@@windshieldwiperlaugh2802 there's a new Flex2 Alpha in the US, that retails for $850 for the base model. And $1,050 for the upgraded model. This Flex Alpha is being sold for $850 retail price, and $680 at Samsungs website for educational customers, but you can get that same deal on the Flex2 Alpha, or it's very close at least. And if you want to check out the newer model that recently dropped (it's virtually the same, but with a new processor) check out my recent videos, the last 2 videos I did were on this laptop
I just ordered it for 599.00 did I make a good choice? I originally bought an hp and a samsung galaxy book go and the screen was absolutely horrible on both. I originally didn't want to spend more 300 but was looking for something that would last long. Is yours still going good?
I got this the other day and I am blown away by the display first of all... couldn't be happier with the performance and overall quality of this laptop... Samsung hit this out the park 👌
I recently had an issue with the Flex A, but my own damn fault. Had a work webinar, needed to convert an EPub file to a PDF. Long story short adware infected, during removal of software, samsung flex hung, screen went black wouldn't turn on. Samsung support said box it up and send it to them (New Jersey based engineers), shipped it, and it was QUICK! They did a diagnostic, shipped it back and said nothing wrong with it, but regardless, working great now. Support was top notch, miles better than Dell and HP.
This laptop is on sale right now guys at Best Buy! $650! Just got it. The charging brick is the only thing i don’t like. I feel like in 2021 no laptops should use it anymore IMO. My MacBook spoiled me with the usbc charging.
Yep. That definitely stinks. In the description I have a charger that works for it that's like $20 and from a reputable company. other laptops with this type of screen are normally a lot more expensive. So it's a good compromise to make. But yeah it definitely stinks
Great review. I have the older i5 version of this from 2016. Just purchased the i7/12 gb version for 799 at Best Buy. They even had some open boxes from about 650. Picking it up in about an hour.
It's a really good deal... There are computers like the Yoga 6 for like $550. The build quality will be worse in a computer like that, much worse. The keyboard is worse, the screen goes to 300 nits while this Samsung goes up to 600 nits. The Samsung has a qled screen while most other laptops have a normal ips screen at this price. Sure, the 11th gen processors are better, or the Ryzen processors, but I haven't discerned any big noticeable difference between them. The 11th gen i7 will be very fast.. It's a really good option for that price! I wish it had usb c charging and wish the hinge was a little sturdier, but it's one of the lightest laptops with great performance and a really great screen
@@AndroidDigest I definitely wish it had USB charging, almost went for the Galaxy Flex just for it but after reading reviews & seeing how awful the speakers were on the Flex I made the smart choice, Flex 13.3 isnt $500 better than the Alpha. Did consider the XPS 13..
@@KeepYourSWORDInYourHand xps 13 is really good... But like you said... Is it that much better? In the description I have a link to a charger for only $20. If a spare charger costs $20 why pay $400 or more for usb c charging? At that point it's not worth it. You could go to something like the Yoga 6 but then you will be getting a plastic build, with a worse keyboard, and less ram, oh and only 300 nits on the screen. Admittedly I eventually returned my Alpha, I didn't feel like the hinge was super sturdy. But I regretted it, because I tried every laptop around the price range and there was always a compromise. I've got the Yoga 6 now. And I can live with my choice because it is a little faster, and it was cheaper, and has usb c charging, but the build quality isn't close to the alpha. And the screen only gets HALF as bright. I can live with it, but I really do miss my Flex Alpha
@@AndroidDigest Ahh, I see. I'm no power user, since my machine arrived its been powered on 3X, including the initial start up. I tested the hinge because I read it was weak but I couldn't make it play as much as the reviews had led on, its not wobbly by any means, not sure it will stay super tight but again at $799.99 + tax I feel its worth every penny. It's also cheap enough that I could maybe possibly justify spending $1200 on some better in 12 - 24 months...
