- Here is most of the cast from the excellent 1980 british film drama Mcvicar.
The soundtrack is a Daltrey solo album though it featured contributions from 3 other Who members.

Probably one of the best films and soundtracks ever .
Totally agree 100%
Agreed ,the book Macvicar by himself was also brilliant
I don't care how late it is I ain't going home ... Brilliant job.

EYE EYE YOU TRYING TO GET UP ME 😂😂
Me and my brother sing this after a good session in the boozer 🇬🇧
I met mcvicar once up the kings road one evening he was standing outside a shop holding two dogs , I said to my mate that looks like mcvicar over there and called out ‘JOHN’ then looked the opposite way just in case it wasn’t him, but it was him and he came over to the car and was really polite and made our night as we had a small chat about this film and his book . That was about 10 yrs ago , he still looked like he could look after himself . Now need to meet roger daltery and I’ll die a happy man
nice one!! 👌👍
Its on Daily motion though slightly speeded up
Great film and sound track too. The song ( without your love) holds a few memories. Glad to see there’s quite a few still with us.
good one jas
Brilliant film. There’s a part where Roger Daltry walks along West Hill past a car lot, I use to live around the corner from there. Love watching that scene as it was exactly like that in the early 80’s
Nice one mate! Yes one of my favs too
I lived in Fulham so I did too 👍🇬🇧🍀
Great movie, watched it the other night for umpteenth time. Met Mr. Daltry back in 91 whilst working at Pinewood Studios, what a lovely guy and very polite. Cheers Mark, appreciate.

Ralph Watson was a teacher at my 6th in 89/90 and Tony Rohr regularly came into where I worked in the 90’s… 🤔

"You can't win McVicar!"
"No, but I'll be the best fucking second you've ever seen!"

Bloody brilliant 👏
I've not seen this film but recognise many of the actors, TFS Mark! 😁
Your welcome Janny! 😊 its fact based and a really good film! Its not really glamourizing crime, just showing its reality
I really wish they would upscale this to 4k and use Dolby Atmos sound.
my favourite film great stuff you have a new subscriber
Awesome, thank you!
💯 the best movie made
One of my fave childhood movies
👌👍
One of my favourite films, I once met Russell Grant, Mcvicar's son.
Ricky Parkinson? Thats great mate, i couldnt find his picture anywhere! Their was a few but dont think it was him
@@MarkMahoney
No not the boy that played Russell,
Russell Grant him self.
Also a fantastic music album for the film as well.
👍yes i get you now, yes a great album
Did he tell you your future?
@@willhay6148
No, I make my own.
I remember watching Mcvicer and a film on Jimmy Boyle in English class in the 80's, I can't think for the life of me why, but two great films.....
A Sense of Freedom.
Brilliant film big fan of the who & Roger Daltrey wait 9 months to see mcvicar 🇬🇧👍.
👌👍
A massively underrated soundtrack, just wished the who played it live, even though technically it isn't the who, but you get my meaning.
What a classic x
yes one of my fav films! ☺️
Great film and soundtrack. Whats a matter streaky someone giving you a racking👏
Yes lol 👌
According to IMDB, Peter Jonfield was born in 1946 and is still alive.
Apparently he found it too difficult to earn enough as a jobbing actor. Last heard of driving a taxi in London.
Thanks for info! Wish he was in more stuff! Liked him as an actor
One of the classic British films of all time!
Got me through many Ireland postings.....along with the Great Rock n roll Swindle and Quadrophenia.
Brian Hall, Adam Faith, and Billy Murrey must have been cast to make Roger Daltrey look taller.
saw Georgia na hale walking in Albany street Camden 2/3 years ago distinctive look had a crush on her years ago the way she talked more than the way she looked ha ha
Definitely, a serious salt. I lived in Albany Street, years ago. Not far from the police station and the infamous White House hotel, near Goodge street tube station . I think it was a knocking shop back in the day. Georgina Hale serious crumpet back then. Used to be in Budgie with Adam Faith.
What a soundtrack ! Thanks to the who
My uncle was on remand in Brixton in the 80s for bank robbery he got not guilty clever genius anyway his cell had Mcvicars name scratched on the wall. RIP to both Mc and my uncle.
Brilliant film..😎👍👍
Yes one my favs too!👌
i bet the copy right team had a field day on this video
Great soundtrack, Great film.End of..Sunk to the nuts..lol
Durham light infantry.
Watch the film & you'll hear 2 prisoners moan about " fuckin peanuts in the curry" That always cracks me up.
Just noticed the news of Harry 'Aitch' Fielder has died at the age of eighty. About the only production Harry gets a credit, he has appeared as an extra or stunt double in dozens of classic films and many of the ITC television series of the 60's and 70's. Also posted on many film and television forums. RIP.
That opening with Free Me blasting out ! Classic blue and yellow Adidas TRX trainers and good old streaky , hold on though he was a sex case wasn't he , hang him hang him hang him 😂
i think they were singing it to the other guy who came out with guard protection
They were singing it to prisoner Cody, the one all the guards escort down the stairs, based on ian brady.
anyone remember A Sense of Freedom

I was only young when I 1st seen this..don't think I've watched it since..stuck in my mind..defo going to watch it cheers
I remember Georgina Hale from a kids show in the 80s called T bag, I think.
A delicious female, of her day.
Any chance you could do one of The Krays? The 1990 movie.
Good one mate il see what I can do
Yes, see if the Kemp twins are still mincing around in sequins pretending to sing.
Can’t find this full movie anywhere
Mate it's on daily motion, not a brilliant copy but watchable
@@MarkMahoney I’ll check that out.thanks mate
Of course McVicar is older. Is he a recluse now and does not do interviews?? I am curious where he is...
How come there is no information about Bobby Harris? (Peter Jonfield)? Can't be arsed googling it, too much hard work.
According to IMDB he was born in 1946 and is apparently still alive. Last seen on screen in an episode of Foyles War in 2006. An entry on the website "Familiar Unknown" in 2019 says : "I worked with him back in 1975. Excellent actor, wonderful man. It's a pity he gave it up but life as a jobbing actor is hard to make a living from. Last I had heard he was a taxi driver in London....." :)
@@Matelot123 Thank you for going to all that trouble. I appreciate it.
@@lennywebb6740 YW. It's no trouble. It's Nice to get answers to questions like that. Like scratching an itch. :)
