up it’s worth the wait then paying 3k + over
Ordered my wolf grey k5 yesterday- 8-12 days supposedly. Excited. I owned a 2017 fusion before this and the k5 i drove only briefly was far noticeably better! I have been a toyota guy for decades, i love the fusions austin healy front end and thats where i got myself intro trouble. Guys, if you pick up something only because of the way it looks beware. Lol. i had to replace my fusion engine at 75k miles for a problem ford knew about but wouldn’t declare a recall. I pray my K5 removes the paranoia I generated from buying a ford that lived up to the names we called them in the 70’s. Kia! Love tye way it looks and hope it Doesn’t let me down.
Congrats on your new car 🙏 very interesting because if you look at my channel and videos you will notice we have similar taste! Yes if you have positive equity in your current car it can go towards a down payment on your lease or if you are buying it could cover the sales tax on your purchase on new car!
Just call up all the dealers near you, find the spec car you want and then dry to get that deal on paper so if they won’t work a deal with you you can go to another dealer and tell them to give you better deal then the dealer prior. This or a 2020-2022 Volkswagen GLI Autobahn? Styling wise, at first I preferred the GLI but maybe that’s because of my plans for exterior mods, tints, rims etc. but also, I linda like the infotainment better and it has ventilated seats. Any pros or cons of getting one over the other ?
I like the GLI but I will have to say it definitely needs to be lowered a little in my opinion. I can’t tell you which is better because I never drove the GLI. I also think you should shop around with both brands and few dealers and see who will give you the car for MSRP because of this chip shortage and everything.
Is the driving height really low. I'm in a 2016 forte and in tired if pulling myself out of the car. Is he k5 the same or maybe a bit higher up than the forte? My other choose is a tuscon
I had a 2021 Kia Forte right before I got the k5 and the Kia is def a little bit higher seating position so it should be a little easier to get in and out. Go to a local dealer and test it out is my suggestion
I'm so mad they don't have graivity grey with a black interior and red seats! I really don't want to settle for black and I'm still not sure how I feel about the wolf grey.

Just keeping looking and contacting other dealers. When I was looking for a car other dealers tried to ask few thousands over MSRP aswell because chip shortage but I then decided to get another Kia and luckily got my deal.
Not all dealers mark it up! You can read through the comment section and see some people to have to shop around and maybe even drive a little distance to find it for MSRP. Second Kia I got during chip shortage and both no mark ups.
@@artysgarage ah ok! Well this is my first Kia and I put a deposit down for the black/red interior gt line and it’s supposed to be here next week. The dealers price is 32,050 not including fees so I was trying to see if I can negotiate it down to at least $30k with fees. I’m in Houston so not sure if that or the color combo is what they might say they can’t budge on price because of. I’m trying to read everyone’s comments and seeing that lots of peeps get it for 30k makes me want to try too lol
Used ones are selling for more than the new one, crazy right. I just seen a 22 gtline for 36,000 and it has 13,000 miles on it. I'm only pay 30,715 for mine brand new.
Hmm didn't post for some reason but anyways. Had it for about a month now. From what I can tell so far very little to complain about. If I had to be nitpicky it could have stood to be a little more power. However getting a catch can installed and a throttle body spacer. I found that to be beneficial. I also like how easy it is to change the filter. My old car was a pain which took like 20 minutes. Here you just pop in pop out and gone in 30 seconds lol. Haven't got to try it on the snow yet but we'll see. Another feature I just noticed is the traction control monitor in your display HUD. It shows you how much traction each of your tires has any one time. That could be beneficial in the winter time here. :b
It’s a lease. That’s the price they are selling me the vehicle if you calculate the buyout at end of lease. If I wanted to purchase it it would be 29.xxx and my state sales tax and registration! No mark up 👍
@@bajmk5350 because the chip shortage dealers across the country are asking few thousand on top of the sticker price! Honda wanted few thousand more for the new civic and accord when I was shopping around
@@bajmk5350 when your at a dealership and you looking at the window sticker there is the price MSRP. I always negotiate down and don’t ever want to pay the sticker price! They will try to add it in different ways just always try to negotiate to get it below MSRP
Bro, if you only have 30k in the bank, buying a car shouldn't even be on your mind. BUT if you meant if you only have 30 FOR A CAR, then makes sense! #Sweetride
Keeping reaching out to dealers , find the lowest offer you get ask it on paper then go to another one and tell them to beat that offer! It’s a process but hopefully you can get the car you want!
