Another aspect of aircraft carriers that people don’t really think about is the American Helo carriers are not technically classified as aircraft carriers under that same statistic. With the marine F 35s, you can successfully launch those off of a Helo carrier. This just further is the point of how much the US emphasizes the aircraft carrier in our military doctrine.
The number of nations small and poor enough to not be able to sink an aircraft carrier is rapidly shrinking. Against any sizeable opponent (say Iran or North Korea) these things are just very expensive targets the US wont't dare to place within 1000km of the country it attacks, which renders them useless.
I honestly think that the Vietnamese military could benefit from using tunnel systems. It could really throw off enemy armies. Edit: Those tunnels would probably just cause minor inconvenience for soldiers. Same could probably be said for the booby-traps.

Appreciate you highlighting the Army's air components and how big they are. The Army also has a massive surface fleet of boats to (working with the Navy) carry Army infantry soldiers, armor, vehicles, and equipment across seas or littorals. In media, spec ops like Rangers, or even conventional units like Marines, get more attention than the Army or even Army infantry, but the Army is still the backbone of America's military might and does the bulk of the ground combat in any significant conflict.

The Chinese army has very less tanks, no aircraft, no artillery. But UN army had them 3. The Chinese army wore thin clothes in the winter and had insufficient food supplies. I believe that it is impossible to conquer Russia by conventional means. Germany came closest, but was defeated because they were outnumbered, and suffered from ramshackle logistics system. But unless you're prepared to use WMDs Russia will win in the end.
Germany had bigger numbers and good logistics at first. Later on, their numbers dropped and logistics fell apart because of lack of oil and too many different machine parts

I expected something more stereotypical, like, the Americans pouring another layer of napalm on top of the previous twenty or so layers of napalm (this is, of course, happening in the morning); the Germans goose-stepping over their enemies, leaving only ruins and concentration camps behind them; the Russians rushing to attack being shot in their backs by the penal battalions being shot in their back by the NKVD being shot in their backs by Stalin himself; the French immediately putting down their baguettes and surrendering to whomever... Let's be honest, During the Korean War,
1.compared with the Chinese army, 12 countries United Nations army had 30 years advanced weapons and 10 times the firepower and ammunition.
2. The Chinese army has very less tanks, no aircraft, no artillery. But UN army had them
3. The Chinese army wore thin clothes in the winter and had insufficient food supplies. Many soldiers died of freezing and starvation.
But China still win Korean War with death ratio 1.2 : 1 to UN army
ok i biased
a bit too much
Well not quite right, key thing is that China fielded 300k in a short time. After UN troops were already fighting north Koreans for 2 years.
China's initial purpose was to maintain the 38th parallel north. China warned the United States not to cross the 38th parallel enter North Korean, but the United States refused to listen and was pushed back at the Chinese border.
Vietnam War, China warned the United States not to enter North Vietnam, because of the lessons of the Korean War, this time the United States obeyed China's orders
So basically, the US can drop about 4 carriers and about 4000 aircraft, and we are STILL on top.
My tax payment would LOVE that.
Not for long. China is quickly catching up.

I believe that it is impossible to conquer Russia by conventional means. Germany came closest, but was defeated because they were outnumbered, and suffered from ramshackle logistics system. But unless you're prepared to use WMDs Russia will win in the end.
No they wont . Germany lost cause they were fighting multiple other nations and because hitler ignored his generals advice.
I heard it was more that hitler wanted to capture oil in Kiev and his army wanted to go for Moscow but hitler ultimately decided.(wrongly)
Germany had bigger numbers and good logistics at first. Later on, their numbers dropped and logistics fell apart because of lack of oil and too many different machine parts
