1st Streamer Team [ChessNetwork] Battle | Tournament #26

- Опубліковано 20 вер 2024
- This is the 1st Streamer Team Battle held on lichess.org. 9 teams competed in this 2-hour event of 3|0 blitz. Team ChessNetwork was the team I competed for, naturally. Members of the same team do not get paired against each other. The sum of the top 20 performers' scores equals the final team total. In my mind if you compete for a team, you are a help to a team. Even if you are outside of the top 20 for team ChessNetwork, you are pushing other members to score higher. Moreover, defeating or even losing a hard fought battle to other competitors helps keep the scores of other teams less. Many thanks to all competitors of the 1st Streamer Team Battle, especially those who played for team ChessNetwork. :)
I'm a self-taught National Master in chess out of Pennsylvania, USA who was introduced to the game by my father in 1988 at the age of 8. The purpose of this channel is to share my knowledge of chess to help others improve their game. I enjoy continuing to improve my understanding of this great game, albeit slowly. There I am! I only played three games, but I won all three. The GreatBlueDonut strikes again!
Thats pretty awesome
15:49 is the true sound of fear. Love you Jerry! Thank you for continuing to upload!!
jerry, i always believed you'd at some point upload this, i even asked you to in pm, because it's historical moment not of just lichess but your very life both in and outta chess senses: you could do nothing but rely on fans and supporters, competetion was intense, moreover there was some tempting stuff like high possibility of players gravitating to the teams who had most players or biggest dogs. when i was watching your stream minutes before tournament started i remember very vividly how happily you reacted to seeing Tihon was online and just in time to contribute to your overall score, this tournament was basically you checking if you'd get same support from people you've been supporting for years. but who on earth can both watch you for years and not choose team Jerry? definitely not me, and thankfully it wasn't only me but many who chose you because of what you have gained through the years of hard and passionate work - love and respect. mostinfamous (as seen here on 00:25) from team chessnetwork, getting every win with berzerk but losing way more, hence "not contributing" but i hope if there's gonna be part 2 i'll do better. i wish they make it hyper, my timecontrol of choice, i can swear i'll end up actually contributing.
Nice words. Thank you mostinfamous. 👍
Approaching 400 thousand subs, I see. You utterly deserve it!! The best channel regarding chess tactics and commentary.
Thank you for the compliment.
I remember after not playing for years thinking how the heck do they play like this I can't even see them move, it went so fast.... Now not only can I follow along I've learned more in the last year then any prior.... Mr. Jerry Thx for your time & effort.....👍👍
Great to read of your progress Tim. 👍
The chain of events from 15:49 to 17:23 is irreducibly remarkable.
35:32 "woah a quick resigners i love quick resigners" haha
Ohhh Jerry, you're back!!! I'm so happy
Jerry, you are truly a fantastic educator and entertainer. I am so grateful have the opportunity to learn from you. We are very fortunate to exist at the same time as you.
You the best Jerry. Cool to see you had a nice legion of chess supporters!
45:30 that was amazing like an olympic gymnast. Planted it, man.
So as usual I'm watching one of your playlists and it's amazing how lichess improved their site exactly like the way you pointed out the issue (without you actually saying they were issued)
Example: You play against someone but don't know what team they are representing.
You single handedly made their site better. They should give you a kick back 😊
Watched full 2 hours,Just read the description after, at the end you asked to subscribe and I forgot I still haven't lol, great games gg for the team, and thank you for such a great video and amazing channel.

@@mryuvraj9182 I don't have a Twitch account yet. I should get one though, at some point.
Jerry, how come you haven’t been putting out videos as much as you used to?
I believe that you should establish a threshold under which to berserk on weaker opponents to earn more points for your team.
Great video, Jerry!
You’re alive!
Okay time for you and Kingcrusher and some team players to go at it.
Hey Chess network. What chess software did you use to do your beginner to chess master series?
Hey jerry, I reached out to you on Twitter but didn’t get a response. Could you tell me the name of the outro music?

If you watch the Eric Rosen 12 hours of chess video they play against each other at some point, I remember the score being 20-23 for Eric.
I was impressed I thought Eric would have a huge advantage, they are actually even, Jerry is not playing around.

I feel like Ben Finegold and Jerry playing would be great to see.
We all do. Ben finegold has commented in the past how often he gets that request.
