this is an ftx carnage (vrx) isn't it? with metal top deck as default is nice. i have the v1 ftx bugsta and vantage 2.0. the default non-adjustable servo saver with the clip at the top is terrible though, gonna upgrade them on all my vrx chassis cars
@@customtoyrevolution there's a couple of companies that make metal parts for them I think, since FTX are pretty massive on the uk scene, and pretty common here in australia too, so you're not limited to sourcing from China
Part of the fun in this budget RC is actually bashing it until it breaks, researching cheaper aluminum/carbon fiber up-grades and hop-ups, installing the new parts and bringing your RC investment back from the DEAD - like a PHEONIX that has RISEN !!! And then......rinse, wash, and repeat. Also, the VRX Sword XXL and the FTX Carnage appear to have the same manufacturer (River Hobby?) - so look for those to save big $$$.
@@customtoyrevolution Ran mine 3s, fast as all get out! I've had to replace the front suspension arms and holders, and the front knuckle arms so far. But, hey, that's part of the hobby and now those parts are aluminum and should last a lot longer : )

You don't have to used carbon fiber chip like I do, you can use expired credit card or something similar to reinforce it. I will have a tear down video with upgrade tips coming soon
Hey man, appreciate the video. It helped me make my decision on getting it and also picking up for $106.00. Didn’t hurt. The past three months I have been RC crazy and I have ended up with seven out of all of them from racers to basher to monster trucks. This one is my favorite to drive. It might help a little bit knowing that it is so fragile that I have to drive with care well at the same time, pushing it to the limits, this thing is a beast 3s. Every time I take it out, a crowd starts to form to watch it rip around with the most modest little jumps. I already have suspension rod holders, and an arms and shock towers made of fiberglass which I will be layering up with my extra pair of plastic ones that came with truck. I’ll let you know how it works out. Might even do my own video. I hope legendary can keep it up. I have already bought the sonic for my son hoping he catches the Rc bug to.
Happy story, nice. It actual doesn't take a lot to reinforce this big boy. I am going with carbon fiber but might take a while before I can get to it, too busy at the moment. I do have a very nice repainted body for it and will make you jealous
Great video brother 👍 Mine will be here tomorrow, looking forward to soon budget bashing! Looks like more fun than my Traxxas slash 2wd, and more durable, test video will be coming soon! Thanks for the review
@customtoyrevolution Got it yesterday, didn't really beat the crap out of it yet, and hopefully my plug adapter shows up today, very impressed with it 👍 Already looking up the parts, I've had the RC sickness since around 1986 😆 But, I gotta say, I think I like it more than my Brushless Slash 2wd, great handling, Brushless, 114$ WTF? I've had thousands in rc cars! And this budget basher is more fun! And 114$ It's funny how this hobby works, first rc car, in 1986 (I was 11) was a 65$ (Car only) Rockbuster and a Challenger 2 remote, and probably the worst nicad charger ever made, that old brown box 📦 with a ticking timer! And thousands of dollars in between, now this car 114$ , I'm not even allowed in the hobby store, I banded myself, and there's one across the street lol 😆 definitely going to be videos coming, on my UA-cam channel and Instagram @frankrubicon_ and you know hop up parts are coming!
I have the truggy Laegendary Thunder and I think if you would have had the wheelie bar on it, it probably wouldn't have broken so easily. Thanks for the video and info!
I understand that and I've taken a few jumps with mine but have been very careful. Lol. My wife and I have the X-O7 and X-O8. They are smaller but really durable. I need to get some videos up. I'm trying to learn how to drive one handed and that's a tough one to do. 😂 Awesome video that you have. Lots of info. Thanks man!
Amazon now has it at $125, how is what looks like a very decent 1:10 that cheap?? I ordered it when it was like $146, is this really a regularly $250usd RC? Doesnt seem as strong or beefy as other 1:10 that look made for bashing and crazy jumps but those start way higher in price, at least closer to $200 or more, easy, this one even has a brand ESC that supports programming, what am i missing here? Is Amazon getting rid of them for some reason i dont know? There are very few videos about this truck (or truggy version) but it looks quite decent, it wont hold 15-20ft jumps but that might not be what its made to do, yet seems fast AF and crazy good for some light bashing, all for $125...crazy good deal.
U can get a metal chassis for it and up grade the weak point to make it a really durable Truck mine will be here Saturday I ordered the metal chassis arms and shock towers
@@da6thmane094 hey, did you ordered those parts from Aliexpress? im kind of making a wish list for the parts that i think might break first and order in metal, it came with a few spares tho, rear and front lower arms, 2 of the upper arms tie rods, body posts replacements (not the shock towers), and a main gear replacement, it all looks decent, i gave it a test drive in my driveway and its SOLID and feels fast enough on 2S, 3S might not be needed for the time being.
I am surprised for what you get. This brand is not known and hence often on sale, but once their sales go up, so is the price. After adding carbon support on the broken shock tower, this truck has not fail yet. I've been doing 5 ft tall jumps like in the video, crash after crashes. It really is a hidden gem. I would caution on using metal parts, especially moving parts, I would stay away.

Great video sir. Love your content. Not a bad car apart from that weak shock tower. Have you owned any Absima cars? They from Germany but I think they rebranded Chinese cars.
Thanks. I guess VRX racing, FTX, and LAEGENDARY are the same with a few tweaks. Namely the chassis (no motor hole), metal top deck, and the stronger front bumper, beside the body
@customtoyrevolution My fiance ordered it as a surprise for my birthday, and I'm like the least tech savvy person on earth! I've never even sent a email, but thanks for the tip, cause I'm definitely ordering another one! If not just for the electronics and spare parts, this budget basher is fun as fk! Wanna get my brother one, I still owe him a RC Car since I used his Tamiya Blackfoot to fix my Frog!
I'll post an upgrade video to make this car a solid contender, but before that, I had run it on tracks and pit it against the Arrma Typhon 3S, wait for my video, nothing broken, fingercrossed. I am thinking they design this car for tracks and not bashing

i haven't looked at the new carnage, it could have a few of those new features too like the receiver box
overall i've been a bit disappointed in the metal parts prices for these vrx designs. hsp is a lot cheaper and pretty similar

Some Brillo fibers work good for the plastic welding . Melts right into the plastic