@@artysgarage yeah I just really wanted AWD and cooled seats and 360 camera. Sadly camera and seats only come with GT. Didn't really care about the Bose or bigger engine
I'm so torn, I wanted to see this in person but it's all sold out in my area and the guy said 3 months to restock but I need a car asap, so I'm stuck with an elantra. Show us the interior, not your face when talking.....
You don’t need to pay dealer mark ups! Shop around with every dealer near you and always get the quotes on paper. When I say I got the car for under 30k I did not include taxes in that number.
@@artysgarage Well its too late for me sadly lol. I'll play the game better on the next car when I have more time to shop. Some fool totalled my old mustang so I needed something quick & rentals were absurdly overpriced around here. I ended up around 31k before taxes, extended warranty, etc.. So I think I got screwed a bit. It was the only one of these '22s I could find in my area in that wolf grey/red interior combo at the time.
I don't get what people are saying this is under 30 grand I paid 36. Maybe with the premium package it's more I don't know. Actually it's closer to 40 once I finish paying my loan off. Wish I could have afforded the Stinger though oh well lol. :/
@@artysgarage Actually despite losing a couple of parking safety featues on the GT-Line & your rear vent control I'm loving it. The GT-Line seems to have the best balance cost feature ratio and it's AWD which is a bonus. Do like the more aggressive styling and fog lights is nice as well. Wish it had the quad exhaust like the GT but that should be easy enough to remedy. Nitpicking here a bit but really no complaints so far!! :b
Same I paid around 36 for the 22 gt line and it was worth it in my opinion. I wish there was a v6 option but I think at that point it would be competing with the stinger. But like many people I went looking for a stinger and just couldn't justify the price. This was a nice alternative.
Unless you got the GT you paid too much. I pick mine up Thursday and I can show you the window sticker of 30715. Blue, gtline, awd with premium package.
So the specs of your new 2022 K5 GT Line is LESS than my 2012 Optima SX. My 2012 is 2.0l Turbo 4 cylinder, 6 speed transmission, 274hp, 263lb. ft. torque. I am better off with mine.

I love mi gt line kia k5 I just both one ago..
Nice
How much does the car that appears in the video come out with those finishes and colors?
30k
I can't believe KIA forces us to upgrade to the EX to get rear AC Vents.
Everything is about money and seems like 30k is not enough noadays
How did you get it for 30k? Texas dealerships mark it all the way up to 36k
Not all dealers mark it up! You can read through the comment section and see some people to have to shop around and maybe even drive a little distance to find it for MSRP. Second Kia I got during chip shortage and both no mark ups.
do gt line kia k5 have ace in the back and no carpet surface
My trim model doesn’t have rear vents. What carpet surface?
Bought my 2022 gt line wolf gray premium package red interior 2 days ago under $30,000
Congrats on your new ride 🙏👍
Did you negotiate the price down, or was that as is?
@@alluringcomplexions I negotiated on my side but this is my second Kia from same dealership!
@@alluringcomplexions planning on getting this car did u negotiate?
How’s the sound system in it?
It’s alright, I won’t lie and tell you it’s amazing!
Is this one a awd or fwd?
Fwd
Does anyone has a Kia K5 GT Line 2021 without front seat warmer ?
Mine didn’t have it
I will wait for a used one
Used car market is crazy now 🤷🏻♂️
You will be waiting a long time
Used ones are selling for more than the new one, crazy right. I just seen a 22 gtline for 36,000 and it has 13,000 miles on it. I'm only pay 30,715 for mine brand new.
EX has vents in the rear though
Yep and I wish the Gt line came with the vents since it’s a 30k car
Definitely a steal for the money and all the options you get in it 👍
So, brother, i drive 5k miles a month, are the seats comfortable?
Very comfortable seats I put 7k miles on it in 3 months with my family road trips and everyone in the family loves the car
How’s the reliability so far?
2 months 4K miles so far and I love this car! One of my favorite cars I have owned 👍
13k plus miles and no problem
@@diegoperez2279 that’s awesome to hear 👍
Is that 30k out the door price?