@@AndroidDigest I have been unable to find a decent price laptop with a good screen. I initially bought an hp with 8gb and 256gb and the Samsung galaxy book go and I returned both because I couldn't get past the TERRIBLE screen. If a computer has a bad screen I will end up not even using it. I almost bought a chrombook but I want to be able to do light video editing and I know a chrombook can't do that. I'm glad hearing you say you miss the alpha because I've been on the fence. I originally was going to spend around 300 but then I discovered the Samsung galaxy flex alpha 2 at best buy for 599.00 right now and I ordered it. I get it Friday
@@xutiantodd not exactly, it's got an extra discount for those who are college students, it's an insane steal at that price though for college students, but it pretty much sells out right away at that price. And not available to everyone
@@xutiantodd it was in stock an hour ago and already sold out.. either way this guy stilln got it for $650 which is really solid. It's going for around that price new online pretty much everywhere
I can't believe it has been 3 years since I've got this laptop, it has been phenomenal for me with no problems at all. I am still on Windows 10 but I guess now might be the right time to upgrade to Windows 11. Hopefully will it perform like a champ after the upgrade.
I just bought one. The fact that it won’t charge via usb c kinda pisses me off because the barrel plug is really skinny and feels flimsy and easily broken
It's great isn't it? To be honest, I got rid of this laptop, and went back to it just because the screen is so good! I don't know any laptops under $1,000 with this good of a screen! The Flex Alpha is a 13.3 inch laptop. So any 13.3 inch sleeve should work and be pretty snug. The one below has a ton of colors. I normally just get full on laptop bags, but the reviews seem pretty solid on this one amzn.to/3qG5P68
It depends. I know the dell has lower screen brightness, and a worse quality display. It's also going to be much heavier. But if you get the dell with a ryzen 4700 processor, it's going to be much faster. That's a powerful machine! In reality though this computer is more then powerful enough. So for me I'd prefer the way better display. But to truly give a good comparison I'd need to know what model you are looking at, what the prices are, and what your looking for in a laptop
@@reinacolobong2165 again I would need to know the specific specs. But if you're referring to the Dell with a Ryzen 4700 processor, that is much better for gaming. It won't be perfect, but it should be able to play older games on decent settings or some newer ones on lighter settings
Hi everyone, I have Asus Vivobook laptop and I am really happy with it. But it has two problems;1) The charger is REALLY huge 2) the laptop is a little heavy. As a student, I use applications like MATLAB, AUTOCAD, SOLIDWORKS and the daily usage for studying or listening music or web searching. Now I just wanted to ask if Samsung laptops can meet my needs. Thank you in advance 🤗
If you want to see how big the charger is I have a link to it in the description, to another brand of a charger that you can buy. This laptop is definitely extremely lightweight.. it's 2.6 lbs
@@AndroidDigest thank you a milion🤩 next time I'll buy galaxy book. But which one would you recommend for me? I mean ION or flex? Are they both powerful?
I was wondering if anyone could offer some more input on the quality of the webcam. I noticed during the review it kinda dimmed down and then up a few times. Is that common/normal or just a lighting issue? Thanks!
Let me add that I recorded this right before 2021, and I rarely do laptops! But since I recorded this we are seeing a lot of 11th gen processors and a lot of Ryzen Laptops go on sale. 11th gen i5 and i7 processors will perform better then this laptop, and so will computers with Ryzen 4500u or 4700u processors. But most of those laptops won't have a qled screen or a 600 nit screen. And this Samsung laptop is still great for your average consumer as far as performance. So your job will be to compare prices and ask what you want. Do I want usb c charging and a faster processor? Or do I want a qled screen and a premium build with good performance? An example of this is the Lenovo Yoga 6, which has been on sale for around $600. Sure it's faster, but the keyboard and the build quality aren't as good, and the screen only gets to 280 nits rather then 600. If you prefer usb c charging, and you want better performance, you may want to get the Lenovo Yoga 6. But if you want a better overall package with better build quality and a better screen, the Samsung may be your best option. Hopefully this helps you make a decision!
@@samuel99813 well price is an important part of this. The m1 is not only faster then an i7 processor but it's even faster then an i9 processor... It's faster and the macbook will have better battery life too. But it won't have touch screen, and it will be more expensive.. This also has a qled screen which is pretty nice
Okay so a few things: and by that, I mean a lot. I'mma write you a novel of thoughts to try to help you sort all this out Assuming you are looking at the similarly speced models: The Lenovo and this should both have the same 10th gen processors, the same ram, the same pretty much everything as far as performance. So let's talk the pros and cons: For the Lenovo 1: The Lenovo has a larger screen. 1 inch larger. 2: The Lenovo has usb-c charging. This can be a big deal, because you can use your laptop charger on your phone, and SOMETIMES vice versa if your other chargers at home are powerful enough. 3: The speakers are front firing, good for using it in Laptop mode. For the Galaxy: 1: The Galaxy is lighter, by quite a bit. 2: The Galaxy has a much higher brightness on the screen. The Lenovo is either 250 or 300 nits. The Galaxy goes to 400, with a special 600 nit outdoor mode, it can get very bright. 3: The Galaxy also has a higher quality screen. It's QLED. It looks great. 4: I'd argue the Galaxy probably feels ever so slightly more premium. Not by much. But ever so slightly. Battery life will be nearly the same. Build quality is very close to the same. Speed will be very close to the same. So you have to ask yourself what do you value? If you value a larger screen, with usb c charging, and $150 in your pocket, you will get the same performance from the c740. The screen isn't BAD quality on the Lenovo, it's good quality, and many people can use it at 75% brightness and still enjoy it. So if you want to save some money, and get some added flexibility with usb c charging, this is a great option. It also has a sturdier hinge. If you get the Galaxy Flex Alpha, it's because you want a lighter more portable model, with the same specs but a gorgeous screen. Sometimes you pay more for the little things, the screen is REALLY good quality. 400 nits of brightness and qled on the screen make the display fantastic, and it's lighter. Your pretty much paying the extra $150 for a better quality display. And a lighter device. But technically, you may prefer a larger screen, or you may prefer usb c charging (I like to use my laptop chargers on my phone, it's convenient). It really depends on if your willing to shell out for the screen, but also if the drawbacks are a big deal to you as well. On a side note, I'll be selling two new models of this laptop on eBay shortly. For about $590 each. I was about to snag a deal through Samsung. In the US, the i5 model normally goes on sale for about $650. But they did a special sale for students only to bring it down to $390. So I was able to get it for a great deal, and now I'm planning to resale. It's not on sale anymore through samsung Good news is people will save about $60 compared to Best Buy buying from me. If you are in the US feel free to let me know if your interested. Realistically though. You have to make a decision on what you value. I've tried the c740 and this, both are great devices. Originally when I got this flex alpha, I was annoyed that the hinge wasn't as sturdy as the c740. It's a little looser, mainly because it's so light! But then I tried a Yoga 6, similar brightness to the C740, and I did miss the gorgeous Samsung screen. Every device has minor drawbacks. Gotta find what's most important to you
@@AndroidDigest Thanks for the detailed response. I don't need much power. Build, screen keyboard and overall design is the main thing. C charging is big, but both lacking ⚡ ports which would be a game changer. Well, can't get too picky for 500-550 usd. Being 50$ apart doesn't make it easy
@@november_charlie_84 no. There may be a version that has LTE, but the base model of both have wifi only. When you are buying the device, it should specify if it comes with LTE or not. If it doesn't specify it's probably the wifi only version
@@AndroidDigest interesting. Well Samsung customer support told me today that both the Galaxy Book Flex and the Flex Alpha models have LTE capabilities and I would just be able to insert a SIM card into it. I ordered one based on that information, I guess I will find out when it gets here 🤷🏻♂️
Hello! Great vid and review! I’m currently deciding between this laptop, the Dell xps 13 9350 (or one of the new ones?), a MacBook Air, and the Samsung Galaxy Book pro (aka the sibling of that one). I’m a student and would like to carry it around, have it boot up fast, and do gaming/ digital art. I also prefer usb c charging (although it won’t be that big of a problem) and a touch screen. In your opinion, what do you think would be best for me? Thank you!
That's a tough call. For one, there is a new Flex2 Alpha (I reviewed it more recently). This is the original Flex Alpha. This question is excellently extremely complicated. It really depends on what type of gaming and digital art. Macs have never been good with gaming, but the M1 MacBook is also more powerful and has better battery life then most windows laptops. On the other end, the macbook won't have stylus support or touchscreen, which can be really beneficial for digital art, assuming you may want a stylus. So it really depends: 1: What operating system do you prefer? 2: Do you want to do light gaming or intense gaming (newer games that need high graphics) 3: Do you want a better value or a better device? The Galaxy Book Pro x360 is better then the Flex2 Alpha. But it could cost you hundreds more. They are the same speed, but the Galaxy book will have better battery life. 4: How important is battery life to you? The range of devices you are considering, they are all over the place. So I'd need to know more to help
@@AndroidDigest Thank you for responding! I'll admit, I wasn't sure what I was looking for too much but those devices seem like they had good specs and were at a budget I could afford at the moment. I'll answer your questions now: 1. I'm leaning towards Windows I'm transitioning from a chromebook, mostly because I can't use the programs I want without difficulty. I like the look of Windows and it can run programs that aren't really doable on chromebook (i.e. Photoshop, Clip Studio...). 2. I'm not entirely sure what constitutes as light/heavy games, but I'll say it's light to mid. I would like to play Genshin and a few other games with similar to lower quality than it daily. They all took a lot of storage in my current device (and one I had to use my phone for) 3. Probably a better device. I'm hoping it'll last me at least 4-5 years until I hunt for an even better model that has come out in that time. But overall, whatever fits my budget of around 1k-1.5k Usd 4. Probably one of my main factors along with specs. I'll be on the go most days I use it so I'm looking for at least 8-10 hours of battery life As for some additional notes, I'm fine if the laptop doesn't come with the stylus. They're usually pretty weak in terms of drawing (or at least in my experience) and I use a separate tablet to draw. Also if you do have any other recommendations than the devices I listed, let me know! Thank you once again for offering to help!
@@jacklynn.7150 My recommendation would probably be the Galaxy Book pro 360, assuming you want touch screen, or the regular book pro if you don't. The flex 2 Alpha is great but the battery life is average. It also doesn't charge with USB-C. Samsung has a lot of great student deals on their website, All you have to do is have your main account email be a.edu email, I think that's the only requirement, and when I signed up I didn't have to do any other form of verification. I think that's one of the big differentiating factors. I think you would do great with XPS or with the Book pro, and both are going to have minor differences but both will have similar speeds and performance and all of that stuff. The XPS may have a slightly brighter screen, but the Samsung also has a lot of perks too, and when you factor in all the extra discounts I think you'll be able to get on the Samsung, I think it will be your best bet. The Flex2 alpha is closed but the battery life is going to be worse. It's okay, but it's 54 wh in the Flex2 vs 63 wh in the book pro x360. If you find a good deal on the Dell though, That's great too. Just keep in mind that there are older Dell XPS models with older 10th gen processors and worse battery life. So you want to make sure to compare apples to apples when looking at prices.
@@jacklynn.7150 Money is always apart of it though, I'm selling my i7 flex2 alpha (to allow me to buy more items to review) for $780 on ebay. A little worse battery life may be worth if it ends up being half the price. It's got the same performance. 16gb of RAM, etc. But if you are wanting the best between $1,000 and $1,500 I recommend the Pro or the XPS. Both will do great! I'd stick with windows too! No need to buy an os you don't like when you have great options with windows
Hi thanks for the Review şt was excellent! But I have one concern after some use does the laptops flexible Screen part like hang down when you pick it up, like the hinge, I only have this concern in mind, I might buy this laptops in about 2 months so I need to know, Thanks Again! 👏🏼
I haven't noticed any issues stuff the hinge wearing down or anything like that. By the way, don't forget that the Flex2 Alpha is now available (this is the original Flex Alpha). Just a heads up there. But no I'm not noticing any wearing down of the hinge
I wanted a better screen than the 45% NTSC. I've read QLED is actually another type of LCD screen technology. What do you think of this screen versus the OLED on the HP Envy X360? I'm thinking the 9nly downside of OLED is lower maximum brightness.
Honestly it's a tough call. I will say the Flex2 Alpha is out, so keep that in mind. But I felt the screen quality was really good and that the colors looked great on both the Flex2 and this device. It's going to be a step down from oled but still these qled panels look great in my opinion. I think it really depends on the cost difference and what else your getting for the cost. OLED is maybe worth an extra $100, but I wouldn't pay an extra $500 for a laptop with no extra features except OLED. I love the screen on these flex alphas, and maybe it's because I've used a lot of $600 laptops with 1080p panels with no qled, but man they look so good imo. But it's really hard to compare to another laptop without knowing every single spec difference and the price difference too. But I hope this comment still helps you
@@jhkim4270 yes it can. I've got a link to one in the description. They go by a lot of names, there are a lot of models. wacom bamboo ink, wacom bamboo ink plus, any pen meant to work with windows should work with it, wacom bamboo pens are pens a lot of people normally like though
Here's just a few quick thoughts: I bought the Lenovo Yoga 7i to compare to this. The i-5 model of the 7i is faster than this, there's a model with 12 GB of RAM and a 512gb ssd and at one point it went on sale as low as $650. it came with thunderbolt ports which is a big bonus. But it only had a 300 nit screen. So not as good. That laptop is 14 inches, the one that I tested. But I had one glaring flaw that makes me prefer the Samsung: when I type really really fast and my pinky hits the left corner of the enter key for some reason it would make a weird clicking and snapping sound. I don't need a qled screen and I don't need 600 nits of brightness so I was actually leaning towards the yoga 7i due to better performance and also because it charges with usb-c. Then I tested the Lenovo Yoga 6 which I may review soon. It has a worst plasticy build. The best buy model only comes with 8 GB of RAM, but the AMD processor is also faster than this galaxy book flex. But the screen only gets about 280 nits of brightness, the keyboard is not very good, and the speakers were worse. Along with loud fan noise. The Yoga 9i is supposed to have better build quality then the 7i or 6. And a better keyboard then the 6 because it won't be made of plastic. The 9i charges with USB type-c. Has a much bigger battery than this, even an i5 11th gen is faster than the i7 from last gen. So it will be faster. It will also have a decently increased battery size.. But it's also crazily expensive. It was like $1,300 for the worst model last I checked. You really have to ask yourself what price bracket you are in. The i7 model of this alpha laptop goes on sale for like $800 very frequently. Compared to the $1,300 yoga 9i there's no comparison in value and this is definitely a better buy. If you decide to look around $800 or less, you have to ask yourself, do you value a little extra performance or a better screen? For your average person this will do great performance-wise. But if you want to do some light gaming you may prefer the extra performance boost. If that's you you may want to consider the yoga 7i. As long as you could live with a screen with less brightness, if frequently goes on sale at Best buy, and you could get an i7 from next gen, with better graphics, usb c charging, etc. As long as you type like a normal person. Every once in awhile when I was typing and I hit the corner of the key on the 7i it made that little snapping sound and for whatever reason that annoyed me like crazy, but when I hit the enter button I often hit the corner of the key rather than in the center. It's possible I had a defective model anyway. I also meant to say that weight is definitely a factor too. This laptop is very very lightweight compared to other competitors. That does make the hinge wobble a little bit more than others. But that is what it is.
@@AndroidDigest Thank you so much for taking your time to explain me everything on details. I really really appreciate it 😊😊😊 You deserve millions of subscribers!
No. It will get warmer if you do that though. If you plan to use it all the time while plugged in I would probably just recommend getting a desktop.. You can normally get a better value if you buy a desktop that stays plugged into the wall. But it's not a problem to use it off and on while charging. I do it fairly regularly myself
I didn't think the fan was loud. One heard much louder! And yes of course, any usb mouse or bluetooth mouse should work. Check out any links in the description too, I think some sales are still going on

i bought mine through best buy on their open box section. Fortunately for me I had purchased mine online and when I got there to pick it up they gave me the wrong laptop so since the one I bought went missing or was mistakenly given to someone else, they just gave me a brand new one at no extra charge but I most def recommend purchasing an open box one since they are literally brand new too just that people return them for whatever reason
@@germansegovia290 I love it too! Touch screen is nice, really nice display, good performance, and I really like the keyboard too! I'm glad your enjoying it!
@@germansegovia290 In your case it's not all that unfortunate 👍. That's awesome. What I found is that Best Buy open boxes are amazing and they are almost always returns. But you do need to keep an eye out for devices that are about 1-year-old. At about one year they started taking down all of their display models of a particular laptop. I've bought multiple tablets that had screen burn in from the demos they had on the screen. If a device has been out 6 months or less, You can get an amazing deal, and you can ensure that the device hasn't been used as a demo since their demos are still up. And a really cool thing about open box laptops, Is that you can wait for a device to go on sale extremely cheap, And even if it's cheaper than anywhere else, they will still normally give you another $100 off for an open box model. So I've gotten laptops that retail for $850 for like $400. Open box is an amazing way to go
I just bought the i5 Alpha 2 at Best Buy last week for 550.00..I can’t get the backlit keys to stay on…they come on and a couple of seconds go off…do you know why?
