Measure the size of the switch in your flashlight before ordering a replacement switch
"Omten" is a brand that makes long life, reliable flashlight switches.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Since most Flashlight switches consist of 3 Contacts (1 conducting ring and 2 pins ). The method of repairing the switch in this video should work on most zoomable/reflector Flashlights like the GearLight / E17 Taclight / "Lumitact G700", Alonefire, Shadowhawk X800, sipik Sk68 , "atomic beam", LS360, Skywolfeye, Ultrafire Cree T6 , 501b , 502b ,Convoy, P60 Q5 , etc.
The only difference is that some flashlight switches are screwed into the Tailcap and some are press-fitted, Cheap flashlights tend to be press-fitted, but the mechanism of The Switch is The Same.

I made a new video containing the full disassemby of the Atomic Beam Flashlight, including the Pill (Head) and the switch

ENTONCES QUE LO TRATO DE SOLDAR DE NUEVO
Wow! This worked. Was about to give up, but your video made it clear and easy to fix the switch.
This is the most clear instructions for repairing flashlight switch. thank you! I just reassemble and add some oil and forgot to scratch it with sandpaper
Thanks. I knew the Atomic Flashlight quit for something simple and your fix was spot on. Well done.

You're welcome!
Glad to help.
عفواً.
Thank you so much. I realized this must be planned obsolesence when this happened to my flashlight so I decided to Google it & fix it instead of buying a new one.
I just spent about 30 minutes trying to find a video/picture that would show me how to put my flashlight back together...it's crazy that I came upon this the same day that it was created.
Thanks! I just got my flashlight fixed. This was very helpful!!
Thank You for the DIY. Fixed a cheapo 'J5-Tactical' flashlight someone had discarded.
+ I used a 9mm socket to pop the switch out, 10mm socket to push it back in, worked well.
edit to add: I've also used anti-seize compound in the threads to help with continuity of the negative side.
Thanks alot , cleaned off where the positive n negative polarities were reassembled n the flashlight worked !
VERY appreciative for the video! Tried almost all I could think of and then Google searched for solution and only went as far as pulling the clicker button out of its stuck position then BAM!!! ALL GOOD... THANKS AGAIN
You're welcome! Glad to you fixed it. 💐💐
Thanks for the video, had a LED flashlight with a broken on off button this helped a lot and the button now works again thanks to this video!
Thank you very much! I didn't know how to open it - I suspect that is glued together or screwed into the thread. My laser cost me a lot of money and has a very incompatible switch button. Now I can order suitable parts for repairs. Once again thank you very much!
Thx. Saved me from buying new one. Repaired and old one works again like charm.
Thank you so much! You go a little fast so I had to put it in quarter speed.. But the repair was spot on. Thanks again!
You're welcome!
Thank you so much! I was stuck out in the woods and my flashlight went dim. So I watched this video and repaired on site! Got outta the woods and realized I coulda used the flashlight on my phone!
Very useful tutorial!
Hell yeah, dude. I fixed my taclight because of you. Thanks! :)

thank you very much OH MY GOD YOU SAVED MY LIFE:):) thank you seriously.
I am
thank you very much, and i managed to solve my flashlight problem 👍🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Excellent...I will try this and give you a feedback👍👌🙏
Did try , had some challenges but in the end successful !( In my case the battery had leaked and inside the base unit , and I had to use sand paper in the sides to remove the acid debris). It was finally so satisfying. Thank you so much bro🙏👌👍
Great stuff man. It helped me assemble back my flash light. All went well.. thanks brother.
Thank you for your awesome video. Very helpful. Fixed 3 tailcaps. YAY!
Thank you for your kind comment.
Glad you fixed them.
thank you.. now i can use my old flashlight.. better to buy new one
done fixing mine! this is really helpful, thanks a lot for this sir! ^_^
Gracias genio, Master, groso, papá!!! Me sirvió mirar el video y pude arreglar mi linterna!!! 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏
Thanks for the vid. I was able to make my Total Lohans(2) work again
Made to break, just like everything else. You fix it by throwing it out and buying a new one! Yipee!
No, Hbasm.. I respectfully disagree.
It is a decent flashlight that is fairly reliable for home use.. and it can be easily repaired. So why throw and buy when it is easily repairable.
@@Dhulfiqar Thanks. But ours didn't last very long. My grandfathers flashlight never developed problems like that. Although this looks sturdy on the outside, it falls apart easily when opened up. I suspect ours is flickering because everything inside is so lose. But we'll see. I hope to be proven wrong. Thanks for the video and your reply.
@@hbasm3271 You're welcome dear.. Since it's flickering, most likely the contacts of the switch need cleaning.
follow the instructions in this video and hopefully you'll be able fix it.. All the best.
Thank u very much . This video helped a lot to repair my old torch....
Awesome video, I watched it in slow motion 9 times to figure out how I kept screwing up the reassembly. 😂
Along with doing all the steps you laid out, I just would like to add I had to clean the inside of the case with a scotch bright pad. The small post on the switch wasn't getting good ground until cleaned. Works like a champ now. 👍🏿
Thank you! I was wondering why my shit wasn’t working I put all the parts in backwards 🤦🏻♂️
Thank for the tutorial it works perfectly.
You're welcome! Glad it worked.
It really works dude.. goodjob..keep posting..
AWESOME it works!!!
Haha generals in the background gla faction great diy video
Thank you, worked like charm... 🙏🏾
Thank you! I followed your method and fix my flashlight. But why I could not see any abnormal area on the metal contacts?
thank you very much for your sharing even though this vidio is already 3 years old 😁😃👍👍
You're welcome!
@@Dhulfiqar are you still creating content? because content like this is really useful
God willing. Glad that my humble content was useful to you. 💐
Yeayy.. its alive... 😄
New one isnt that expensive.. but its fun to fix the broken one.. less trash.. 😁
Exactly.

