To be fair, I could maybe see Jon attempting to help Sabrewulf after the fight if he didn't get affected by the blood moon but I think after that and Sabrewulf almost killing him, Jon realized there was no hope for him.

And yes, I know they're dark lords and not vampires, but in Silmarillion (which is set in the time before The Hobbit and LotR when he was liutenant of Morgoth), it was described that Sauron transformed into vampire bat creature. And in Bionicle 2: Legend of Metru Nui movie, Makuta Teridax was able to "suck" bird-Rahi Niwak and the two Dark Hunters Krekka and Nidhiki into his vortex form in order to merge with them into winged Shadow Titan (or Ultimate Dume as a toy), which is the closest thing to vampire in Lego series made for kids.

INSANELY overjoyed that Darkstalkers is getting some recognition, this was one of the best Death Battles I've seen. Not gonna lie, I also danced a little when Jon won. He's such an underappreciated Darkstalkers character and I loved how this ended in his favor.

When Jon said that line, its heartbreaking. Sabrewulf spent so much time trying to fight the beast within. Seeing another werewolf calling him a monster means that Sabrewulf is not human anymore, and that just sucks
Then, Jon gives into his beastly side, while Sabrewulf has always been trying to hold back his beastly side

After hearing about Sabrewulf's back story, he's probably relieved to finally die
Honestly there's always something so interesting in a fight between two werewolves. It's a visceral spectacle that most normally never witness, since both are far beyond what we would call normal limits. While both are still men, this was still a fight between savage beasts, and beasts do not show mercy.
I think it's mainly because Werewolves are pretty underutilized. At least compared to their monster rivals like vampires and zombies.
Zombies are easy; they generally don't require complex characterization or extended arcs. Drop them in and point them in the direction of the target. Shoot their heads or blow them to bits and they're down.
Vampires, beginning in the era of Stoker's Dracula (who had Romani to help him, thankyouverymuch Hollywood), are aristocratic and sexy, an easy way of both punching up and expressing forbidden sex appeal. (Although the aristocratic part has changed in the 21st century.) Vampires are also a way of expressing minority conflict with a majority that hates them, and vampiric limits mean they aren't _too_ dangerous.
Werewolves? When they aren't straight monsters, they're very complex, and often come from the common population. You can't bar them from a house by not inviting them in, or distract them with scattered grain to count. They're smarter than zombies, even in full beast-mind, and kill as a beast does, rather than a neat neck puncture. They're hard to put in a little safe box.

Yeah. One has a decent written character that’s somewhat grounded in reality vs a super anime weebs wet dream lol who seriously though Sabre had a chance honestly.
The Darkstalkers were given a well-deserved bone for Jon to bury in the dirt.
One this I really like about this death battle is the sound effects of their blows landing. Instead of the classic “fist impact” sound (I don’t know how to describe it), they went with one that is a *thud* *splat*, the claws striking flesh.

The one thing I notably love about the dynamic of this match-up is how both are complete opposites.
Whereas Jon eventually learned to regain his humanity and control the beast within him, Sabrewulf on the other hand gave into it.
This is probably the Most GORIEST death battle I’ve ever seen.

@Mario Griffin uh no, simple supernatural lore man. Very few beings despite claiming immortality can't survive decapitation or heart extraction, vampires and werewolves being two of them. Scientifically when you think about it we heal from injuries as well minor or severe damaged tissue CAN repair itself. But we still need our brain to be intact and attached.

Thing is that Boombstick is actualy RIGHT, Saberwolf IS a vampire. just not in the normal western sence of the word.
in vampire lore they are master's of the childern of the night, otherwise know in the west as vampire spawn, however they can commanly be mistaken for wearwolves.
also look at his powers. Rage and Blood thirst with a chunk of animal control thrown wraped in a beasule form, with an compleat lack of self controll, All marks of the vampire spawn.
It was clear who was more powerful, but I've seen martial arts characters shredded by more brutish enemies. I only guessed at the outcome here, and it does not disappoint. It's much better than how I hoped it would go. Fits the tropes very well, and that's how a monster vs. monster fight should be, regardless if one seems more heroic and the other more like a vicious beast.

Some reactions for one of my wanted episodes: Tails vs Sapphie (from Jewelpet)
Pre-analyses: Not a clue about Sapphie, but Tails not only reached his lowest point in Sonic Forces, but hasn't improved since his fight against Luigi.
Pre-battle: Now that I know what Sapphie is capable of, both magic-wise and tech-wise, especially surviving a massive explosion that was visible from space and creating a giant space rocket which would explode with a radius of 10 kilometers, Tails isn't gonna win, *especially* since he's done nothing but stand around operating a non-magical iPad lately as opposed to Sapphie's magical one!
Post-battle: Now I want to watch Sapphie's show and buy her toy! That fight animation was just like stepping into said show and showed that Tails couldn't put a dent in her and she would eventually blow him up!
Justification: We need a *much* more powerful and better-written canon Tails, and he needs Tails Adventure 202X! While you're at it, Sega, those of you who worked on Bayonetta need to give Sapphie her own game too, since you also own her show Jewelpet!