It’s a lease. That’s the price they are selling me the vehicle if you calculate the buyout at end of lease. If I wanted to purchase it it would be 29.xxx and my state sales tax and registration! No mark up 👍
@@artysgarage what do you mean buy mark up here?
@@bajmk5350 because the chip shortage dealers across the country are asking few thousand on top of the sticker price! Honda wanted few thousand more for the new civic and accord when I was shopping around
@@artysgarage how can we check that? Under what section would that be sneaked in?
@@bajmk5350 when your at a dealership and you looking at the window sticker there is the price MSRP. I always negotiate down and don’t ever want to pay the sticker price! Now dealers are adding prices on top in some cases it’s called a MARK UP and sometimes they put it under aftermarket. They will try to add it in different ways just always try to negotiate to get it below MSRP
Bro, if you only have 30k in the bank, buying a car shouldn't even be on your mind. BUT if you meant if you only have 30 FOR A CAR, then makes sense! #Sweetride
Can you tell me which dealer sells this for 30K? i saw a dealer today in virginia and he wants 45 K and they marked up 10 K for chip shortages.
Trophy Kia downtown LA
45k? What was the MSRP on the car before mark up! This is the first time I’m hearing 10k mark up on any Kia
Kalidy Kia in OKC, I work in sales there and we are selling at sticker.
@@artysgarage I think MSRP was between 32K-35K.
@@artysgarage Vegas had an MSRP $29.5k they wanted $44.3k 😂😂🤦♀️
Except I can't seem to get it for under 30k ... Sad
Keeping reaching out to dealers , find the lowest offer you get ask it on paper then go to another one and tell them to beat that offer! It’s a process but hopefully you can get the car you want!
Just hate that GT doesn't come with AWD and the GT is the only ones that comes with cooled seats and 360 view.
Yea the GT in awd would be a great 👍 but I’m still happy with what Kia has to offer and for the money
@@artysgarage yeah I just really wanted AWD and cooled seats and 360 camera. Sadly camera and seats only come with GT. Didn't really care about the Bose or bigger engine
Maybe they will change that up for next year, but then it’s a waiting game
@@artysgarage I hope so. Get the cooled seats being highest end only buy the 360 view should be on others since it's safety option
🤷🏻♂️
This k-5 gt line is AWD??
You can get it awd or front wheel drive
I'm so torn, I wanted to see this in person but it's all sold out in my area and the guy said 3 months to restock but I need a car asap, so I'm stuck with an elantra.
Show us the interior, not your face when talking.....
😌 did you look at the forte Gt line , I had forte before this and it was nice
If only it were possible to actually buy one for under 30k lol.. after taxes, dealer upcharge, etc.. good luck
It was the only one of these '22s I could find in my area in that wolf grey/red interior combo at the time.
waiting for Lambo Countach review
Soon
I don't get what people are saying this is under 30 grand I paid 36. Maybe with the premium package it's more I don't know. Actually it's closer to 40 once I finish paying my loan off. Wish I could have afforded the Stinger though oh well lol. :/
Maybe your car has few more options or the state you live in? You enjoying your k5 ?
@@peterkinder4225 still a lot of car for the money 👍
Unless you got the GT you paid too much. I pick mine up Thursday and I can show you the window sticker of 30715. Blue, gtline, awd with premium package.
KIA GT is a lot of car for the money
I agree
Should have kept the forte
Small upgrade
@Dale Macarena ➊ yes I had a LXS
So the specs of your new 2022 K5 GT Line is LESS than my 2012 Optima SX. My 2012 is 2.0l Turbo 4 cylinder, 6 speed transmission, 274hp, 263lb. ft. torque. I am better off with mine.
If you want that power then go with the k5 Gt you will get more horsepower or like you said keep your car
k5 < tesla
They aren't even in the same category lol. Why even compare a $30k car to a $50k car?
@@dougdonaldson5981 what are u talking about? i got my tesla for 30k
@@deadpeanut_ used?
Even if you could get a new tesla at the same price the cars are not in the same category. There's no point in comparing them.
Honestly nothing against Tesla’s but no sound is a no no for me. Plus their interior for the modeL 3 and y unattractive.. simple nothing but boring interior.