They are set to automatically turn off when not in use. There is an app called Samsung settings. If you open it, there is an open to change this in those settings
The original Flex or the Flex2? It's pretty thin so it can get warm depending on what you're doing. And if you use it while plugged in, that is a recipe for some heat, especially day 1 (remember the computer is updating and doing a lot day 1). Also, I would turn it from performance mode to one step down. I had some minor heat off and on but nothing major after the first few days and with some tweaks. But yeah. It doesn't have the battery life that some newer "evo certified" laptops have

I understand what you mean... You really want to protect it. Most laptops don't have specific cases, because the case of the laptop itself already protects the screen. There are a lot of genetic laptop sleeves you can get to carry it around in to protect it. But if you go to the store I think your going to find a similar thing with nearly every laptop. Normal laptops don't really come with much of anything for case options

@@avanishgupta2373 so I haven't used adobe pro. But I know it will work great with photoshop, I use a sister program of sony vegas (movie studio) and it worked great for 1080p clips on video editing. Realistically this should edit 1080p footage just fine. Something with an 11th gen intel processor or something with a ryzen 4500u or 4700u would be a LITTLE bit better, since the newer processors are a little more powerful, but to get a laptop with those internals, 12gb of ram, and a 600nit screen, it's going to be hard to find. I have this laptop and it's great love it, thanks for the review.
Great to hear! Glad it's working good now!
That's awesome. Congrats. It's a great device! So good that when I left it I purchased it again!
Review was excellent, literally completed my order while watching your review, $799.99 I think it's a steal, with the i7 & 12gig, wouldn't you agree?
I normally just get full on laptop bags, but the reviews seem pretty solid on this one

Samsung galaxy flex a Vs. Dell inspiron 14 7000 Which is better?
It depends. I know the dell has lower screen brightness, and a worse quality display. It's also going to be much heavier. But if you get the dell with a ryzen 4700 processor, it's going to be much faster. That's a powerful machine! In reality though this computer is more then powerful enough. @@reinacolobong2165 again I would need to know the specific specs. But if you're referring to the Dell with a Ryzen 4700 processor, that is much better for gaming. It won't be perfect, but it should be able to play older games on decent settings or some newer ones on lighter settings

Does it work with Cricut and cricut design space!!?
Hi, how does this fare to a base model MacBook Air m1?
@@samuel99813 well price is an important part of this. The m1 is not only faster then an i7 processor but it's even faster then an i9 processor... It's faster and the macbook will have better battery life too. But it won't have touch screen, and it will be more expensive.. This also has a qled screen which is pretty nice
Great review, thanks! Would you recommend this one over c740 14" if the Lenovo is 150$-100$ cheaper for my location? For casual daily use
Okay so a few things: and by that, I mean a lot. I'mma write you a novel of thoughts to try to help you sort all this out
Assuming you are looking at the similarly speced models:
The Lenovo and this should both have the same 10th gen processors, the same ram, the same pretty much everything as far as performance.
So let's talk the pros and cons:
For the Lenovo
1: The Lenovo has a larger screen. 1 inch larger.
2: The Lenovo has usb-c charging. This can be a big deal, because you can use your laptop charger on your phone, and SOMETIMES vice versa if your other chargers at home are powerful enough.
3: The speakers are front firing, good for using it in Laptop mode.
For the Galaxy:
1: The Galaxy is lighter, by quite a bit.
@@AndroidDigest It’s my understanding that the Galaxy Book Flex Alpha has LTE capabilities while the Lenovo c740 does not, is this correct?
So it really depends:
1: What operating system do you prefer?
2: Do you want to do light gaming or intense gaming (newer games that need high graphics)
3: Do you want a better value or a better device? The Galaxy Book Pro x360 is better then the Flex2 Alpha. But it could cost you hundreds more. They are the same speed, but the Galaxy book will have better battery life.
4: How important is battery life to you?
The range of devices you are considering, they are all over the place. So I'd need to know more to help
@@AndroidDigest Thank you for responding! I'll admit, I wasn't sure what I was looking for too much but those devices seem like they had good specs and were at a budget I could afford at the moment. I'll answer your questions now:
They all took a lot of storage in my current device (and one I had to use my phone for)
3. Probably a better device. I'm hoping it'll last me at least 4-5 years until I hunt for an even better model that has come out in that time. But overall, whatever fits my budget of around 1k-1.5k Usd
4. Probably one of my main factors along with specs. I'll be on the go most days I use it so I'm looking for at least 8-10 hours of battery life
As for some additional notes, I'm fine if the laptop doesn't come with the stylus.
