I’ve been cutting my own hair since I was 11 years old with my dads beard trimmers, now I use Wahl Seniors with a peanut and Andis foil shaver and I can mid skin fade in 15 minutes by myself. Practice makes all the difference.
Guys just make it simple. If you only got beard timmers only use two guards that have the mm close to each other (7 and a 9mm). And I recommend an only side fade. And use a 12mm and a 16 for the back. Then scissors on top and only cut off 1/2 and inch at a time. And set expectations low asf,
Chris, I’ve seen videos where you cut your own hair and while I agree that it takes time to get used to the reverse/ mirror motions one thing that is almost impossible to do to your own head is clipper over comb along the crown line. Can you address this in a future video? Cutting your hair is a lot easier with 3-way mirror, like self cut system, but clipper over comb is hard. Anyway around this? Thanks
When I saw the cut Kanye did on Instagram, I went back to this video. On 10:51 this man did the Kanye West cut on himself before Kanye did. He should get a credited for that😂🤣
Could I fix it? That hairline without enhancements? not a chance. The fade itself would have to be a half guard closed all the way around to make it all even and then bring that high fade up into a boosie fade and then try to bring that hairline back with the straight razor and create that illusion of his hairline, but he cut that whole hairline already with no guard so that’s where it gets trick
Id just give him a half either with or against the grain depending how thw front would end up and a boosie fade highest tight fade basically a Kobe cut

But one question, I notice thinning around my hairline, what should I do to kind of even out the cut so it doesnt look as dark? I had cut my hair down to a 1.5 wtg, anything I should try differently so that the thinning spots arent as noticeable?
Shit I learned during quarantine and my shit came out pretty good. It's all in the clippers man, get some good clippers before you even try. Cord is the way to go.