Yeah Thank you very much
Thank you for the video.
Thank you for watching.
It’s helpful...thanks very much
EXCELENTE DEMOSTRACION
Thanks, switch just about cross wired my brain.
File? Start with a brown paper bag and/or rubber eraser works great, usually. Brasso or metal polish, then go to a file if it's that bad!
Thank you very much
Pls do not forget to clean the other edge (behind the led light) as spark occurs too there.
Very nice 💕💕
Thanks for video
You're Welcome!
Thanks!
You're welcome and thank you for your support!
Hello, very informative, thanks. I have an Imalent DT35 with 4 cree xhp 35 leds (2017) and 2 of them are flikering, blinking... I recently bought it used, but it had very little use, so it is like new.... sometimes a 3rd led will start ok at 80lm setting, but then will turn off at 1000lm or 5000lm settings. The 4th one will never turn on. Do you think is there some solution for it? (by the way, with just 2 leds working the amount of light is impressive!)
Hello Marcos, you need a multimeter to test the LEDs one by one.
There are many useful posts on how to test the LEDs on BudgetLightForum.com
All the best.

Gacias arregle mi bateria
A useful video but after following the process my Lumitact G700 still doesn’t work. The problem lies somewhere in the assembly you cleaned as the torch works ok if I short the battery to the torch casing. Where can I find a replacement, please? Who do I contact? There is no way to contact you directly? Thank you so much.
Hello, Since the flashlight worked when you shorted the battery to the torch casing then the switch needs to be replaced or disassembled and cleaned, you can buy good quality replacement switches from Aliexpress , Just make sure to measure your switch before ordering because they are two sizes, 17x12mm switch goo.gl/PpA91t And 12x08mm switch goo.gl/erhDiz

Where can i find that little spring?
In the vacuum bag :)
Hi, do you know the size of the switch for LETION LE189D?
Thanks in advance
I don't know its size unfortunately, but you can disassemble the switch and then measure it (just measure the length and width of plastic shell, exclude the conductors when measuring it)
@Whoop!
it took me 2 1/2 hours.
Can somebody tell me who the manufacturer of the switch is, the model number and where to buy one or more please
di belakang senter police ada kabel nya bro
Thk
I have an xhp50 flashlight the rubber piece fell out of the hole for the press button on and off button can't seem to find one anybody know how to fix it where I can get one
There are many sizes of Rubber Caps, choose the right one for your flashlight bit.ly/2u622Yq
i had collect a q5 with cob led flash light, few days back i shake it due to water inside it, after that the light is not working. but when it is in charging its light up but otherwise its not work. i try to open it but dont find any way to open,, can anyone help me
When you fix it, you will learn it. If you just want to use it, then throw away the old one and buy the new one even better and cheaper with more lumens.
are those stupid little...thin as paper contacts part of the cam mechanism?
What is the measurement of the switch that you are repairing ?
The dimensions of the switch shown in this video is:
Length=17mm Width=12mm
But note that, switch sizes differ in the same flashlight, each batch might have a different size from the other, so measure yours before ordering a replacement.
Small sun tourch ka switch kahan se khareedain?
It can be bought from Aliexpress, check the links in the description.
Sorry I broke it I have what is the solution
Buy new one or do without. Not rocket science.
Hy there. I got problem with my t6 flashlight. Once i switch on its automaticly changed the mode with single press. I checked and done tighten all screw but the result still same. Can anyone help me. Tq
Yes you right. My capacitor copper worn out. So what can i do to fix?

Yah Vatan Mujhe Ko chahie
I can't even remove the switch from the tailcap 😑
Minta no watsap bos ,senter swat ya gak mau maen pas diputer dimmer ya
You cut the video too much
I'd charge 10 bucks labor to repair a switch, and when someone brought me one, I'd hand them a new flashlight that I bought in a 9 for 10 bucks package. don't get me wrong it's interesting, just not practical imo, but do what you. want, I practice impractical use of my time practically all the time
Great stuff man. It helped me assemble back my flash light. All went well.. thanks brother.
