When it came out of the printer, he realized he printed 50 of them instead of 1. Just being confused of 49 extra copies. We put on on the nintendo logo on the back of the nintendo switch. It’s hilarious when people realized that the logo changed.

    I woke up 5am today. It feels terrific. I noticed this video few months ago never try to watch it. It felt intimidating since I wake up like 12pm 2pm afternoon even like 5pm sometimes. I always feel exhausted terrified of things. My life was practically ruined in some way. Today I woke up at 5am and I searched lots of things related my project. I felt so free and potential that are not found yet. I got out and walk on snow that not cleaned by city cleaner yet. 6 hours later, still 11am. This is crazy. Love it.

      They had other problems back then, I don't think that we necessarily have a harder life. I think we just have more opportunities to go the wrong path, but also more information/guidance to do things better (like this video). The way I use UA-cam is mainly for self-improvement and it has changed me quite a bit. Trying to get rid of all those nasty habits you get while not giving a shit about anything is hard, but doable.

    • @georgiosdoumas2446
      @georgiosdoumas2446 6 років тому +1

      No it is not true that it does not matter when you go to sleep. We are human beings , so we are supposed to go to bed early and sleep when it is night , and wake up just around sunrise. 7,5 hrs of sleep from 22:00-06:00 are better for the brain and body from 7,5 hours of sleep between 24:00-08:00 , and that 24:00-8:00 is still somewhat better than 02:00-10:00, and of course working night-shifts is the worst thing you can do (I realize that many people are forced to work in such jobs , but they should better try to stay in such jobs for as little time as possible).

    • @AtlisDe
      @AtlisDe 6 років тому +8

      no thats not always true, some people operate at different times. I.e. the terms night owls, and early birds. Early birds get up early, and operate best before noon, and night owls work best at night and even get "night strength". Its all dependent on personality.

    this video is really valuable bc he's mainly talking how to wake up at 5 am and what makes it easier, and how to change a very bad habit of looking at your phone for hours wasting your time instead of just saying basic stuff like just do it, doesn't matter how much sleep u get and what you do before going to sleep, wake up at 5 am and see how it changes your life.
    from me, as i haven't finished watching this video yet (so i dunno if he's gonna say that too), i'd recommend you reading before u go to sleep instead of watching stuff on your phone or computer - it rlly makes me sleep much better and also i tend to wake up earlier when i read before going to sleep. doesn't have to work the same for you but it's worth to try.

      Before I started trying to reduce my watch time, I'd get home from school at 3 PM not even change out of my uniform and watch UA-cam until dinner time (around 7PM). I'd then go back to watching videos until 10PM, then only would I start doing my homework (and study, hopefully) until midnight. I'd then continue to watch until 3AM then go to sleep. I'd then have to wake up at 5:30AM which I consistently fail to do. My UA-cam addiction has gotten so bad to the point where I literally study on the morning before the test.
      That's 10+ hours a day of screen time. I've never met anyone with that much UA-cam watch time and sleep deprivation.

    One habit that has been impacting my life since I started college was waking up earlier. It was difficult to start at 7AM, but now i work back to 5AM and 6AM during the week. This gives me at least 2 hours before my first class, so I am awake, aware of my surroundings, and have already had
    1.) morning devotional,
    2.) read from two different books (one intellectual and the other more towards self-improvement)
    3.) Written prayer/plan for the day as well as progress (optional) and
    4.) Had my tea and/or coffee
    Waking up early can be intimidating at times as one might be confronted with "why am I doing this" when you might not have a lot of work due, but he struck it home in the video that what we tend to do at night (my brain tends to stop functioning), is way less useful than what we can do fresh in the morning.
    Loved the video and I am going to start this challenge of a. charging the phone in another room, b. phone off at 9PM, bedtime at 10PM, and phone off until 8AM.
    Can't wait to see the results!

      I would only add that after having a coffee and or some breakfast, Go back and lie down and take a 15 to 30 min snooze after. then when you get up and head out you are refreshed. Sometimes it's hard not to fall back asleep doing this but after you have moved around and put food and liquid into you then it's not so bad. Of course doing this every morning isn't easy because of the extra time needed for the lie down.

