I made a new video containing the full disassemby of the Atomic Beam Flashlight, including the Pill (Head) and the switch ua-cam.com/video/qrIP4cUewaU/v-deo.html
VERY appreciative for the video! Tried almost all I could think of and then Google searched for solution and only went as far as pulling the clicker button out of its stuck position then BAM!!! ALL GOOD... THANKS AGAIN
This is the most clear instructions for repairing flashlight switch. thank you! I just reassemble and add some oil and forgot to scratch it with sandpaper
Thank You for the DIY. Fixed a cheapo 'J5-Tactical' flashlight someone had discarded. + I used a 9mm socket to pop the switch out, 10mm socket to push it back in, worked well. edit to add: I've also used anti-seize compound in the threads to help with continuity of the negative side.
Thank you very much! I didn't know how to open it - I suspect that is glued together or screwed into the thread. My laser cost me a lot of money and has a very incompatible switch button. Now I can order suitable parts for repairs. Once again thank you very much!
Thank you so much. I realized this must be planned obsolesence when this happened to my flashlight so I decided to Google it & fix it instead of buying a new one.
Excellent...I will try this and give you a feedback👍👌🙏 Did try , had some challenges but in the end successful !( In my case the battery had leaked and inside the base unit , and I had to use sand paper in the sides to remove the acid debris). It was finally so satisfying. Thank you so much bro🙏👌👍
Along with doing all the steps you laid out, I just would like to add I had to clean the inside of the case with a scotch bright pad. The small post on the switch wasn't getting good ground until cleaned. Works like a champ now. 👍🏿
Thank you so much! I was stuck out in the woods and my flashlight went dim. So I watched this video and repaired on site! Got outta the woods and realized I coulda used the flashlight on my phone!
No, Hbasm.. I respectfully disagree. It is a decent flashlight that is fairly reliable for home use.. and it can be easily repaired. So why throw and buy when it is easily repairable.
@@Dhulfiqar Thanks. But ours didn't last very long. My grandfathers flashlight never developed problems like that. Although this looks sturdy on the outside, it falls apart easily when opened up. I suspect ours is flickering because everything inside is so lose. But we'll see. I hope to be proven wrong. Thanks for the video and your reply.
@@hbasm3271 You're welcome dear.. Since it's flickering, most likely the contacts of the switch need cleaning. follow the instructions in this video and hopefully you'll be able fix it.. All the best.
I just spent about 30 minutes trying to find a video/picture that would show me how to put my flashlight back together...it's crazy that I came upon this the same day that it was created.
Hello, very informative, thanks. I have an Imalent DT35 with 4 cree xhp 35 leds (2017) and 2 of them are flikering, blinking... I recently bought it used, but it had very little use, so it is like new.... sometimes a 3rd led will start ok at 80lm setting, but then will turn off at 1000lm or 5000lm settings. The 4th one will never turn on. Do you think is there some solution for it? (by the way, with just 2 leds working the amount of light is impressive!)
Hello Marcos, you need a multimeter to test the LEDs one by one. There are many useful posts on how to test the LEDs on BudgetLightForum.com All the best.
A useful video but after following the process my Lumitact G700 still doesn’t work. The problem lies somewhere in the assembly you cleaned as the torch works ok if I short the battery to the torch casing. Where can I find a replacement, please? Who do I contact? There is no way to contact you directly? Thank you so much.
Hello, Since the flashlight worked when you shorted the battery to the torch casing then the switch needs to be replaced or disassembled and cleaned, you can buy good quality replacement switches from Aliexpress , Just make sure to measure your switch before ordering because they are two sizes, 17x12mm switch goo.gl/PpA91t And 12x08mm switch goo.gl/erhDiz Regards
I don't know its size unfortunately, but you can disassemble the switch and then measure it (just measure the length and width of plastic shell, exclude the conductors when measuring it)
Y QUE SE PUEDE HACER SI LA PARTE DELANTERA DE LA LAMPARA POR LA PARTE DEL INTERIOR LLEVA UN RESORTE BUENO ESE SE ESTA DESPEGANDO O MEJOR DICHO DESOLDANDO

When you fix it, you will learn it. If you just want to use it, then throw away the old one and buy the new one even better and cheaper with more lumens.
But note that, switch sizes differ in the same flashlight, each batch might have a different size from the other, so measure yours before ordering a replacement.

File? Start with a brown paper bag and/or rubber eraser works great, usually. Brasso or metal polish, then go to a file if it's that bad!
Very nice 💕💕

The dimensions of the switch shown in this video is:
