If you're going to do at least two more pop reactions this year you need to do these. -Sawayama-Rina Sawayama -How I'm Feeling Now-Charli XCX Both of them are not "conventional" pop albums, with HIFN being very experimental. Both of them work with legends in the hyperpop community like Clarence Clarity, AG Cook, Danny L Harle, and Dylan Brady of 100 gecs. Both deserved Grammy's
Well Sawayama is more conventional and typical pop inspired in 2000s sounds and with a couple of rock songs with fantastic lyrics but Charli is totally experimental and alternative pop. Other great pop record with a superb production is Jessie Ware What's your pleasure? An album with a 80s disco sound.
I dismissed the album initially and when eventually got around to listening to it I fucking loved it, probably my AOTY as far as replayability is concerned, extremely catchy and well produced.
See I was honestly kinda the opposite. I was excited to listen to it, and then I kinda was disappointed. Loved 4-5 of the tracks and the rest weren’t interesting to me
I love this Album, I’ve loved Dua Lipa since she started, and she’s improved on stage, and I’m not disappointed with her music at all, she’s a great artist
it‘s very race in pop music that each song on an album is a hit - i do not know how dua and her producers did that, but they did it and it‘s fucking amazing.
If we talking about dua lipa, that recent song "Fever" really good, and i think there she has a more raw voice production like you sad you wanna to hear

I'm a 20 year old college baseball player, I mostly listen to rap. I discovered Dua Lipa on August 28th, 2020. My spotify wrapped results came in yesterday. 4 of my top 5 songs were off Future Nostalgia. I had 67k minutes listened on Spotify this year, yet I had 4 Dua songs on my top 5 most listened to when I found her 9 months into 2020. So yeah, shes kinda been on repeat since then to say the least. "Idgaf" (😉) what anyone says, she's an amazing artist and just straight up makes great music.

Loved this. Some other really great female pop albums you could get into are: Beyoncé - Lemonade, or her self-titled album Ariana - Sweetener (my personal fave of hers) or Thank U, Next; both of these are 10x stronger than her latest album Rina Sawayama - her EP RINA. I see a lot of ppl recommending the SAWAYAMA album here but I personally thought her EP was a lot stronger overall. Rihanna - ANTI Charli XCX - Charli, or Pop 2 Jessie Ware - What’s Your Pleasure? Dua Lipa's disco vibes are IN and The Weeknd did the same for us. It truly shaped 2020 top 40. Incredible album. SO excited to see you enjoy it so much!

YES! I’m so glad you enjoyed the record. We should be getting a B-side next year. Before the end of the year PLEASE listen to What’s Your Pleasure by Jessie Ware (adult future nostalgia) and How I’m Feeling Now by Charli XCX. Both incredible pop records.

And Miley Cyrus too tbh
Miley too :)
Real ones know it was Carly Rae Jepsen who brought this sound back
Jessie Ware and Kylie Minogue
