They indeed sell kyber crystals for all colours, they have green, blue, purple, yellow, red, white, and a black kyber crystal i think, i'm not sure

Also the power and control lightsabers and elemental nature lightsabers look way cooler than they used to. Kinda bummed they took out the Rancor tooth, but it's also kinda cool they replaced it with a Bantha horn. Wish it was a little bigger bigger, though.

Yeah, I like the Bantha tusk too, but kinda sad when you factor in that the size means it had to have come from an infant Bantha :(
I got power and control but the older one and the new ones look so much better
The Elemental Nature ones in the drawer looked a bit plastic and cheap. Is that just how it comes across on camera?

I built my 1st one last month. Its definitely an expetience. A couple things I wish I would've known: 1st I didn't know you can look at the different scrap before you go in. Yeah I liked the spontaneous of it at the moment but just a quick glance beforehand would have been nice(trust me I love what I picked but anxiety kicked in during the build) and 2nd I didn't know you could bring someone in to record! My wife's not a star wars fan but after finding this out, she said she would've recorded me building it. I'm looking into either possibly getting a jaymoo blade in the future or just getting a whole new neopixel blade instead. I recommend it if you're any kind of star wars fan.
Awww man. I totally know how you feel! Our first time I was scrambling to decide which parts to pick, and I had propped the camera up behind me on a crate, so you could only see my back ha ha ha and also my wife is not really a big Star Wars fan, so I guess we have a lot in common lol
Definitely highly recommended the Jaymoo blade!! It is worth every penny if you are going to start getting Legacy/Savi sabers. I just got my first 2 neopixel blades and it is night and day. Enjoy your saber! Darkside rules! Lol

Now I kind of wish I went now. The elemental nature looks cooler now. I probably won't be able to go back, but I still love the saber I built. Specially with the rancor tooth. Glad they updated the pieces, but hopefully they can maybe put some of the old pieces on sale as a special "extras" to purchase for more custom options. I imagine if they did that they would probably charge 80-100 for the additional set.

I am a little mad they change the parts. I wanted the old protection and justice (the republic lightsaber) because I like the angled emitter on it along with the Anakin handgrip. Now if I go to Disney I got to rethink my choices.
That build was so clean

I built mine yesterday and I happy with the result and the experience was dope. Only issues I have are that my blade is dirty and it seems to be from within the plastic so I can’t clean it :/ also the sheath breaks wayyy too easy I went to take off the tag with force and it got torn open without me even pulling too hard.
I get to do this in February and I’m so excited for it, I have a darth maul lightsaber I got from books a million as a kid and I finally will get another one

Same. I was there on Feb. 2. He was the one who suggested me to get either white or yellow crystal instead of 4 colors they provide on the experience. Which it was great and felt more special on the experience.
I’m going to be making one on Wednesday October 11 2023. It’s going to be blue initially but will have extra kyber crystals, with the power build. I gotta get the spiky emitter.

I wish galaxies edge made a wall mount with all the lights and add-ons for the Khyber crystal they just have ones to mount on the table or desk, and I think it would look better on a wall

Out of curiosity would I be able to bring my yellow kyber crystal I purchased in the past and use it for my new build? Or do I have to use the crystal I choose right then and there? I don’t want to upset the cast if it isn’t the standard red, blue, green, or purple when we all ignite our sabers.
I’m taking my son in March. He wants to build a droid afterwards. About how long do you think we need from the light sable starting time to finish?

Going at the end of February. Was scared that it still didn't include the bag with the saber(heard something about that no longer being included) but look like they still are! Makes me happy cuz my friend has one already and I really like the bag for some reason.
As the one who did the savi experience 2 days ago, I can assure you that they give a bag after the experience.
I was about to say they kind of need to get you the sheath bag for protection. Specially carrying it. I just wish they would have told us you can mail out the sabers to your home at the Disneyland Mail Office. Was kind of annoying to bring with me on a plane. XD

my favorite star wars character is grievous and now i really want to go there in a cosplay while already having some saber and talk rude about yoda and talk about my collection (i wouldn't interrupt the show tho)
yooooooo i was there like 2 weeks ago! gotta say that the best part for me apart from yoda talking and the first time you ignite the saber its knowing that YOU built it, that its YOUR lightsaber, that NO ONE ELSE has it (of course there is probabilty that someone in the world made the same combination but which are the chances to find them?)

