Hey it's Joey. We came up on you the other day while fishing. That is the best under water footage I have ever seen. You can see why they are hard to hook the way they nibble at it. NICE TOGS !!!
Nice meeting you out there! The fish are definitely more timid this time of year, I can't wait to actually see the difference of how much better the bite gets when the water warms up.
@@42captjoey I have a Hero 7 Black that I still use, good camera. I prefer the Hero 10 Black because you can use the enduro batteries that last longer. Either way, go for it.
Listen, I don’t mean to laugh, but that anticipation on my end was so high and I saw it was junk, I just had to laugh.😂😂😂😂😂Great Video regardless, you know I’m one of you favorite fans though!!!!!
Those were some beautiful tog. Up here in NY, fishing for them on the jig is by far my prefered method. Can really feel it when the fish picks up the jig and runs with it.
3:30 crazy how that fish even thought to flip over a rock to like for food, like how we think of crows as just birds even though they have crazy problem solving skills
@@offkilterfishing Once it gets a little warmer, I'm going to try under the big boats at the Coast Guard station next to Ft.Macon Park. Going to try using the Deeper fish finder first.

@@offkilterfishing I'm thinking of buying a go pro 7. Do you feel that would be a good choice for fishing ??

@@offkilterfishing I took your advise. Just ordered a Hero 10 with double charger and extra battery

These two are definitely some good ones for NC, I will be using the jig more often after these results.
The only thing better than catching tog is eating them. Try them in a tog chowder, the meat holds up well.

You think the fishing will still be good after all this cold and snow? Thinking of driving out to the coast this weekend
Worth a shot, going to be cold but the wind is supposed to be light.
Do you bleed out the tog's like you do the sheeps ?
Save the Tog heads for Spicy Korean Fish soup
Sounds good! I blackened these filets in cast iron. Fantastic...
Do you use a fish finder to locate where to drop your line?
I don't have a fish finder (sonar). I drop straight down so I don't get snagged.