    As a Muslim, we've 5 prayers per day, each prayer takes around 5 minutes, the first prayer is the earliest one, for example for now it is at 5:00 am, the time of prayer is changeable over the year, because of the daylight difference, day is longer in summer than in winter. So technically a conservative Muslim wakes up early all the days of his life.

    Oh my gosh thank you Jordan for sharing this with all of us. I relate 100% to what you are describing, and honestly last night I hit rock bottom because ever since 5 years ago, I have felt like there was no way out of my electronics addiction. I honestly felt so hopeless, and for the first time ever, I realized that I could not continue this lifestyle for even one more day. I was very unsure of what I could do to change my lifestyle, but I knew I had do to something, I just didn't know what. So as I fell asleep feeling really desperate, all I could do was pray to God and ask Him for help. But then today I was watching some messyges videos (which were all awesome btw) and then I happened to come across your channel. Then I saw this video and I heard God say "This is what you need to do. This is your answer. This is how you will be able to change your life for the better." Can I get an AMEN, because God heard my prayer and answered me through this video!!!! Thank you for making this video Jordan, I am so excited to (as of today) start improving my lifestyle! God bless you, Sarah and the rest of your family :)

    in 2017 when i left the military i wasnt in very good shape mentally or physically. the grind life of the navy took alot out of me. and all i did was continue bad habits. drinking, smoking cigarettes. i hit rock bottom and had a nervous breakdown new years eve of this year. ever since then i decided i'm not going to lose control of myself like that. Now i wake up early, exercise and am taking a lot better care of myself. it's amazing what a change in behavior patterns can do for mental health.

    Just watched this video for the first time. And Wow! It was such an answer to prayer for me! Lately with the covid quarintine and everything I have been feeling really addicted to my phone and go to bed realllyyy late. Like I'm wasting this cool opportunity that quarintine has given, of being at home and having free time. It's like the day just disappears. For a long while my goal has been to get up at 4:30 or 5, but it just never happens. I've tried to break it the past few weeks, but haven't known how. THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH FOR MAKING THIS VIDEO!!!! It was EXACTLY the help I needed!! It was so helpful for me to hear your "plan of attack" for breaking phone addiction habits!
    I wrote down how you're doing it because I think it's super effective!

    Even if you don't have a schedule that allows you to wake up at 5 (graveyard workers/swing), the message of putting your phone away is still very important. It just hit me through this video how often I sit in a parking lot watching Facebook videos, or Reddit, or UA-cam videos for the amount for the time it would have taken me to get my grocery list done for example. I have been almost late to work because I am just sitting at home on my phone. I am really gonna take this to heart. I waste so much time doing worthless bullshit on my phone/computer when I could be getting so much more done.

    I need to wake up early for work and unfortunately I can't keep my phone off for too long because I need it for work too. I don't know what this guy does for a living, but I don't think this change can apply to everyone alike (especially considering that he lives in a very quiet place surrounded by nature and not in the middle of the city like many others). I will admit that I waste time at night watching UA-cam videos or Netflix shows for hours and I have often considered waking up earlier to work out or read a book.
    Nice video though. It has inspired me to make some changes in my routine!

      To be fair, he did talk about how this change is impacting HIS life. And I don't think you can find many videos with advice that applies to everyone :P
      Anyway, I just thought I'd mention that there are apps that will track what amount of time you spend doing what on your phone. Seeing it all laid out in front of you might really drive home the point if you've been thinking about making a change. Hope this helps

      I believe this video is more of “reflect on your life and figure out what you’re addicted to that you may not realize”. It spoke to me because I am also HOOKED on my phone. I just deleted all my social media apps as of two days ago because I would literally just sit on Facebook, refreshing, even though no one posted anything new. That’s what he’s getting at. For him, it was probably UA-cam. And I have also been in a situation where I was already waking up at 4:45 just in enough time to rush out of bed and get out the door for work, so it doesn’t apply to everyone for sure. But when you get home, what are you doing with your day? I think that’s more where he’s coming from.

    • @monstertrucks4all909

      Brandon S Relax man. The point of the video was that he was spending too much time on his phone without being productive and he changed that. If you don't have this problem then good on you, but don't crap on people that do things differently than you.