I'm going to Disney for grad night and I am looking to buy a saber and I know the rules and stuff change in galaxy edge and it's cool to know there was changes to the saber scrap metal but do I have to book a appointment for a saber?
I just went to Disneyland yesterday and now we're going to California Adventure and I made a lightsaber at savis work shop
When I went on Dec 7th I was about to build one and the one I had had the new parts and I was about to pay a deal cuz I found out that literally the week after I went the prices went up by like 50$
is this only in Cali still or have they brought them to orlando? i'm going in March and the wife and I are going to build one each

You need to review The Sims 4: Journey To Batuu expansion pack. It's an exact copy of Disney's Galaxy Edge but simmified. However, you have Oga's tavern, savi's worshop where you can buy hilts and crystals... and the goal is to either join the resistance or the first order and go up their ranks... and if you don't feel like taking sides you can always join Hondo Ohnaka and become a pirate :)

Great video and very informative! Just one question, how can I make sure I get the look of the handle that you had and not another version? Is it dependent on which color you choose of crystal or is it just random?
you.choose ahead of time what set of parts you want thats why they have the stand out front with the parts he chose power and control but you.can still.choose any crystal you want

I've read that if you go to Dock Ondar's and ask to buy scrap metal, they'll show you some leftover pieces
On a personal note, i always thought i was a red sabered type. But i really looked deep inside myself and said "wait...but why? Im not a bad person. Im not a 'control all and enslave all' type of person." So i chose BLUE and felt more "ONE" with it. To this day, i still love my Jedi Temple Guard style blue lightsaber and ive had it for years.
With these new pieces, i think ill be able to get my red saber.

i feel as if they would easily break, aside from unscrewing everything off, the part that displays the saber seems fragile and sort of just popped right on there which means it can probably pop right off
It rotates and locks nicely. I swing mine around with a good amount of force
The quality control is also really poor, the parts don’t really line up so they look mismatched even when they’re from the same set

I have one question how big are the blades for these I know you have a few different options online when ordering for the Legacy sabers but I’m confused which size they give for the workshop experience.
so the Savi's Workshop blades are 31' inches and then you can also buy separately 26' and 36' blades elsewhere

They weren’t joking about the spiked emitter being too powerful they said the same line to me but instead we had to ask for the spiked emitter afterwards and they did not warn me about taking it off before putting it in the sheath it tore right through ☠️

Do you mix and match the parts or it's just a model you choose beforehand ?
you can but alot of times it can be frustrating as you may or may not run into issues where certain pieces wont fit snuggly as they should.
While the lightsaber isn't as good as some of the other notable brands out it's the experience of building one is what some reviewers don't get.
I wish I was told the admitted wouldn’t fit. I learned the hard way and ripped my bag but I got it on the plane home

Funnily enough, lot of the original parts were ripped straight from Jedi: Fallen Order. You used to basically be able to test out combinations in the game, which I think was rather cool.
This is definitely a 1 time experience. Because I would pay do it it the second time.
I have been battling stage four colon cancer since 2018. Unfortunately, I have an u known cancer gene, which basically keeps reproducing tumors like a factory. Chemo and radiation seem to work and make them go away, but then a few months later, new knee appear. Once I am well enough to travel, it is my dream to go and build a lightsabers. Been a Star Wars fan since the 80s and had a massive collection, but sadly, I had to sell it off the last years to pay for medical bills. Still have some pieces that I could not part with. Loving the new sights at the Disney Star Wars are. Hope to be down there soon.