@@AndroidDigest Alright, thank you so much! Your notes are really helpful!

Great review! What do you think about Lenovo Yoga 9i? Can you make a compression with Samsung Galaxy Flex Alpha? 😊
Oh and also will it be a problem if I keep it charging while using it?
No. It will get warmer if you do that though. If you plan to use it all the time while plugged in I would probably just recommend getting a desktop.. You can normally get a better value if you buy a desktop that stays plugged into the wall. But it's not a problem to use it off and on while charging. I do it fairly regularly myself
@@AndroidDigest thanks a lot!

The Wakom Bamboo pens are supposed to work pretty well from everything I've heard!

i bought mine through best buy on their open box section.
Great!...thanks for your help!...Great review by the way!
Just bought mine and i am testing it....may return it. Battery life ain't that great and the heating is pretty intense for no reason at all
The original Flex or the Flex2?
It's pretty thin so it can get warm depending on what you're doing. And if you use it while plugged in, that is a recipe for some heat, especially day 1 (remember the computer is updating and doing a lot day 1). Also, I would turn it from performance mode to one step down. I had some minor heat off and on but nothing major after the first few days and with some tweaks. But yeah. It doesn't have the battery life that some newer "evo certified" laptops have
Hey, I know this is an older video now and I'm not sure if you still have this laptop or not, but I was wondering if you could do a revisit to it after the Windows 11 update. I have mine on Windows 10 still and a bit skeptical to upgrade it to Windows 11 due to errors and bugs I've read about so far (especially battery drain). I just want to know what I can expect after updating it to Windows 11. Thank you in advance.
Hey! Sorry I don't have it currently. I will say that I had the Flex2 Alpha on Windows 11 Beta. I didn't face many issues. I'm pretty sure there's a way to go back to 10 if it doesn't work out
@@AndroidDigest Thanks for replying so fast! I figured you likely didn't have it anymore but I thought I'd ask. You were one of the only good reviewers I saw that reviewed this laptop. Anyways, I think I'll wait a little to update to Windows 11 just for some errors and such to (hopefully) get ironed out. I'm curious though, what errors did the Flex2 Alpha have?
@@edgarmolinalomeli8733 I didn't have any. I only used it for a couple of weeks on Windows 11, but didn't have any issues. I sold it since to review other things, but again didn't have any errors or issues in my time on 11. It was on beta, maybe a month ago
@@AndroidDigest Oh okay, thank you for your help! I appreciate it. In that case then I may update my original Flex Alpha much sooner. Thank you again and have a great day!
so far i like it but i dont like the fact that i cant find a case that works with it while its in tablet mode.. i bought it because i needed a pc plus i needed a new tablet cause mine was 6 years old so i firgured this could replace both, cause i use bluestacks to get my android apps to use..but i like it so far for my needs but i need a case cause i take it everywhere and i dont baby things after about 2 months. i cant even find a skin for this thing. why did they make a portable laptop with no protection, i cant even find a aftermarket.. makes me want to take it back and find something else that has a protective case before a break it
I understand what you mean... You really want to protect it. Most laptops don't have specific cases, because the case of the laptop itself already protects the screen.
There are a lot of genetic laptop sleeves you can get to carry it around in to protect it. But if you go to the store I think your going to find a similar thing with nearly every laptop. Normal laptops don't really come with much of anything for case options
what software do you use on the laptop to edit your videos
I personally use Movie Studio 17 Platinum. There are better softwares out there. It crashes here and there but it's worked for what I need
Does it come with a Bluetooth??
Yes it has bluetooth
How can I write the @ in that compu
I want a laptop specifically for video editing is this going to be a good choice?🙄
Are you trying to do 1080p video editing or 4k? And what program do you use?
@@AndroidDigest I want to edit 1080p videos on Adobe Premiere Pro and Sony vagos pro I also want to do some photoshop and Lightroom on my device so is this going to be suitable for me?
