This album gave me Rated R vibes. I loved Rated R cause it was a more dark and gritty yet raw era for her and she needed to have that album to close that chapter in her life. It also had unapologetic moments too and I loved the unapologetic album/era.

What an album this is. It is a crime that 25 and Lemonade took away its thunder. They were great albums but this is a whole other level in terms of sonics and longevity.
I generally see Rihanna as more of a singles artist than an album artist. But this is the one album of hers that I think is really great overall. I feel like the release of Anti, as well as Beyoncé’s self-titled album, in 2016 really lifted the bar for albums from huge pop stars.
