Hey guys just watched your ep and loved it. We worked at the Cape York Wilderness Lodge in 1991. We were travelling back then ourselves. We got approached while fishing on Seisia Jetty to work out there. Hubby worked in the kitchen and I was a waitress/housemaid and also worked in the shop. It was a great place to work and had heaps of fun times with all the other staff. It was pretty expensive to stay there, but definitely worth the experience 😁. Keep up the great work and safe travels 😊
Yep sad to see cause it is such an amazing part of Australia. Sad that no one will be able to experience it. It was only a short walk to the Tip and the fishing off the ledge behind the resort in our breaks was awesome. Hubby knew that stainless steel bench - the prep area…and also thought of all the dishes he’d washed there 😂
That steak was cooked to perfection. as a chef in a steakhouse for many years you’ve done a top notch job on that also great episode thanks for sharing your travels with us
I reckon a few drinks might've been had when that steak got put on the Weber?! 😂 Cheers guys....love your vids and never miss an ep. And of course, safe travels ✌️🍻
Ahhh Alau looks amazing!!! So sad we missed out on staying there with you guys. Will definitely be on our list for our next trip up there! The boys would have loved fishing off the rocks the whole time. 🤣
I had discovered your YT channel several weeks ago and loving every episode im watching. So been watching most of your old content. Im now using google earth pro to map the locations that you mention during this trip to see where you are on the map but i find the auto txt doesnt quite give the correct spelling of the locations you mention. eg: you gone from Punsands bay (if thats correct) (auto txt rapunzel bay) plus you in Umagico but auto txt says Yamagico. I know this is your holiday travels and might be asking to much but may be show a google map image of your location or screen print name of locations you mention. As said, loving this, rather than seeing heaverly modded 4X4 going up some track even i wouldnt take my ranger in.
Don't know if if would help but you could wrap your grey water pipe in earmarked tape (used to insulate air con pipes), it may help deflect the stones?
Yeah guys.. loving that you are back on the road…. How many weeks would you recommend you need from Bris Vegas and a fair amount of time of the tip? We are thinking 4 weeks
I class her as full off road, apart from piano hinges and a few other small fittings the main thing that determines a van as being off-road is the suspension, the simplicity axles suspension that we have is off road suspension and I’d be confident towing this thing anywhere any other similar size off road van would go 👍🏼
Hi guys, watched most of your videos but have missed anything you may have sed about the new tv dome antenna. Are there any good in in the real world Thanks JB
Yes you definitely could as a day trip! May is good because of less crowds but it comes down to how the wet season was each year to determine when places re open 👍🏼
Enjoyed your video because we did the exact same trip 8 weeks ago.... I note though that you stopped short of calling out Punsand Bay as the biggest confidence trick on the cape... Over priced rubbish with no facilities...$25/night per person another $25 if you want power and yet another $5 if you want wifi...no camp kitchen, absolute garbage shower/toilet block. A family of with 3 kids near us paid $100/ night unpowered .. its bordering on criminal.... That stream you drove through at the start. That had dried out and stopped running by the time we got there in October...But the hole in the middle was full on red mud and water up to the headlights on the Everest and after we went in had no choice but to power through. We had red mud everywhere. In the van door, all over the car bonnet... No warnings anywhere on how deep it is... What an A grade cluster f$ck.... Hope you had a great trip. We did after we left Punsand Bay and went back to Bamaga and Siesia van park....
Nice! Yes Punsand was expensive but we had a great time there with great company! I’m keen to do the cape later in the season to see how different it is!
And they want us to hand the country back to them, not racist or anything but perfect example of what happens around Australia and have seen it number of times.
Nice piece guys, thanks.
Cheers!
We loved loved Alau. Live the cape! 🥰
Such an amazing place!
Thanks guys for the entertainment. Been watching all you’re old episodes all day today 🤣🤣
Thanks so much for following along!

Sorry should have said Armaflex tape.
Thanks! Definitely something to look into doing!
Yeah guys.. loving that you are back on the road…. How many weeks would you recommend you need from Bris Vegas and a fair amount of time of the tip? We are thinking 4 weeks
Yeah 4 weeks would be great! 5 ish days up, a good 2 and a half weeks up there then 5 ish back!
Do you class Bertha as semi off road van
I class her as full off road, apart from piano hinges and a few other small fittings the main thing that determines a van as being off-road is the suspension, the simplicity axles suspension that we have is off road suspension and I’d be confident towing this thing anywhere any other similar size off road van would go 👍🏼
Top job on the T Bone🔥🔥🏆
You won’t find any English writing on all that plastic up on the 5 beaches run
It all drifts in from Indonesia 🤦♂️🤦♂️
Thanks mate!!
Yes it’s very unfortunate isn’t it!
Pool noodles around the pipes will stop them from breaking
Thank you!
Love ya videos. How did the Vantenna go ? Stefan
Thank you!
Vantenna is fantastic!
Hi guys, watched most of your videos but have missed anything you may have sed about the new tv dome antenna. Are there any good in in the real world Thanks JB
Hey mate!
We have been using it for a while now and it has been great! Good reception when it’s available and not more aiming towards towers!
Could you do the tip from Alau? And would you recommend going in May as opposed to a b/it later in the season?
Yes you definitely could as a day trip!
May is good because of less crowds but it comes down to how the wet season was each year to determine when places re open 👍🏼
I come in like a wrecking ball 🍺
😂
What was the price of a schooner at the Corrugation Bar? 😲
From memory it was around 8 or 9 bucks
@@nowornever_aus That's reasonable for a remote location.
Our thoughts exactly!
LIKE 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 💥 💢 💯 💢 💥 🤩🤩🤩

Never change OUR constitution for anyone especially a Politician.

I Agree