@@AndroidDigest plz reply
@@avanishgupta2373 so I haven't used adobe pro. But I know it will work great with photoshop, I use a sister program of sony vegas (movie studio) and it worked great for 1080p clips on video editing. Realistically this should edit 1080p footage just fine. Something with an 11th gen intel processor or something with a ryzen 4500u or 4700u would be a LITTLE bit better, since the newer processors are a little more powerful, but to get a laptop with those internals, 12gb of ram, and a 600nit screen, it's going to be hard to find. It may cost $1,000 or more. So may not be worth the extra price. Realistically this should do fine with 1080p video. Hopefully this helps
@@AndroidDigest thanks 😀🙏🏽
I want a laptop with price range 800$ to 850$ price range for programming..
Is Galaxy alpha good for me??
I'll just do programming i don't play games or anything extra...
I think it would be great! This review is on the regular Flex Alpha. The Flex2 Alpha is an upgraded model with better processors. It should be great for you
I recently reviewed the Flex2 Alpha. It's nearly identical to this, but I gave it a great review. I'm technically selling my review unit on eBay in mint condition too (the i7 model). It's a great little device and I would highly recommend it!
@@AndroidDigest thank u very much bro I appreciate your effort ❤
Could u tell me about price range of Galaxy flex 2 i7 variant?
@@kenji_mobilelegends yep. It starts at $1,050. It went on sale recently for $850. So that's the range. Between $850 and $1,050 new. Right now you can find it on eBay for $850 new too. That's why I'm selling mine (2 months old) for about $780 on ebay
Just get the M1 MacBook air, it has insane battery life, amazing build quality, amazing speakers and very good performance with no fan.
The no USB type C charging really was the deal breaker for me to. Thats why I ended up getting the new Samsung Galaxy Chromebook 13inch Red version. But this new red one doesnt have any USB ports or HDMI.
Samsung might be famous when it comes to mobile phones but laptops no asus still got the best laps
Yeah they don't have too many laptops. Samsung does make really good laptops.... But Asus does have a really big variety! I love the Asus brand
Asus has so many hardware problems...
Lenovo Thinkpad
Do you think I can make basic things on Photoshop with this laptop?
For sure! But the Flex2 Alpha is out now (I reviewed it) and it has better processors, in the US there tend to be a lot of deals on it. Check out my more recent videos. This or the Flex2 will be great though
@@AndroidDigest I think i'm going to buy this one, because I only use Word and watch some videos or Netflix, and also I want to save money. So ty for your help!
@@marissaurbi wait, how much is the price? There have been a lot of sales on the Flex2. I want to help you find a deal if I can. I've seen the Flex2 as low as $599. So just trying to help. And are you a student? With a student email?
@@AndroidDigest yeah i'm a student but I don't live on the US so for more afforable shipping I buy from Ebay, and wow has the flex2 been at 599??! I saw the oldest at that price!
I saw the Flex2 at $650 and the Flex laptop (the one this video) at 599 and I thought that was cheap
Where is tutorials
Laptop is a beast! Netflix movies look hella good!
One of the best screens I've seen on a laptop!
@@AndroidDigest yup! I definitely recommend.
@@AndroidDigest aye bro how much battery are you getting? I'm getting 2-4 hrs on just web browsing
I think I may have a faulty unit.
@@WestsideCA how high is your brightness? this screen can get up to 600 into brightness so if you are maxing it out at 400 nits or using the outdoor mode, I wouldn't be super shocked at that battery life. I was getting a normal 6 to 10 hours with basic use depending on what I was doing
@@AndroidDigest like at 70 percent. I'm not sure why but I'm definitely not seeing good battery life. I read reviews about other ppl not getting good battery as well
Hi, can you comment on the flex 2 alpha?
I made a video on it! My last video! Go to my channel at UA-cam.com/Androiddigest
Thanks. Waiting on the full review
@@francisoyih688 I've been using it for almost a week now so you could let me know any questions you have. It's pretty similar to the original Galaxy book flex Alpha, however it's faster and it has the 11th gen processors, other than that it's actually very similar. A really good laptop so far
This laptop is starting to go out of stock, so snatch it before it's gone! Still in stock at Samsung (as of this post)

Bro. Get a mic. For real
This is an older review. I filmed with a really good mic, but it was further away from the camera in an echoey room. I've improved my audio quality a lot since then, but still improving today!
I've finally been putting the mic much closer, and my audio quality has greatly improved, but still have had to battle noise reducing bugs or things outside, but it's still much better then this video 🤣. Still improving
